The bathroom is simple and small, but very nice and clean and all amenities you would need. The Studio apartment reflects my home, which is full of color and Mexican art/ folk art. It's not new or modern. Built in 1953, a Ranch House style. It's unique and full of life!

Reasonable price for a last minute place to stay when the water went out at my own house. Be sure to put in the address given for GPS and not the street address. House was clean. A bit tricky stepping down onto the first step from the loft onto the ladder. House rocked a bit when someone walked around, but not a big issue. Very easy check-in. Happy with the stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The space is beautifully curated with charming vintage furniture and decor—every corner felt thoughtfully designed. We especially loved the cozy fireplace and the stunning view. At night, it gets peacefully quiet, with the sound of frogs adding to the atmosphere. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus and made for a perfect way to wind down. While the stay is on the pricier side, and guests are expected to tidy everything up clean dishes and take out the trash at this price point, we didn’t mind too much. it was worth it for a nice experience.

I couldn’t imagine a better stay for our anniversary ! An absolute gem tucked away in the mountains. Private, comfy, and quiet. Be prepared to share your space with some critters; we had a few spiders over the week we were there, but you have to expect that in the area and they were easily transported outside. Jenny was a super a responsive host and helped us with all our questions and requests. Somerset Cottage is perfect for anyone looking to get away from it all for a few days. 10/10 !!!

Alec’s home is absolutely beautiful. This is the best place I have ever stayed in. My family and I felt safe and protected with the security cameras. The property and neighborhood is extremely stunning. I love how the place was surrounded by plants and trees. The place was immaculate. The bedrooms and the mattresses were so comfortable, my children slept peacefully every night. The water system felt amazing on my skin and the drinking water tasted so fresh and pure. Alec and his family are extremely kind for sharing their place with us. We appreciate his hospitality and kindness very much. When I move back to San Diego I will definitely purchase a home in San Marcos. The neighborhood definitely gave me a breath of fresh air and peace of mind. Thank you again Alec!

Our stay was so beautiful. Marie and Allen were great hosts and very proactive in reaching out to see if we needed anything. Their chickens were so adorable and would always greet us in the morning. We even got some eggs in the fridge! Overall I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at the Bluebird Cottage.
