Family-friendly vacation rentals in Scarborough State Beach

Had a great stay at this beautiful home! Plenty of space for our party and a lovely yard/outdoor space was a bonus. Convenient to many places to eat in Portsmouth/Newport and easy to get to/from.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. It was so very peaceful and we loved being literally right around n the water! Slept amazingly well and the cottage was just lovely! Robert was also a great host. 5 stars all around and we hope to return again!

Andrew was an excellent host and this was the perfect place for a family. We have been coming to Newport for years and this is one of the best places we have stayed. Highly recommend!

Went with family for a weekend trip. Tracy and Patrick’s home is lovely, very beautiful and well maintained. And everyone enjoyed including my kid who found a lot of toys to play.

We always love going to this cottage. It’s our favorite. It’s actually one of our favorite places. To go a few times a year winter summer. We just spent memorial weekend there. A little doggies loved it. Home away from home so cozy. Bobby the host is wonderful. My daughter boyfriend came up and they absolutely loved it and my son came from Texas to spend one night. It was his first time there he loved it. We already planning on going back. Fantastic getaway. If you need to distress and want calmness. This is the place to come to. And the town of Mystic has great restaurants Like I said it’s our favorite place to come to and I’ve been to quite a few…. Just got home today and I’m seeing if I can book some sometime in October to go back we love it.

Linda’s place was a perfect spot to visit Watch Hill, Westerly, Stonington, and Mystic. The pond view is beautiful and Linda was so welcoming and friendly. We brought our dog who was having a bit of separation anxiety and Linda was very understanding. The apartment is lovely and private and well appointed. Highly recommend!

This was a fabulous destination! We were looking for a big place to have a special anniversary party weekend with extended family, and this house had everything we needed. Plenty of bedrooms upstairs and first floor, many common gathering areas, large kitchen and dining room tables, and lots of Space. (And this doesn't even include the explorable property outside.) The dozens of photos in the listing were very helpful, as well as the detailed descriptions. We had specific needs for elderly relatives with disabilities, and owner Lynne was so responsive in her replies to my many messages with varied questions. Truly, Lynne, you deserve a gold star from Airbnb for promptness and offering up ways and help that made our stay both easier and fulfilling.

This home is gorgeous and filled with timeless artifacts and family heirlooms. Beautiful spots to sit outside with a morning coffee. My partner and I made a point of staying in and cooking one night because we felt right at home and wanted to appreciate the ambiance. We enjoyed the privacy and proximity to Newport very much as well. Well outside any potential chaos of downtown yet only a couple minute drive to Easton Beach. Thank you so much!

I went with a group of girls and it was perfect for what we needed! It was so cute and spacious. It was too cold for us to utilize the roof top deck area but on a warm sunny day it would be perfect! There was plenty of room for all of us to get ready. All the bedrooms were big as well. The location was walkable to everything! Parking was great as well and easy. The host responded to all my questions very quickly. This was one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed at. I would definitely recommend!!!

This house was fantastic! We felt right at home. It was immaculately clean and well appointed. Everything you could possibly think of was right at our fingertips . The location is perfect. Everything Mystic is steps away. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a family or friend trip in a great place. And Sheri Ann was very quick to respond to any questions. We’ve stayed in many places and this was undoubtedly the best. 5 Stars.

Wonderful weekend stay at Kathleen’s oceanfront cottage. Charming neighborhood makes you consider moving to Newport if you could afford it! Loved our stay and would love to return in the future. Kathleen is a superb and welcoming host.

This place was beautiful! The kitchen was spacious and accommodated our larger group nicely. Hosts left clear instructions and proactively checked in. They were even nice enough to open their pool a little earlier so we could enjoy it. Highly recommend staying here if you are planning a girls’ weekend. Really enjoyable, clean, and spacious home with lots of extra amenities I typically don’t find in other rentals. Kitchen was really well stocked. Absolutely beautiful space! Very comfortable and cozy! We enjoyed every bit of our visit and felt so at home. It's also in the perfect location: close enough to downtown Newport that everything is very accessible and it's also in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood for a good night's rest. But wait--there's more! Kristin was by far one of the most proactive, friendly, and helpful host I've ever experienced with Airbnb! I highly recommend this listing!

The hosts Marybeth and Douglas were so welcoming to us and accommodated our request to check- in earlier than scheduled! They were very friendly and provided extra stuff to make our stay feel so homely and comfortable! Everyone of us (13 people) truly enjoyed our stay at their beautiful, spacious and historical home!

Galen and Clark were wonderful hosts. Galen was one of the friendliest and most responsive and accommodating hosts I've ever had with Airbnb and I've stayed at many. The house is in a beautiful setting with a gorgeous garden. It was wonderful to have a comfortable sitting area along with two lovely bedrooms for my visit there with an old friend. Also, very clean. We stayed for Folkfest. Close to the ferry to Fort Adams, walkable to many restaurants and bars. Andrew was a very responsive host. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Andrew!
