Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Scarborough

Maxine's place was exactly as described and perfect for our needs for one night in Scarborough. Chose this accommodation as we were attending a music concert and it was in walking distance of the Scarborough open air theatre where the band were playing. Great location for anyone wanting an overnight stay after a concert.

Carole and Mike are very nice, friendly and helpful. They gave us lots of advice for sightseeing around York. Carole would tell us the time for taking a bus to York City Center every day. We are afraid of being cold, Mike tried his very best to give us more heat by burning fire to send more heat to our room. We wanted to go to Sunday worship, Carole is kindly to bring us to her church by car, and we enjoyed the church service very much. It is a very quiet and peaceful place, everything is clean, and the bed is very comfortable, we slept very well there. We cooked our meals in the house, and everything needed for cooking is ready and convenient. That's really a good place to rest. We highly recommend it to people to stay there for a holiday. We really appreciate Carole and Mike, and thank them from our hearts!

I stayed with Carol and John for about 2 months from Toronto and it was an amazing stay! Everything was set up beautifully and the room was really comfortable. They were really helpful whenever I had any questions and it immediately felt like home. The house is really lovely and in a nice neighborhood - there’s a little grocery nearby that has all the basic items you might need. I’d love to stay with them when I visit York again!

We stayed here for 2 nights to attend a family event. Couldn't fault anything. Massive comfy bed and beautiful quality bed linen. Fresh milk, which is a bonus and lovely large shower with quality toiletries.

Susan was a great host. Lovely full english breakfast in the morning, and good recommendation of a pub down the road for tea. She even made me a ham sandwich and pastry for lunch. Would fully recommend

Carol is very Helpful and Responsive. She has roamed a lot in India and also some other part of the world and can indulge into meaningful discussions. The room is full of things that she has collected from India and some other parts , which is interesting. The breakfast served by her was tasty and to our liking. Would love to come back and stay again at her place.

The old vicarage is set in stunning gardens right next door to a 12th century church. Accommodation superb with lots of space and the most enormous double bath. Jane is a very friendly and helpful host who gave us loads of useful local tips. No cooking facilities but Jane was happy for us to bring our own breakfast stuff and use the fridge. Don’t hesitate - this is one of the best Airbnb places we’ve ever stayed at.

Katy & Stephen are really friendly and made us welcome. Our room was spotlessly clean, peaceful and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast provided with lovely home made bread and jams. It's in a lovely area, with lots of great walks to explore.

We loved our stay at Ruth’s. She was a wonderful host, ensuring that we had a most comfortable and enjoyable time in her special house. Of all the places we have stayed in Whitby, this was by far the best. We can’t wait to return!

Spent a very comfortable night at Mulgrave, wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Spacious room, great shower and a lovely breakfast. Surroundings are very tranquil lovely spot to relax.

This accommodation is part of a very busy multi-generational farming family’s farm. So comfortable. Rooms are big & well fitted out with everything you need. It is a short drive from Scarborough in a very quiet rural location making for a great night’s sleep. The nearby pub in West Heslington served a really good evening meal on the host’s recommendation. Annie does an outstanding breakfast including a very nice fresh fruit salad plus whatever takes your fancy as far as cooked goes. Too much but too good to resist. The dining room for breakfast is a truly inviting space. David is a great host. Friendly, interesting, talkative & efficient. There is nothing that I would change about our time here. Thanks to all of the family for welcoming us.

We had a great stay at Zoe’s b&b. We were greeted on arrival and felt very welcomed. The property is tasteful and beautifully maintained as well as spotless. We were ideally located for a pretty walk down to the seafront. Zoe gave us lots of advice on places to visit. Breakfast was fab and we would definitely stay again. Thank you Zoe, Clare & David

Charmian and her husband were lovely hosts. The accommodation is well located, very clean with great attention to details like crisp towels, good shower gels, comfy mattress and sophisticated interior. Would stay again!

We had the most perfect stay at The Larch Room. Beautifully located in a pristine hamlet with the most amazing host. We felt right at home from the minute we arrived. Hannah was always responsive and gave us the warmest of welcomes, with her wonderful family. I cannot recommend Hannah’s scrambled eggs on toast enough 🥰 so far as to say it would be worth the drive from the Lake District just to have it again! There has clearly been love, care and attention put into the The Larch Room and if ever in the area again we would not hesitate to book straight away and advise you to stop looking and just book it too 😌. Staying with Sandra represents excellent value.A good choice at breakfast, including cooked, not just continental. Sandra is very accommodating re meal times. As a bonus, you may even get magic tricks at breakfast, performed by David, who is a full time entertainer.

We had a lovely stay, everything was spotless and the room was really nice. Rachael left coal for us in the main room if we wanted a fire in the evening and was very welcoming at breakfast. Breakfast was lovely and everything was as described. Would definitely visit again!

A great place to stay while exploring Whitby and the surrounds. Very flexible with the check-in time as we were casually sightseeing in Scarborough on the day of arrival. Easy check-in and informative from the off. Comfy beds and a great shower in the room and fantastic, varied yummy breakfast in the morning set us up for both days stay. Service went above and beyond on the day of leaving when we had a problem with footwear of all things. Simply excellent service all round during our stay. Many thanks again.

Anne was the perfect host - friendly, flexible and accommodating. Her house is located in the beautiful village of Skelton, very convenient for getting in and out of Central York, and it modern, clean, bright and airy. The room is large, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is superb (bath and shower!). It was an added bonus meeting Anne's three gorgeous cats! Will definitely be staying again if I am up in the area any time soon.

Amazing value spot to spend a night while on a bike tour in the North York Moors. Loved it!

Rachael was a lovely host and the room was very nicely outfitted. I especially appreciated the wool blanket on the bed. We enjoyed our stay in the picturesque Hutten-le-Hole and Rachael was kind enough to make dinner reservations for us as we were travelling with little connectivity. We had a lovely experience there! Oh, and being greeted by a friendly border collie was awesome. For those of us missing our dogs at home, we appreciated getting a little dog love.

Jan is an excellent host. Very welcoming and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Even offered to pick us up from town if we needed it. The accommodation is spacious, clean and well kitted out. It is next to the railway line so there is some noise. It didn't bother us and if needed she even provides ear plugs! We visit York annually and would be more than happy to stay there again if it is available.
