Cottage vacation rentals in Sandy Hook

Firefly is an unbelievable view out into the Daniel Boone National Forest. The bunk rooms had plenty of space for all to sleep and the amenities were fabulous. The back multi level porch was great for social gathering as well as turning your brain off in the morning and just enjoying the sounds emanating from the hills. Harry and Jill were very responsive to our messages and provided great insight into taking the right roads to get to Firefly! Looking forward to our next visit!

I stayed here with my 3 boys aged 10,9,8 years old with my pup in training and service pup for 4 nights and 3 days. We were visiting family for my brothers Memorial Day services at his resting place. I came there exhausted from Oak Grove KY the day my boys got out of school for summer break. I left there with energy and a new kind of love. I was looking for a place just like this one to get my my mind away from the stress and the city , I needed piece of my mind and here I found just that . Away from all the chaos of life . I will definitely come back here to get my mind reset .

This was a great place to stay with plenty of room with 3 kids under 6. We were there to go on hikes and were able to get to several trails all within 20-25 minutes from the cottage.

I had nothing but an amazing time with my family here! it was great! we had a pool table, a arcade system, TV, and an amazing hottub! House was clean as heck! it was a perfect stay for my family and I and was close to my family that I was helping! Definitely recommend coming here! it's not a bad drive at all. high recommendation!

Very quiet and rustic. Convenient for Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park hiking which is what we were there for. If you get to the State Park resort the tavern has good beer and excellent Bourbon flights after your hike.

Wonderful, wonderful host. I was in West Virginia to scatter my amazing Mom's ashes, and this space had plenty of room for family to gather, remember, mourn, and laugh about our shared love for my Mom. Thanks, Talisha - you provided a beautiful, peaceful spot for a very, very difficult time.

This is the second time we stayed at this location and it was great. the house feels very homey and it is close to lots of hiking trails.

We have stayed here several times and each time it’s great and feels like home the minute you walk in. We find it hard to leave. Very comfortable beds and furniture and everything you need is there. We know we will definitely return. Also being pet friendly makes it that much better. Rates are very reasonable. We like to go spend the day hiking RRG or go to see the free roaming horses off of 476 on Flint Ridge. It’s nice to relax and enjoy.

Kitchie Kottage was very clean and comfortable. Attention to detail was very obvious. Anthony was a great host. Easy to reach and very helpful. He enjoys what he does and it shows. Definitely will book again.

Lisa’s place was the perfect location for our girls’ weekend. The location was beautiful and private, and the house was super comfortable with absolutely anything needed for the stay. Lisa was onsite and incredibly friendly. She gave us some tips on things to do. She also made sure we were equipped in case we lost power due to the storms that swept through the area. I definitely have her place on my “go again” list for the future. An absolutely perfect time!

Very cute home with all the furnishings! The view outside was beautiful and we loved the rural feel. This place really made our stay at the Red River Gorge very relaxing after a long day of hiking.

Cindy is a great host. Have stayed at her place several times over the years and have always had a great experience. Responsive and helpful when needed for assistance or questions about the property. Cindy and Matt are integrated into the climbing community in the gorge, which we value as fellow climbers.

The stay was very peaceful and comfortable to enjoy and will be coming back to enjoy it again thank you Sharon for a great stay at your cabin love it

Clean and comfortable, we were here for the Hatfield and McCoy Trails and it was convenient to trailhead 15 &14 also 11&12
