The Acorn is on the southern side of Bishops Stortford, roughly 15 minute walk from town centre. There is a river behind you can stroll along, outdoor space, and the room is light and airy. Private gated parking for one vehicle. The place is secluded good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and one well-behaved furry friend (pet). (Please note that the hosts live 15 mins away & not next door). With transport links nearby (bus, train, Stansted airport), the adventure starts here!

Egyptian cotton linen and black out blinds in all bedrooms. Outdoors enjoy the wood burning hot tub, feed the chickens, take a stroll round our lake or discover the zip wire in the wood!

This basic but spacious one-bedroomed annexe is suitable for up to 3 adults or a family of 4 (if one of the children is under 6). Well-behaved dogs are welcome! It is the ground floor of a family house. There is one bedroom that has a double bed, a single bed, and a toddler bed. You will have the flat to yourself but might hear some noise from the family above. It is on a family-friendly street with a big park opposite. We can provide an extra camp bed if needed.

It is open on Thursday Friday and Saturday evenings for dinner also. There is also a local grocery store and hairdressers nearby.

I have to say the stay was perfect for me. I needed somewhere for a few days to work at my desktop (workstation was perfect), cook food and the basics of showering and sleeping comfortably. Leah’s place ticked all these boxes and was perfect for me. Would recommend.

Host was easy to reach and extremely helpful. On our first day, I had issues getting the door opened. Host even sent someone to help us take a look to see what was wrong with the key. Turns out the actual key fell off the key ring in my bag and I didn’t realize until we were both standing at the door trying to figure out what was going on. Location was great! Just a bit too noisy at night but the unit is on the Main Street with the windows facing the street so it couldn’t be avoided. Great stay overall!

Both Jodie and Lee have been extremely welcoming considering i booked last minute. The place was great and exactly as advertised. I wish my stay could have been more relaxing due to some family circumstances but I will definitely come back and would certainly recommend them to any future folks that are looking to stay in Bishops Stortford.
