Vacation rentals with a kayak in San Juan Islands

Lily’s place is a sweet nature oasis hidden away in the middle of a busy suburban city. We enjoyed squirrels, crows, eagles, ducks and even a Blue Heron who was chillin on her dock. The front room wall (facing the lake) is all windows so clean you could walk through them if you didn’t know they were there. We had everything we could have needed and knew we could chat with Lily anytime with questions. We are hoping to come back and enjoy the deck more next time (it rained during our visit.) Great Deal! 💕

We enjoyed our stay it was perfect for visiting our son in the Navy. Property was clean and comfortable. We were able to Spend time sitting outside relaxing and visiting. Loved the Note Welcoming us.

Well furnished house in a beautiful setting. Access to the dock and lake makes this a great vacation choice. Communication with owner was great. Owner is very respectful of guest privacy.

We had a great time at Anna's house and immediately felt right at home. It had everything we needed. It felt perfectly secluded and private in spite of the neighborhood being relatively dense. The view of the lake was beautiful. We appreciated the house's proximity to Bellingham and the area's sprawling mountain bike trails. Grateful for our time there!

The whole family was impressed with the location. It was simply beautiful, with the ocean only a few steps away from the back door. We saw eagles almost every day while we relaxed on the patio, and being from the midwest we all got a kick from observing the tide come in and out. It was also a great location as a home base to drive around and see the sights. The house is about an hour north of Seattle, an easy drive. We also took a day trip to Vancouver, which was one of the nicest cities we've ever visited. The house itself was clean and had everything you might need. Even the mattress was a pleasant surprise, my bad back never bothered me, which is unusual when I travel. Highlights included a wonderful whale watching excursion we took from a town called Anacortes, about 40 mins north of the house. We followed a pod of Orcas for about an hour and a half and had a blast. I also recommend the Flying Heritage and Combat Armor museum in Everett. It has an amazing collection.

We loved the space. Great views. Windows for days. We even measured some spaces in the house to incorporate into our home build. It’s not a large home but it feels so spacious with all the natural light. Truly feels like home. It’s not a cheap rental but the value is all there. We would love to return sometime! Zero complaints and I’d highly recommend the stay for anyone looking to visit the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was the perfect, peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful location. We saw all kids on wildlife but our highlight was seeing a pod of minke whales from the deck! We saw sea lions, bald eagles, deer, bunnies, and lots of crabs! Would come back in a heartbeat!

We feel very lucky and blessed that we were able to find this place and spend our few days there. I only wish we could’ve stayed longer! It was absolutely beautiful!

Absolutely beautiful location and very close to Olympic National Park hiking, lakes, and amenities. It was so nice to come back after a long day of hiking to then dip into the lake and paddle board to relax. The cabin in small, as listed, but functional for a couple. All meals were cooked in the kitchen or on the gas grill outside. We had a small issue the first evening but Bonnie was super responsive. I would return to this cabin on my next trip to the park.

Good cozy place. Very convenient for our shrimping week with the dock and location. Our buddies booked their other place right below and we had a great time.

We were lucky enough to spend the whole month of May in this little slice of paradise! For a small place, very well equipped and comfortable! You cannot beat the location and being just steps from the water. A time we will always cherish! Thank you!!

We had a lovely stay at Cassandra and Eric's cottage. The space is cozy and bright. The location is very private and tranquil, well off the highway with numerous hikes close by. The view is truly the highlight. We were riveted by the nearby eagle activity! The beds are extremely comfortable and everyone slept well. Highly recommended!

Perfect location for a trip to the Olympic National Park! It was peaceful and has a beautiful view. Would love to come back and stay again :)

We loved our stay! The deep sea / blue theme was so welcoming, and the location right on the shore was beautiful. Lots of birds and eagles and cute animals on the property. I fell in love with Edgar the black cat! Margo and Sam are so kind and wonderful. Highly recommend for a single person, 2 close friends, or couple's getaway!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this cozy woodland cottage. The peaceful surroundings, and breathtaking view from the sitting area was exactly what we looked for. After long days of hiking, it was the perfect place to unwind and feel completely at home. The cottage itself was spotless, well-equipped, and felt warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Anne was incredibly friendly, informative, and made sure we felt right at home. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, nature-filled getaway. Would love to return someday!

We had such an amazing, relaxing, and peaceful stay at this little cabin on the lake. Wayne and family were all wonderful and the pups made us feel right at home. If you like lake views out everywindow, cozy fires, sitting in the hot tub as you watch the sun set, and loving on some pups then this the spot for you. It's small. It's comfortable. It's got everything you need and the hosts are lovely. We loved this spot so much we just booked our next visit. See you guys soon!

Though previous guest lost 2 canoe, the host informed me the situation. The place let us forget the pity and we really had great time.

It was fun watching the tide come in and out. The place wasn't squeaky clean, but I thought it still merited 5 stars for cleanliness. It would have been nice to have stayed longer and to have made use of the boats and firepit onsite, but we did enjoy the nicely decorated interior and the lovely deck.

Gorgeous location and house with really cool amenities quiet and fun.

This place is a true paradise on Earth. Barb was incredibly responsive and helpful. The cabin was immaculate and the setting just could not be beat. We loved taking a cold dip in the lake, enjoying the hot tub and sauna, and just sitting out on the back deck enjoying those incredible views. Already planning our next trip back and hope this place is available!

We had a great time at Lake Cavanaugh. We brought our 19ft aluminum boat to fish for a few days. The fish were active and tasted great. In our downtime we kayaked, paddle boarded, played games and scanned some of the interesting books. We appreciate the welcoming hospitality we received from Candace.

This place has a lot of charm. The lake is beautiful and the house is large and well stocked. I would stay here again.
