Bega cottage is a delightful cosy cottage set in the coastal village of St Bees. A 10 minute stroll from a wide sandy beach, the English Coastal Path and start of the Wainwrights Coast to Coast walk. Our cottage is perfect for exploring historic towns and villages of the western Lake District. Hop on a train to explore surrounding areas, St Bees railway station is only a 2 minute walk away. Three cosy country pubs and a village Post office are only a stones throw away from our cottage.

It has a dog friendly beach, is great for fishing, has lots of wildlife and has the most stunning sunsets. In winter, enjoy cosy evenings with the fire lit. An ideal base for exploring the Western Lake District and Cumbrian Coast. It is surrounded by scenic walks and activities. It is close to St Bees coast to coast walk too. This makes an ideal base for the Western Lakes with great walks right from your doorstep with the C2C cycle route going through the village. The cottage offers a tranquil location with stunning views a real Home away from Home.

Toddell Barn

Toddell Barn forms part of our traditional Lakeland longhouse farm, built in approximately 1710. Toddell Barn sits within approximately 7 acres of agricultural land that helps attract a wide variety of wildlife. Toddell Barn is located in the hamlet of Brandlingill (2 miles south of Cockermouth) and is within the northern boundary of The Lake District National Park, categorised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017.

Camping pod in western lakes

Our beautiful camping pod sleeps 2 adults comfortably but could sleep 3 adults or 2 plus 1 young child. Pet friendly. There is a double bed in the pod. Based on our working farm with panoramic views of local fells and Skiddaw. We have 3 camping pods all sited for guest privacy but could all be hired by friends.
