House vacation rentals in San José Province

Amazing place to stay! It was right off the main road in Uvita. Just down the road from the beach. It is also right across the street from a super market and pharmacy. Matched the pictures and descriptions perfectly. We had some issues come up along the way and the hosts were quick to respond and solve the situations. They also gave us a little booklet of recommendations including restaurants and things to do. I could not recommend coming here more!

Our week stay in June was one of the best experiences ever in a STR. You GetHere property managers met us at the property, showed us how to use the amenities and were responsive to any questions. The home is beyond comparison. A rough drive up ( typical for CR) but after the first few times it is easy. Quality and cleanliness of the home was unmatched. We will be back. We used the suggested massage service and had them set up on the Zen deck. Very good deep tissue massage by professionals. We saw many of the other rentals we looked at and were glad that we picked this home.

We've been fortunate to stay in some nice properties, but this easily stood out as the most amazing place we've been. The house is incredible, the concierge (Fabian) was very helpful, the (daily) cleaning staff was top notch and the views were remarkable. The place looks even better in person than the (impressive) pictures on the site. Being high up meant not only a great view of the landscape but also wildlife. We regularly saw macaws, toucans and squirrel monkeys, who jumped through the trees (one tree only 15 feet or so from the pool/deck) two evenings while we were there. It was an incredible experience all the way around.

From the moment we arrived, this home had such a beautiful, welcoming, home-y feeling. It’s located in a fantastic area—surrounded by great restaurants and plenty of things to do. The pool was warm, clean, and incredibly refreshing—perfect for relaxing after a day out. The host was amazing! She went above and beyond, offering personalized restaurant recommendations (we tried several and loved them) and sharing tons of helpful details about local excursions and activities. She even offered to help us book them! While we only had time for the 90-minute massage (which was wonderful), we could tell she really knows her stuff and is passionate about making her guests’ stay unforgettable. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing, well-located getaway with an exceptional host. We’d definitely stay again! 🌴✨

Lovely place. As someone who used to live in Atenas I can’t imagine a better place to stay and experience it. Beautiful views, great pool and porch, big bedroom, hot water, and everything is spotless. Edward is a good guy and leaves you a paper with everything you need - contacts for taxis, restaurant recommendations, etc. He knows the area well anything you need just text him. We were all so excited when we arrived. The house and the view were exactly what the photos showed. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, looking at the amazing view around us. The restaurants near us were all great. Karen the owner and Olmer the concierge were great at responding to our questions. We would definitely love to go back!!

Wow!10/10…. Beatas place has been the best place we have stayed in. Not only is the design beautiful but also extremely clean and spacious. Beata is also very detailed and reached out prior to arriving to ask if a crib is needed since I was traveling with my 1 year old, very thoughtful of her, as offer the crib and fresh blankets for baby were there as soon as we arrived. I can’t say much about the area as we were in town for a wedding and all activities were planned ahead of time, but we did appreciate the closeness of many restaurants and stores, we also got to go to the farmers market on Saturday morning which was great to see. Will definitely like to come back and do a humpback whale tour when their in season and baby is older to witness.

Truly a stunning home in a very quiet, upscale cul-de-sac community. Views were breathtaking, and the home well-equipped for lazy days without big agendas. Dominical is cute and inviting, with plenty to eat and a solid infrastructure for booking adventures of multiple varieties. Sensitive travelers might want to be advised that power and water outages are part of the realities of living in such a gorgeous, remote location. Mattresses are quite firm, with the loft bed probably best suited to a child or other floor-friendly individual. Kitchen was not particularly well-appointed, so bring oil/butter and perhaps even a favorite chef's knife if you plan to cook in. Local farmer's markets do make this an appealing option, although local restaurants were generally quite decent, even coming from NYC. Above all, this is a truly impressive holiday experience, mainly for the incredible views from all floors and the abundance of wildlife right in your own back-yard. Highly recommended.

My family and I enjoyed the place very much! It is insanely beautiful, house decor is so unique and very comfortable and friendly people! The only one thing I would say is that in the House photos looks like there’s rooms outside however those are extra cabins in the same property(reserved separately) This home is only 3 Bedrooms, each bedroom has a bathroom which is so nice!

