La baita è posizionata al centro di oltre un ettaro di terreno nel Parco Nazionale d'Aspromonte, completamente recintato, dedicato a frutteto. La spiaggia di Melito PS dista 40 minuti in auto. Si possono fare lunghe passeggiate, percorsi di escursionismo con guide locali, ci si può rilassare su dondoli e amache sotto splendidi ciliegi, meli e castagni secolari. A due km si trova un buon ristorante con prodotti genuini ed ottimi prezzi. Niente internet, solo la natura e voi ed il cielo stellato.
