Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Savegre de Aguirre

We had a life changing truly wonderful experience here. We are a family of four with boys aged 10 and 12. I can't recommend this house more highly for a couple or family. It is right in the rainforest and we saw Coati (a type of Costa Rican racoon), monkeys (we had to wait until day 10 for this treat!), a tayrah, toucans and much more. Augustin and Kendry (a husband and wife team) act as the concierge for the house and could not have been more friendly and helpful. Augustin met us very late at night near the village of Portalon and escorted us to the house. This was invaluable as we'd travelled for over 24 hours and driven 3 hours in the dark from the airport. We had a problem with the AC but Augustin resolved it within hours. We've written a ton of recommendations in the guest book so if you go look out for these. This place was perfect for us, two adults and two kids (12 and 9 yrs old). We had originally planned on staying at another place higher on the hill until we realized the road to get there was insanely steep and challenging to navigate, especially during the rainy season. Eric’s place was easy to get to, with a friendly security guard monitoring traffic into the neighborhood. The view was AMAZING, the beds were comfy and the pool was clean and refreshing. Great location for exploring other beaches and the towns of Dominical and Uvita and an easy 1.25 hr drive south to Sierpe for a mangrove boat tour (which was awesome) or to access Corcovado NP. Eric and Fabiola were wonderful and very helpful hosts. First-timer advice: if you’re renting a car, go with a smaller 4x4, we got a Hyundai Kona. Barely fits our luggage, but easy to navigate on narrow Costa Rican roads and small parking spaces.

This house is amazing! The road is quite bumpy, so be prepared. House is well setup, the open air living space is breathtaking, but be prepared for mosquitos. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Do note: they are on opposite sides of the living space, so if you have littles that aren’t comfortable being far from parents in a new place, plan on some co-sleeping. Also, on downstairs room has AC. Will be coming back here, no question.

This Airbnb was amazing with a spectacular view. The house was well organized and clean. If you’re looking for a secluded stay with beautiful scenery then look no further. I loved the floor plan of the house and how the master bedroom, master bathroom and living room all had glass doors that could open to allow guest to view the backyard, mountains, and ocean. The only thing I would like to make future guest aware of is the road to the house. If you’re renting a vehicle make sure that it is four wheel drive and be prepared to handle the terrain. All in all 10/10 stay.

Don't miss the experience of living in this house!!! Surrounded by nature, with an INCREDIBLE view that allows you to contemplate the Pacific and its BEAUTIFUL sunsets from above, even from the bathtub. Drink coconut water straight from the palm trees, enjoy the fluttering of countless varieties of butterflies, the morning song of toucans or immerse yourself in the deafening sea of cicadas. Jadeleen's house is EVERYTHING that's good!!!!

Like so many others have said, do not hesitate to book this! This destination is absolute paradise and the villa was fully equipped to make our vacation perfect. Perry, Paola and Flory are the most gracious hosts and provided a luxurious stay. Flory's breakfast is a must as well as dinner at the Supper Club. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds are very comfortable, the shampoo and conditioner provided are delightful. The beach is endless and the sunsets are magical. The pool was refreshing and the pool basketball hoop was a huge hit with our boys. We can't thank you enough for the special memories made at your villa!

We had such an incredible stay at casa blanco in hatillo. It way the perfect home away from home. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We traveled with 3 kids. 8yrs, 5yrs, and 8 months. They provided us with a crib and a high chair for the baby at no extra cost. The pool was the perfect size for our kids to play in and felt safe. The house is very secluded and felt super safe. We loved the town. We liked walking down the hill to the mini mart and getting pizza at pizza surf time. The kitchen also has AC which we weren’t expecting but we were happy to have it. The house is just a short drive to Dominical. It was a perfect stay and I highly recommend!

Our family of four, parents and two teens (16 and 14), loved it! The house and property are beautiful, lots of space indoors and out, unique decor, comfortable king-size beds, views of the ocean especially from the balcony, and an awesome swimming pool! The kitchen had extras of everything. The caretaker Nani lives on site in a separate building and was very responsive. The house is surrounded by nature and very peaceful. We saw green parrots and toucans and other birds, and many butterflies. The frogs/crickets ? are very loud in the morning and evening. We saw cows grazing on a neighbouring property. Living in nature means there are bugs (and geckos), some of them pretty big ones, and sometimes they get in the house, so be prepared! You absolutely need a 4x4 to get here; we rented an automatic Hyundai Tucson and we had to use the shiftronic manual 1st gear to get up parts of the road (which was dry) once we left the main highway. We hope to return one day, thanks Susan!

