Conveniently located just 30 minutes from downtown Omaha, as well as within a quick drive to numerous state parks. There is even an external electrical hook up for campers. Finally, our grain bin includes 20 acres of the Loess Hills to explore. We recommend hiking to the top of the ridge for sunset. It's breath taking.

Sorry, no children under the age of 12. This large grain bin has been converted into a rustic two story getaway using reclaimed barn wood and many antiques. The 700 square foot main floor includes a full bath, a vintage retro kitchenette (micro wave, toaster, coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, NO OVEN), reclining love seat, a smart tv with WIFI and Direct TV, along with a large dining area with 2 tables. The 500 square foot open loft area includes one full bed and 2 queen beds.

The house was close to everything. Easy to get to. It was nice and spacious for us. The beds were nice and comfortable especially after our 18 hour drive.

I grew up in the area and came back for a neighboring-town alumni reunion, so I didn’t need a lot of local activity recommendations. But Melanie was very friendly and open with her communication ahead of time. The check in was super simple, and so was the checkout. Soldier is a really small town and was very peaceful. The Loess Hills and surrounding farmland are beautiful. The house has been nicely redone and the furnishings were nice and new. I’d definitely stay again!
