Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Haro Sunset House

Winding through a Madrona forest hillside on the coveted Westside of San Juan Island, Haro Sunset House greets you with sweeping views from Vancouver Island to Salt Spring Island to the North. This home is known for its stunning views from the expansive deck and with amazing wildlife viewing. The home is near San Juan County Park for beach access and the iconic Lime Kiln Light House. The owner’s home is located next door, yet separated by two garage structures, leaving a feeling of seclusion.

About two miles from the airport, Three miles from Friday Harbor center, parks, nightlife, and public transport. You’ll love our place because of the proximity to golf course, close to Town. the coziness, Quite, and rural location, and the people. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. or attending weddings.

Mid-island, this rustic cabin is perfect for any couple (or small group) shacking up in the woods. Features a full kitchen inside, outhouse, outdoor shower, fire pit, covered porch & access to pebble beach trails, making this a magical retreat. Please note that there is wi-fi at the cabin but no cell reception on the property, and many guests have mentioned that they’ve enjoyed the chance to unplug and connect with nature.

Comfortable one bedroom cottage with sun-room fully insulated and extremely wonderful . There is also a back patio with a great view overlooking the lower pasture and wetland. BBQ and comfortable outdoor furniture. On a hot day the patio offers good shade. It comfortably fits two and is centrally located. An easy 15 minute drive to most attractions. The Fox Den a whimsical Earthen Glamping Cabin

Glamping on San Juan Island. The Foxes Den is a whimsical Earthen sleeping cabin, nestled in amongst a Douglas fir forest. Fifteen minutes drive from Friday Harbor and less then a 10 minute drive from Lime Kilm state park. The cabin sleeps 2 on a comfy queen bed and features a small sitting area and access to a separate designated bath house, complete with flushing toilet and hot shower. PPROV0-17-0021

AMAZING WATERVIEW CABIN! This is the place to come during Coronavirus! It’s clean, sanitized with antibacterial wipes, private, and you can prepare your own meals. While on the ferry you can stay in your car for protection. Also, I’ve gone to a self check in policy for our protection, and provide an annotated map with directions to my favorite places and hikes.