We had a great stay at this Airbnb. The spaces is beautiful and centrally located while feeling tucked away. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. We really loved watching the sunrise from the tower that overlooks the mountains down to the beach, it is worth the early alarm on vacation! Jason was super helpful and gave us great advice for navigating Manuel Antonio and avoiding common pitfalls, thank you!

What an absolutely incredible experience staying at Nathalie’s Airbnb! Waking up in the morning to the sound of jungle with the cicadas, birds chirping, and howler monkeys + the most stunning view of the jungle was unreal! I also loved swimming in the pool as the squirrel monkeys iguanas and birds hang around it was SO cool- It was one of my favorite memories from our trip to Costa Rica! It was by far my favorite place we stayed and I really appreciated the in-depth detail of instructions she laid out for us! Also there was the CUTEST dog that hung out with us at the pool all day and we will miss him so much! We truly felt at home and loved the location to town as well :)

Our stay in Manuel Antonio was nothing short of magical. Though the space was compact, it was beautifully designed and felt like a hidden gem nestled in nature. The panoramic view was absolutely stunning—easily one of the best we’ve seen. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, the hygiene standards were top-notch, and the overall vibe was serene and refreshing. An unforgettable stay at an unbeatable price!

Great place to stay to visit all that Manuel Antonio has on offer, close to restaurants, supermarkets and bus very convenient for beach and national park. Yosue was especially helpful and communicative ☺️

We stayed for two nights and we really loved our stay, located privately with great views. If we come back to Costa Rica will definitely stay again.

What a fantastic place to stay. We loved the privacy & freedom of the home & the swimming pool was great ( towels for the pool provided ) , it was our own private place for 5 wonderful nights and we loved our stay here at Russ & Ana’s. The bathrooms are clean & tastefully done , the whole apartment is very spacious and functional with everything you need. We didn’t have a car so walked to the end of the road (2/3 min walk ) & got the bus down to the beach, really easy and buses run every 10/15 mins going up & down. Molly the dog came to say hello & she is sweet. Friendly owners , beautiful setting & clean what more can I say ,, we loved it here.😊

we had a fantastic time at eco room 3. The white faced monkeys and squirrel monkeys are all over the property and we're a huge bonus to watch though the white faced ones were mischievous / not fearful of getting close to humans and will try and get in through a window or an open door and we had one come inside so stealthily to steal a banana off the kitchen counter when I turned my back! Keep the door closed and maybe the windows. The property was super clean and convenient to the bus which you can ride to the nearby national park. Don't miss the waterfall on the property (we did). We had a great time! Unforgettable stay! ☆☆☆☆☆ ♡

I booked it for some friends, who were delighted with the experience, ideal location, private and comfortable.

the property is secluded although not “remote”. It’s easy-ish to find if you follow the owner’s directions. The space is clean and large and a short drive to pretty much everything in Uvita. You can also walk to the Ballena national park in less than 10 minutes (just FYI, the whale’s tale takes about 1/2 hour from the park entrance though). The bed is firm - this is a preference thing and has nothing to do with how much we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is basic and has everything you would need to cook meals.

Perfect location between Emilio's Cafe and Hotel Mariposa. We walked to every fantastic meal we enjoyed. Loved the pool and the monkeys. Host's assistant Hector was very helpful and responsive. Thank you!!

Leonardo was friendly and responsive and made check in process a breeze. Location is a 10/10, with easy access to beach and pool area, as well as walking distance to great restaurants and a local market. Highlight of our trip was seeing a sloth hanging in the trees on the beach! Would definitely choose to stay here again.

What a great place and better host! Marcos apartment is about a 7 minute walk to the beach, restaurants, and grocery stores and an easy 15 min drive to the national park. Marco and his family had plenty of tips and recommendations for our stay. We’d be happy to stay again if we find ourselves back in Quepos!

We enjoyed our time in Uvita! The space was comfortable! Marlène was prompt in responding! The pool was fabulous after our adventures on hot days! The location was great! 15 minute casual walk to Marina Ballena National Park (The Whale’s Tail)! I would definitely stay here again when in the area!
