Typical dwelling partly excavated and partly built, with splendid views of the enchanted scenery of the Sassi of Matera. It is located in a pedestrian area, so it is not accessible by car, but there is a convenient paid parking lot a 2-minute walk away and free parking along the road a little further away. Close to the most important places to visit! Access to the apartments is on a comfortable ground floor but the view from the balcony of apartment number 1 is on a high floor (magic of the Sassi of Matera!)

No. 11 is located in the heart of the old town of Matera, the Sassi. The breathtaking view has been featured in several films, such as James Bond, the Passion of Christ and Ben-Hur. This historical house has stunning vaulted sandstone ceilings and rooms decorated in Scandic-Italian style. A spacious bedroom, en-suite bathroom and a small lounge area with private entrance from the street. A fantastic location but not for the faint hearted, lots of steps, but it's worth it. Bring your sneakers !

The apartment, located in the upper part of the Rioni Sassi, has a separate entrance with some steps and is equipped with two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with bathtub and the other with shower), a living room with flat-screen TV and sofa bed, the masonry kitchen with majolica tiles, a laundry room with washing machine, a terrace from which you can admire a breathtaking view. From the house you can easily walk to the main historical and artistic attractions of the city.

Typical house in the heart of the Sassi di Matera, overlooking Casa Noha - an ancient tuff dwelling now a FAI heritage site - and bordering MUSMA, Museum of Contemporary Sculpture. Located in the "Civita", a short walk from the Cathedral, you can easily walk to the main squares and churches of the historic center, such as Piazza S. Francesco, Church of San Pietro Caveoso, Piazzetta Pascoli and Piazza V. Veneto. Limited traffic zone, but with paid parking nearby.

A cobblestone pathway extends through a tranquil neighborhood, flanked by charming limestone walls. Flowering plants in brown planters add color to the scene, while a distant view of a historic tower is visible, enhancing the area’s rustic character.

Featuring an independent entrance in a typical neighborhood of the Sasso Barisano, the apartment offers the opportunity to stay in the beautiful city enjoying breathtaking panoramic views and proximity to existing points of interest and art. It will be pleasant to live and enjoy the prehistoric magic of the stones without giving up the comfort of our times.
