The mill house

At the heart of the Charente vineyards, old mill of the late 18th century completely renovated with heated pool and jacuzzi. Quiet on the edge of a small village, by the river and only 4 km from Pons, near Cognac, Bordeaux, Royan, La Rochelle ... All rooms are equipped with storage, queen size beds, televisions. Satin sheets and towels are provided. The fully equipped kitchen with 2 fridges, 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens and a large cooking piano. Fiber internet connection.

We rent part of the renovated cottage located in Machennes (17800), just 500 m from the highway toll, 1 hour from the cities of BORDEAUX and LA ROCHELLE, 25 min from the first beaches and the city of COGNAC. You'll love this unique and romantic getaway. Built around 1880 on the site of an old 18th century mill, the Magimar Tower is neo-medieval in inspiration. Built in cut stone, it includes a basement converted into a bathroom, a ground floor equipped for breakfast, a bedroom floor with vault and a panoramic terrace with a view (360°) of the Gironde estuary. The building is flanked to the northwest by a watchtower that houses a spiral staircase.

The mill is located on a wine estate, 15 to 30 minutes from the classified grand crus of St Estèphe, Pauillac, Margaux Close to the ocean beaches of Hourtin, Montalivet, Soulac (25 to 40 minutes) Bordeaux is 1 hour away.
