The River Cabin is a simple but beautiful original log home that has a gorgeous view of Schroon River and Schroon Falls. It is privately located on a quiet lot but also only 200 feet off of Route 9. This cabin was built in 1977, by our family. It has access to a private swimming hole where you can kayak, swim, fish or just hang out. This cabin has a full kitchen, living room with propane fire place, 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The basement has a unique game room with poker table and bar.

Why stay in a motel room when you can stay in our 3-bedroom, 2-1/2 bath house with a family room, laundry machines and a full kitchen? Our house is located in Schroon Lake village. It is a great home base for any Adirondack adventure or just a great place to relax. It’s a short walk or ride to the town beach, town park, tennis courts, town boat ramp, restaurants, grocery store, pubs, shops, post office, and Stewarts Shop and gas station. Boat rentals are available at the Schroon Lake Marina.

This A Frame is a one bedroom with private entry. It is attached to the main house, which can also be rented during the fall and winter months. During the summer the beach area is shared with the other 2 cabins on the property. The space has its own thermostat for heat and an air conditioner available as well for a the summer months. In addition, the property has A smart TV, DVD player and a selection of moves. Property recently renovated to include a full kitchen with a mini refrigerator.

The property is roomy and private but also has two main houses and two barns within sight. We are 8 minutes from the Schroon Lake village with the river within walking distance to swim, kayak or tube in. This is also a great location for many of the tourist attractions like hiking, boating, fishing, skiing/snowboarding and snowmobiling.

This charming pet friendly house was the perfect getaway. The house was clean, cozy and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Traffic is minimal on the road helping enhance the atmosphere of solitude. The view from the house is incredible. We kayaked Beaver Pond right from the dock, which is literally steps from the back door. Would definitely go again.

This was my second time coming back to Loon Cabin. It is a PERFECT get away for 2 people (and 1 dog) ;) the cabin is small but quaint, the screen porch area we made our own little spot for games and morning coffee. It’s the perfect walking distance from the town and perfectly placed on a dead end street with a small beach right on Schroon Lake. Linda is the perfect host, easy to get in contact with, extremely accommodating, she does a great job keep up the cabin, everything works, and she provides many amenities. If you’re looking for a long weekend away in a quiet ADK town, Schroon and Loon Cabin is it! Can’t wait to come back next year!

Used house as base for local fishing areas. Very comfortable living area , clean ,well equipped for meals, beds comfortable. Good communication with owners. Scenic area.

We had the incredible pleasure of staying at Elyse’s home in the days leading up to our wedding, and I can honestly say it was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had. The house itself is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and full of charm. Every room has its own personality, and the views of Schroon Lake are simply breathtaking. Waking up to the morning mist and soft fog rolling over the water felt like something out of a dream. Whether we were sipping coffee on the cozy deck, relaxing by the fire, or enjoying dinner in the sunroom overlooking the lake, every moment was serene. Elyse and her husband were the most gracious hosts—thoughtful, kind, and genuinely warm. You can feel the care they’ve poured into this home and the joy they take in sharing it. We couldn’t recommend this place more to anyone looking for a restful escape or a meaningful stay in nature. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

A beautiful cozy cabin. Easy to use electronic lights, shades, wood-burning, stove, and speakers. Comfortable beds, exactly what I was looking for! Back porch was lovely with the lights at night. Loved listening to the birds. It was a lovely peaceful weekend.

While the weather didn't cooperate we still had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful and very clean and comfortable. Location is pretty and convenient. We appreciated the heaters on the porch; such a bonus we didn't think we would need in late May!! Would love to stay again.