This place is amazing! We went for our honeymoon! What an adventure. The house is up the mountain where you feel like you’re in the middle of the rainforest with lots of wildlife but it’s also convenient to grocery’s restaurants and shopping. We simply did not want to leave! The indoor outdoor shower is private for those who don’t want to be seen but also giving that showering outside feeling with the sounds of the wildlife and rain. House was immaculate and host was very generous with recommendations. Tv internet air conditioning hot water and a backup system in the event power goes out. Amazing stay! Want to come again

Excellent host, and one of the best equipped homes we have stayed in!! Very well decorated and sure made you feel the luxury component that this place offers. Directly around the corner from the unit is common area with conference rooms , gym, and an elegant lap pool backed by a forested setting! Highly recommended option!!

Words truly can’t express how amazing my 25th birthday trip was, and so much of that was thanks to our incredible host. From the very beginning, he was beyond helpful and responsive. He assisted us with planning our excursions and personally arranged all of our transportation—whether it was for activities, food runs, or grocery shopping. He even recommended amazing local restaurants that we loved. One night, my friends and I were up late and starving, and without hesitation, he DoorDashed us food—something we’ll never forget! When we lost a key, he arrived within five minutes with a replacement. His level of care and attentiveness was unmatched. The home itself was spotless, the pool was beautiful, and all amenities worked perfectly. I also hired a private chef on the first night, and the setup was seamless. the host surprised me with birthday decorations and a cake, which made me feel truly celebrated. It is hard to describe the beauty of this house. We were absolutely stunned. Each morning was a gift to walk outside to that view. We were so glad that this was the end of our trip and we had built in some R&R. A word of advice… don’t plan so much that you don’t have time to enjoy the house. We used the pool, sat outside and watched the clouds come in, grilled some wonderful steak and just enjoyed la pura vida!

This airbnb mountain home exceeded all expectations with its breathtaking views and cozy, beautiful interior. We all had a relaxing time...the fireplace and fantastic jacuzzi made for a truly unforgettable stay. On top of that, Maria Laura was incredibly responsive, kind, and welcoming, even providing us with coffee and delicious homemade tortillas! 10/10 we hope to be back soon!

Excellent place to get out of the routine and noise of the city. Very comfortable and conveniently located place. With a river nearby that can be heard from the accommodation, which gives a freshness and absolute tranquility. A place to not only go once but to repeat.

This home was beautiful, and the view unmatched! Oscar was so responsive and helpful with our very many requests. He gave local recommendations and booked anything we needed, even on short notice. It felt like our home away from home. We would definitely stay at this house again when we are back in town.

Our family stayed for ten nights as a home base to explore the Pacific side of Costa Rica. The pool was fantastic! I especially enjoyed the bottom pool that doubles as hot tub (when my kids weren't in the upper half splashing the cold water into it). The pool is very large with lots of space for splashing, and there is so much wildlife and bird-watching off of the amazing porch and decks. We were mesmerized by the scarlet macaws that flew by and sometimes roosted nearby. Being in the mountains, you are literally in the clouds. It was other-worldly when they rolled in most afternoons. So cool! Indoors: we utilized the kitchen quite frequently, making dinner every night. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies for cooking. The living area was very comfortable and great for watching TV together in the evening. Bathrooms and bedrooms were well-appointed with what we needed, and the washer/dryer was great to have, as we are light packers and did get muddy some days. Overall a wonderful stay!

I cannot say enough about this place! If you are looking for a peaceful escape, this is the place. The pictures don’t do it justice. It is amazing and would not hesitate to book here again. I will absolutely miss mornings on the deck watching the sun come up and listening to the river trickle by. The hosts were great and really helped with recommendations. Seriously. Book this gorgeous place. Only note for folks considering this location - the two bedrooms are on the lower level with separate outside entryways. Was great for us but may not work for everyone.

Absolutely stunning! The photos don’t do it justice. Isabel was an amazing host. She took her time to show us around the house and give us amazing recommendations for white water rafting and a chef to come to the house. I can’t wait to come back.
