Hotel vacation rentals in Shenandoah Valley

What a great experience! Clean, cozy, loved the location by the canal and 2 blocks from the Potomac, right beside an excellent Italian restaurant and within walking distance of all the shops. Based on the pictures, I did expect two queen size beds but our room had one queen and futon. This was not an inconvenience for me though. Maybe I had overlooked something in the description. The check-in kiosk is outside, and we had no problems using it. We had asked for a place to drop off our luggage before the check-in time. When we came at 9 am no one answered the doorbell, but when we tried again after 10 am someone was there to let us in. They had several cupboards available that could easily fit two roller bags each where we could leave our luggage locked and take the key with us. You may want to confirm that someone will be present to answer the doorbell if you request to drop off your luggage early. We’re so thankful for the wonderful experience!

I love old buildings with a story and let's just say it's super cool. Every bit of my stay had an interesting twist and I'm not sure WHY more people aren't catching on. My suite was on the 3rd floor (stairs only) with exposed brick and plenty of space. Next time, it will be over the winter and I plan to stay a bit longer to work on a few projects. My only complaint is that the TV needs to be larger for the living room (the one in there is too small) and there should be three a/c units. One for each bedroom and the living room. :)

This was an awesome deal. Great stay for the money, right in the heart of downtown Elkins in walking distance to lots of food and fun. The dice was Private, relaxing and peaceful. The only issue was that it was super hot in the room and space, but I would definitely stay here again.

I normally don't like hotels, but the Wyndam is delightful. Right in the middle of the inner harbor, with great staff and a great room. A great place to stay in the pandemic. Sparkling clean, and the staff goes out of its way to keep you safe. We quarantined here to get away from home and the space was large and the bathtub was delightful. Lots of takeout in the area!

I found this room at the last minute and had no idea what to expect. The location was perfect and the property was beautiful. Dina was an excellent host! I’m looking forward to returning when I can stay longer.

We loved being able to walk to so many places to eat and attractions from our hotel/BnB. The front porch swing and rockers quickly became a favorite place to sit and people watch in the evenings. We also enjoyed the "officer's talk" in the yard next door. The three guys who spoke were very knowledgeable. Overall, this was a great place to stay. Owners were very helpful, and seemed excited to host us.

If you are going to DC - then this is the place to stay -- outside of the hustle and bustle of DC - steps from the King St Metro station - Super Easy on and off - Near Old town Alexandria - The Wyndham was the perfect spot for our first trip to DC

Amazing place, and service!

I had a great stay at Alexandria mark center. Easy location to find, easy check in and beautiful location. I was on the top floor and I had a beautiful of the city. Clean room, private and quiet and pretty close to downtown DC. I would love to book this place again and I definitely recommend anyone in the area to book with confidence. Well worth the money.

The hotel was right off highway and easy to find. There were a number of dining options in walking distance. A quiet and comfortable hotel stay. Staff were friendly with an easy check in. The hotel offers wifi, pool and gym access. And, Includes endless still and sparking water options along with tea and coffee 24/7.

We loved our stay at Oakhurst, I hadn’t been in Charlottesville in nearly a decade and it was my wife’s first time there. The proximity to grounds made me feel like I was back in school and made her feel like she was enjoying the student experience. The staff at the hotel and at a restaurant downstairs were kind and friendly, and the bathroom was spacious and clean. We will definitely be going back and I have already recommended the hotel to my fellow alumni on our group chat!

Great place

The owners are very nice and friendly couples. We enjoyed their daughter performance some songs at night to entertain us. We felt like home and will visit again.

A great place with lots of room inside and outside as well. Located in a historic neighborhood that is like stepping back in time. It was very clean and well organized and had everything we needed.

Linda was very clear with her communication whether it was about checking in or answering a question. The room was very clean and also spacious. Upon our arrival we found an information book that told us everything we needed and know. If need be we would definitely stay here again.

Terry was helpful. She showed up right away when we arrived to help us check in. The space was very clean and worked perfectly for our 3 (partial) families. We did have blizzard-like conditions while there so it was perfect to have a cozy place to relax during the wild weather. We did use the whole house and each space was well-appointed and very clean. My stay was great! Very clean and nice. I arrived very late but there was no problem with that. It was VERY quiet. My friends live local and they recommended Cherri’s place.

this place is not what you expect and that is a good thing the pictures on the Airbnb website do it no justice the pictures are beautiful but the home itself is way more beautiful than what you expect you're getting more than your money worth staying here.
