The Acorn is on the southern side of Bishops Stortford, roughly 15 minute walk from town centre. There is a river behind you can stroll along, outdoor space, and the room is light and airy. Private gated parking for one vehicle. The place is secluded good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and one well-behaved furry friend (pet). Ideal for a short stay or a longer break in the lovely picturesque town of Sawbridgeworth, with railway links to London and Cambridge in 40 minutes. Trains also to Stansted Airport in 20 minutes. 10 minute walk in to Sawbridgeworth, where there are several great pubs & restaurants, and to the train station and bus stops. The beautiful river Stort is a 2 minute walk away. Nearby is Hatfield Forest, the Henry Moore foundation and Audley end house. Free parking available. NO CLEANING FEE ADDED!

There are also local High St with small supermarket, restaurants and takeaways. We are also within walking distance of Superstores and a cinema.

It is open on Thursday Friday and Saturday evenings for dinner also. There is also a local grocery store and hairdressers nearby.

Exactly as described - a lovely converted garage/outbuilding with great specs and exactly what you need. We were staying for a wedding nearby - Phil was great, super responsive and helpful. We had a lovely stay and managed to stay cool even though it was baking hot! Would definitely recommend!

I’ve often used hotel for a stay over before or after a Stansted flight but this was a perfect alternative. Pedro sent super helpful instructions and everything was very well set up. It was a very comfortable nights sleep and most welcome after some days of journeying.

Great host! Loved the placed the minute we stepped in. Decoration is beautiful and you feel right at home here. Spacious and cosy at the same time. Lovely bathroom, living area, bedroom and kitchen area. Zuzanna was very helpful and there when we needed. No complaints ☺️ Would definitely stay here again.

The villa is easy to find in a lovely little hamlet and is directly behind one of the best Indian restaurants I've visited. Everything was scrupulously clean and the fittings were of good quality. If you have a car, it's easy to park and to reach the airport and nearby towns while at the same time being peaceful and noise-free.
