Converted chapel, en-suite, super king bed, WiFi

Pauline was a fantastic host and her home is lovely, I felt very welcome there. The bedroom was spotless and very comfortable, and the local area was nice (there is a country park a few minutes walk away which was really lovely for a walk/run)
A modern living area is presented with a dark sectional sofa adorned with yellow accent pillows. A bright coffee table sits in front, and natural light filters through the window covered by horizontal blinds. A soft carpet adds comfort to the space.

18th century lock keepers cottage

PaulRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What a great find Lock Keeper’s Cottage was for a lovely weekend away. If you’re looking for a quiet get-away in a traditional cottage right on the canal then this is for you. Your only neighbours are moored up barges/narrowboats - some permanent and others just passing through. Chat with the local owners or those navigating the canal lock on your doorstep and you’ll find how friendly they all are. At the back of the property there’s a large decking and the sizeable garden looks across open fields and is surrounded by a run off stream from the canal - you’ll have a to an eye of children if you’re taking them but this stream is only a few inches deep for the most part. Walking is easy - there’s woodland opposite (part of the Babworth Estate) with paths and, of course, the canal path itself. The cottage itself is really cosy with the 2 lounges and a well equipped kitchen. The stairs to the bedrooms are steep and may be a challenge for the less agile though.
A cozy sleeping area features a spacious bed draped with a mustard-colored blanket. Dark green walls are complemented by two pieces of wall art, while natural light enters through a nearby window adorned with light curtains.

Friar tuck cosy single room in Robin Hood country

PeterRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Where do I start? This place was incredible and exactly as advertised. Rachael is a very responsive host and easy to communicate with. The bathroom was modern, clean and had a decent shower. My room was provided with a towel and even a little sweet upon arrival. The little thoughtful features didn’t stop there. In the morning there was toast and cereal to have as well as hot drinks. The best part was that the table was cutely set with bowls, plates, cups and cutlery for us all to sit and have breakfast together. Unfortunately, I was off out earlier than everyone else but it was the thought that counted. I attended many events at Sherwood Forrest and I will 100% be back. Peter
