Small cottage with charm at Øståsen in Vikersund. 40 min walk upwards from the parking lot. Here there is simple life without electricity and water. The road up is a nice trip, a bit heavy some lots. Recommend going upstairs before dark. Remember good shoes and warm cloths. At the top, the prize awaits, flat and nice with lovely views:) Bunk bed in kitchen, sofa bed in living room. It is 17 kilometres to Rjukan, 25 kilometres to Gaustatoppen mountain and beautiful mountain areas. Beautiful views, plenty of sun. There is no running water in the cabin, but water tap just outside. Free wood for the wood stove. When there's frost and freezing temperatures, there's no water in the tap outside. Water must be collected from the host. Rowing boat is available for free. Outboard motor 1-3 days NOK 400,-

There are sheep grazing in the fields and a very special flower meadow. There is a outside seating area with a simple bbq. New bathroom with shower and toilet in the barn. Sauna can be rented for additional cost. Ps. there is no running water in the cabin, this is available few meters away, in the barn.

Familievennelig hytte helt for seg selv med utsikt og naturopplevelser rett utenfor hyttedøra. Her finner man roen og kan koble av. Hytta har strøm og fullt kjøkken. Vann blir pumpet elektronisk fra brønn til hytteveggen. Pumpe løsninger inne. Ca 250 m å gå fra parkeringsplassen til hytta. Gjester kaster søppel og vasker ut selv. Ta med sengetøy og håndklær.

Eva not say enough about this beautiful house. The location was picturesque and tranquil, we enjoyed sipping our nespresso looking at the view. There was more than enough space for two families, even though we were only three. We had a sauna every day and were lucky to have some snow. The beds were heavenly, we slept in every day. We did some skiing at Panorama Vradal right down the road. Kiki was super responsive in helping us figure things out. Her place is perfect for rest and relaxation. We will be back!!

I highly recommend Mette's place, it very spacious with everything you could want. Mette is generous, kind and always ready to help. The view from the balconies is outstanding. if you are walking, it is 20mins from the train station and 10mins is uphill. Also you are in the middle of a 3 story building, and sometimes you will hear people walking around upstairs. Neither of these worried us, I only mention this in passing. They in no detracted from our experience. 5 stars all round. Thank you Mette.

This is a great cabin next to a lake with a privat beach. The place is basic but great for a cabin. We where suprised the shower was outside and the toilet is just beside one of the bedrooms.

We were very happy with this stay and would like to come back in the future. We got to meet the host the morning after we arrived and had a really nice chat. The place was very clean and neat, and in very good condition, even if it was an old house. The house was warmed up before we arrived and it was just to move in with the pergas. Quiet and quiet place a bit out into the forest, but great views of a pretty valley. Staying at Bjørn's was a good experience.

The house is everything the photos show and more! Incredibly beautiful views that you can keep looking at. House itself is very tastefully decorated and offers everything you need. Perfect layout to stay with family or 2 couples. Both inside and outside very nice seating areas. Sauna wonderful luxury. The area is beautiful for walks (up high😊) and it is half an hour from the fantastic Kistefos museum! And then also close to Oslo, while you are totally in nature, with peace and quiet. Blessed! Trine is very attentive and always responded quickly. We would have loved to stay longer and certainly hope to come back!
