The sea and the mountains are so close to you. Nature at its best. This site shows what the typical shelter of the ancient shepherds here on Madeira Island called Palheiro was like. Its function was to be the shelter for the shepherd/farmer to put the animals and store the products taken from the land and their food, such as cattle and goats.
