We call it the Boathouse, but it could just as easily be called the treehouse. It sits just feet from a tidal creek amidst giant live oak trees. A short dock is right outside the door, so bring your kayaks or other small craft. Although cozy, it offers everything a simple cottage should. Shem Creek is minutes away, as are the beaches. We had a wonderful stay in this home! Everything was exactly as described and in the photos. The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools and extras we needed to do a little cooking...all we needed to bring was the groceries. I loved that each bedroom had it's own private little half-bath..and then a shared tub/shower in between. Gave us plenty of privacy. The back yard sitting area was simply adorable. The location was absolutely perfect. It was so quick and easy to buzz over to the beach every morning for sunrise, come back and eat breakfast, and then go on into Charleston and our other adventures. The owner was very kind and responsive as well. All in all it was a perfect home base for our trip and we would love to stay here again!

Rich was great! He made the stay easy and enjoyable. He even provided a couple of bikes to get around with. We could ride around the neighborhood, to Shem Creek, and we even went downtown for a day. Whatever our day included, there was a great place to come back to and relax.

If you’re looking for a cute little place to chill for the weekend, this is a great choice! While the bungalow is a little smaller than anticipated (for 2 adults/2dogs), the fully fenced yard makes up for everything else. The yard is pretty much completely shaded by beautiful oak trees, and my dogs loved every second we spent out there. The road is busy during the day, but at night, it quiets down, and all you can hear are the cicadas.

A well-appointed bathroom features a combination bath and shower with a glass enclosure. A modern vanity with a smooth countertop holds essential toiletries. Elegant lighting fixtures and a large mirror enhance the space, while towels are neatly arranged for convenience.

The guesthouse is over the detached garage, but felt like it's own individual location. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and is in close proximity to several great seafood restaurants and bars. We met Paige when we arrived and she made us feel very welcome and offered any assistance we may need. This property is the "homiest" air bnb we have rented. It had all of the necessary dishes and cookware/utensils anyone could need. The experience was fantastic and we highly recommend Paige and Perry's place if you need a rental in the Charleston area.
