Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Sanilac County

Our stay at this beautiful home exceeded all expectations. The house was impeccably maintained, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The listing pictures simply do not do it justice—the views are breathtaking, especially the stunning sunrise over the serene lake. The peaceful environment, with its shady trees and calming surroundings, made for a perfect retreat. Our group consisted of two families with four young children, and the host thoughtfully provided everything we could possibly need, including floaties, beach toys, and chairs. It was an absolutely perfect stay, and we cannot wait to book our next visit!

Cozy place for a holiday getaway. Close drive to restaurants and town of Lexington. The lake was beautiful and stars at night were very visible, a huge plus for us during the evenings to use the telescope we brought along for the trip.

Michael’s place was absolutely incredible. The view of the lake from the living room alone made the whole trip feel special — it’s just stunning. I’ve been staying in Airbnbs for over 10 years now, and I can confidently say this place had the best bathrooms I’ve ever seen in any rental. Michael really went above and beyond with the entire setup. The kitchen was stocked with literally everything you could need — and then some. Blender, toaster, s’mores maker, wine/beer/water glasses, every size plate, pots, pans, aprons… you name it, it was there. It made cooking and hanging out feel really easy and fun. The raised porch gave us an even better view of the lake, and the LoveSac sofa was next-level comfortable. Oh — and yes, there’s a TV in the bathroom. That plus the amazing bathtubs made for some pretty relaxing evenings. The king-sized bed was also super comfortable.

We loved our stay! The beach house is cute, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. It was the perfect spot to celebrate our 10-year anniversary and Father’s Day. The kids had a great time, and we made such special memories together. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Jana’s place was perfect for a cozy girls getaway, it’s at the end of a short road where we could walk to the beach. Too bad the weather was cold, we talked about staying in and drinking wine with the fireplace on. We all had trouble figuring it out, but Jana immediately responded with updated instructions and was even ready to send her daughter out to help us within 1/2 hour. We went out in downtown Saturday night and there was so much to do. Great food, live music and so so so many friendly people. It was about a 8-10 minute drive to town so we quickly went back and did more shopping before leaving Lexington on Sunday. We LOVED Jana’s beach house and hope to stay there again.

Andrew‘s place was exactly what we needed. His check-in process was easy to understand. He was gracious enough to give us his golf cart to use to drive around the small downtown area. I called him before check-in and asked them for some suggestions on some restaurants/local things to do, he was very insightful. The area is great where there are many water based and land based activities. Highly recommend this home, especially with the hot tub as an added amenity.

My mom and I decided to do last minute girls weekend. Ben’s place was perfect. It is quick drive to down town Lexington. I loved walking to the beaches/parks in the neighborhood! Was able to catch the most beautiful sunrise!

Cute place with easy access to the water! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, full working kitchen, toasty in the winter, plenty of space.

This is a great place to stay. It's close to everything in town, and the picture represents the property well. Mark was easy to reach and is local. I would use this property again.

Beautiful place in the heart of the charming town of Lexington. The beach and harbor are within walking distance as are shops and restaurants. Suite is above a theater so if there's a show going on, you will hear everything but show usually wraps up by 10 pm.

The Hen House is the perfect place to host family or friends for a little getaway. When I arrived, the space was even better than the photos and very spacious. The location is right in downtown Lexington with lots to do, including restaurants with live music, the beach, coffee shops, bars, and cute shops selling local goods/crafts. There are a couple things that did bum me out, including a few outlets not working in the bathrooms, and the parkinglot not being cleared from snow— stairs VERY slippery— but those are not simple fixes for some airbnb hosts and I get it!! There was a shovel and ice salt supplied 👌🏻 Everything else was perfect and more than enough for what we were looking for.

This is the favorite AirBnB we've stayed at, extremely comfortable, thoughtfully and carefully organized, and very clean. That's why we've returned for a second time this year!

The apartment was just what we needed for our weekend away. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to visit. We enjoyed walking down to the pier. Having Lexington Coffee Co directly below was great to just run downstairs grab a cup and be on with our day. Mark's space was exactly as described including the parking. The bathroom is a bit small but we were just there to sleep and keep our stuff so it did not bother us. The bed was really comfortable. We also enjoyed having the patio furniture to hang out on outside when we had downtime.

We recently stayed in a loft apartment in Lexington, MI to celebrate our anniversary. While the loft’s couch was broken and the PIN door lock consistently failed, the owner’s agent went above and beyond to make things right. On day two, they upgraded us to a beautiful multi-bedroom, multi-bath home overlooking the marina on Lake Huron — it was perfect for a large family reunion, and it made our anniversary trip feel even more special. The new house was spacious, clean, and had an amazing backyard view of the water. Despite the initial issues, the quick response and the upgrade truly exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend! I am certain the couch has been replaced and the door lock issue is resolved. Give it a go! The price is right and the location is awesome.

What a wonderful place to stay! Susanna has a beautiful and ultra tidy property located perfectly on the bank overlooking Lake Huron. Susanna has specific expectations but they’re all very clearly noted/communicated so there are no surprises. We had a few questions while there and she was prompt and courteous to return our call and assist. We enjoyed limited WiFi as our goal was to “get away” so don’t expect to sit and surf the web here—spotty WiFi is an issue all over the area and not just at this charming home. Would definitely return.
