A stone arch bridge spans the flowing River Derwent, surrounded by lush greenery. Smooth, round stones line the riverbank, and sunlight filters through the leaves, casting gentle shadows on the water's surface, creating a serene natural setting.

Foxwood Cottage, In the heart of Borrowdale

ClareRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We absolutely loved our stay at Foxwood Cottage. The location is truly breathtaking, with stunning views from every window and corner of the garden. Waking up to the sound of the river and birdsong was such a treat. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a BnB with such beautiful surroundings. The cottage itself is cosy, welcoming, and well-equipped with everything you could need. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and we all slept so well. There are also two fantastic pubs nearby — The Yew Tree and The Langstrath Country Inn — both serving delicious food and have a friendly atmosphere. A brilliant stay from start to finish. Thank you so much!
A view is captured from an open doorway, revealing a vibrant green landscape framed by a wooden fence. Inside, a red sofa is complemented by a checkered blanket. The warm wood flooring contrasts with the soft carpet, creating a cozy entryway atmosphere.

Birch view

Lovely host, incredibly helpful, gave us recommendations of where to visit while we’re in town. Location is stunning with views of the hills. Perfect location situated within all the major trails and a short drive of Keswick - would recommend Ullswater for a swim. Toilets and showers super clean. Cabin itself was cosy and as pictured, just remember to bring lights! 10/10.

Exclusive 3 bedroom detached home with garden

PearlRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Our stay was wonderful and beyond expectations. The house itself was squeaky clean, comfortable and very beautiful. We really appreciated the spacious and well-equipped kitchen as we didn’t eat out much. Martin’s arrival instructions were very clear and helpful. The hamper of local goods was a lovely surprise! The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful and the location was great. Just 15-min walk to Nichol End Marine for water sports and walkable distance to Keswick town centre. Would love to come again!

Hot tub, Mountain View, 4-poster bed & log burner

AlanRating, 5 stars12 months ago
First holiday in the Lake District and it was great! The cottage was brilliant, just right for us, clean and tidy, 4 poster bed was impressive and not forgetting the hot tub which was excellent after a day's walking. Hazel and Steve were very helpful on recommended walks, we didn't use the car since all the walks in the local area were fantastic. We walked for 5 days, weather was great, one of the best hoildays we have had, so peaceful, freindly people whereever we went to, on the 6th day we rested....the feet deserved a break! Thank you Hazel and Steve for making it such a wonderful stay, it would be nice to do it again. Best wishes, Grace & Alan

Little Ada, Keswick - 1 Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 2

ShonaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
The cottage was clean and as described with the host having left us cleaning supplies, toilet paper, towels etc. The property was also in a great location close to the town centre and easily walkable from the local hikes. The home was clean with the amenities described on the listing and the local area had some lovely cafes, pubs and restaurants.
The image captures a serene water scene surrounded by rugged rock formations under a clear blue sky. The surface of the water reflects the landscape, creating a sense of tranquility. Gentle ripples are seen, adding a dynamic element to the stillness.

Beautiful hideaway in the heart of Lake District

GemmaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Very much as described, glamping with no running water or electricity however, it was the perfect location for an off-grid getaway. We had 2 big dogs (lurchers) & they fit just fine on their beds in the available floor space. We didn't speak to Debs but John met us as we arrived & left, very friendly, very welcoming & helpful. Great base for doing a variety of the Borrowdale walks. Definitely take extra firewood & if the weather is nice, a gas stove will be useful so you don't have to light the indoor stove. We also brought a coolbox so we could store cold food securely. Being able to leave our washing up & water container at the door then go out & come back hours later to replenished water & everything clean was a lovely touch. Really appreciated the whole experience

A wonderful cottage in Newlands Valley

SusanRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We had a fabulous week. The cottage was perfect, everything you could need was there and Caroline even left us some much appreciated milk, fruit and eggs. The cottage was spotless and smelt so lovely (the diffuser in the lounge could be smelt the whole of downstairs). There are some walks straight from the cottage and Newlands Valley is absolutely beautiful, with amazing views from the cottage. Would definitely recommend staying here and hope to again ourselves in the future.
