Vacation rentals with a hot tub in San José Province

We stayed only one night prior to our flight. Despite being close to the city/airport, it felt very private and was relatively quiet. The view was great, and we walked to a restaurant down the street for dinner. Beds were very comfortable. Stephen’s team was super responsive and went above and beyond.

Absolutely perfect. One of the best airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. And the best host experience as well with Marianna. I kept saying the whole stay “this is my dream house!” Perfect for families. Our kids spent hours in the pool every day we were there. We hope to be back soon!

This home was beautiful, and the view unmatched! Oscar was so responsive and helpful with our very many requests. He gave local recommendations and booked anything we needed, even on short notice. It felt like our home away from home. We would definitely stay at this house again when we are back in town.

We hebben een geweldige tijd gehad. Het huis is prachtig en van alles voorzien wat je maar nodig hebt. Het was heerlijk om van de natuur te genieten vanaf het terras, het uitzicht was fenomenaal. Het is waar dat je een 4x4 nodig hebt om er te komen maar dat zorgt er ook voor dat eenmaal aangekomen je kunt genieten van absolute privacy en rust!

A absolute privilege to spend a few days here as a family. A gem of a house that felt immediately like a home. We loved the quirks and the passion for enjoyment. Top of our price range but to us it was worth every penny. Thank you Tucker.

For a vacation of a lifetime book this beautiful home - it's OUTSTANDING. The whole experience is 5 star. The home is incredible - the wildlife you see is unbelievable - monkeys Toucans huge butterflies Humming birds the list is endless. Andrea the wonderful housekeeper keeps the house immaculate, the gardener picked us fruit and the maintenance is first class. The BEST concierge we have ever had Susan was like having a PA and made our vacation seamless. Scott was very welcoming (your house is off the chart) and we had everything provided to make this a holiday of a lifetime. If you visit the National Park get a guide - or you will see very little they have telescopes that makes the experience. Chef Renzo and Roberto - Michelin * level. Best meal of our vacation - we could not thank them enough - every dish was melt in your mouth delicious. Any food left in the fridge is donated (this filled my heart) This house captures Costa Rica's Pura Vida 100%. Thank you to the whole team .

Jenn and Danny have created an incredibly tranquil, relaxing, and private experience with this property - I cannot recommend it enough. The bungalow itself is modern, clean, well-designed, and overall a comfortable stay for multiple days. The outdoor area is the true stand out - we had an abundance of amenities to enjoy, from the pool to the rustic hot tub to the hiking trails ending in gorgeous rainforest and mountain views. The property is well-maintained by the staff, and the greenery is breathtaking and full of color (the pictures don’t do it justice!). Jenn and Danny were incredibly responsive and proactive in their communication, and even stayed up to ensure we checked in okay after a late flight. The bungalow is a ways off of the main road, so be sure to download maps for offline use and take it slow on the bumpy roads, but the drive itself is beautiful and a unique experience in itself. We truly enjoyed every part of our stay, and cannot wait to return! Thanks again!!

The most amazing view we got to see in Costa Rica, over lush mountains all the way to the Pacific Ocean!!! The accommodation was exactly as pictured, very new and super clean. The pool areas is very pleasant and the hosts were extremely friendly!

The property was unbelievable. The house, the pool, the views… wow! The kids literally lived in the pool. The area itself is off the beaten track in the best possible way—surrounded by lush, untouched rainforest with scarlet macaws flying overhead daily. You’re a short drive from the ocean and crocodile tours on the Tárcoles River, yet far removed from the crowds. It felt like we were seeing the real Costa Rica. There are some great, low-key food spots nearby, and the overall vibe was so much more authentic and grounded than the overly touristy feel we got in Monteverde. One of the highlights was the intimate dinner prepared by Cecelia—homemade, delicious, and shared like you were part of the family. This place and these hosts made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. We’re already talking about coming back

Where do I possibly start my summation of this paradise? I'm writing this now while on the plane home. Reliving my experience at Chris & Kristen's propery gives me a smile on my face even when I must return home. The personal touch stood out in a magnificent way. The knowledge of the country, the region, the local places. I felt like I was the only person on their property to care for during my stay. After a rain storm, late at night... I was treated to a tour when the vegetation was at its glory. The sounds, scenery, plant life, and different species of life were amazing. The carefully planned out grounds are a treasure... And constantly being upgraded and cared for everyday. The Villa was awesome. Had everything needed. Beautifully air conditioned, and kept. Bed comfortable, great size refrigerator, and perfectly configured stove. The view from my Villa was incredible, to say the least. My new friends will see me again. Their striving for my comfort was unmatched! TY

I booked this listing for a group of 8 women. We all needed time to get away from our busy lives in the U.S. The six nights at La Sombra were peaceful and inspiring! What a beautiful location and beautiful grounds. We were all stunned by the property, in a good way:) It was even better than the beautiful pictures provided. Each villa was appointed beautifully with quality linens, towels, robes, bath soaps, dishes, etc. We especially enjoyed the patio views and the design of the structures that incorporate natural light and the surrounding nature. We ate dinner each night on the patio of the main house, and found a spot for morning meditations on the bridge. Catherine and Ryan were available and responsive before, during and after our visit. And, I cannot say enough about the local cook, Marta. We all wanted to take her home with us! What a treat:) Thank you for sharing your home with us, Catherine and Ryan!

Our stay at Casa Nueva Vida was exceptional in every way. An amazing property in a beautiful part of Costa Rica. From our initial inquiry, until we said good bye with "Pura Vida!", our family of seven thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay. Pablo's team, headed by our extraordinary concierge, Mefi, was terrific; Mefi was always just a text away and was responsive to our every request. His goal was clearly to make our stay unforgettable -- and he did that! A nice added service was laundry done by our housekeeper, Judith, who also took good care of us. The property is stunning. Plenty of room (indoors and out) for us all, a terrific pool/hot tub with breathtaking sunsets, gorgeous landscaping, and regular visits from white-faced and squirrel monkeys, scarlett macaws and toucans. The monkeys were great entertainment! The villa was a short drive to both Quepos and Manuel Antonio, so well located for excursions. We simply loved our stay. We will be back! What a beautiful home! This place is equipped, detailed, clean, comfortable and maintained. The views are endless. The nights are gorgeous. We spent the majority of our time on the back patio and in the pool. The outdoor shower was amazing. Francisco, the caretaker, was also just so fabulous. He was so helpful and just precious. It was just myself and my best friend, two females, and we felt very safe. They had very comfortable beds, sheets, pillows, towels, linens in general. My best friend and I felt right at home. Probably one of the most comfortable well equipped homes that I’ve stayed in. Definitely the cleanest. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. Looking forward to the air-conditioning in the upper bedrooms!

Los Cimarrones es el lugar perfecto para tomar un descanso de la velocidad de la vida. El lugar es hermoso y la naturaleza extraordinariamente hermosa. Lo aconsejo a todos.

We loved this cute cabin in the middle of the national park! The access to the beach and trail to the park was wonderful! We found a nearby delicious restaurant, el hornito, for empanadas and pizza! The hosts were very friendly and communicated well. We would highly recommend this stay!

El entorno natural es espectacular, con vistas increíbles a las montañas.
