Cluculz Lake Retreat is a Northern BC vacation of your dreams. A hidden gem on quiet Cluculz Lake, only a short 40 minute drive from Prince George. Don't miss out on the opportunity to escape reality in this little piece of heaven!
This property is unique with 2 cabins renovated into one, and an additional log cabin on site. It is situated on 3 lots with privacy from neighbours and the road. Don't worry about parking, there is lots of room, both in the water and on land. The grassy playing field and badminton court / basketball in the back are perfect for non-water play time. The paved area is great for kids on bikes, and the field (although slightly sloped) can accommodate any sport or grass game, like bocce ball. Planning a mini family reunion? The property has multiple flat areas for campers or rv's. We can also suggest a couple options for talented local photographers, should you wish to capture the family all together.
Cluculz Lake is an incredibly beautiful destination in Northern BC. The lake is just the right amount of quiet and caters to all needs, from fishing to water sports, kayaking, swimming, hiking, resting and relaxing. For fishing enthusiasts, the lake is home to a variety of fish species, including Rainbow Trout, Sockeye Salmon (Kokanee), Lake Trout (Char), Ptychocheilus (Pikeminnows or Squawfish), Freshwater Whitefish (Whitefish), and Lingcod. You won't be cold swimming in the calm lake either, as it often reaches a surface temperature between 24 and 27 degrees celsius.
  • Great place for a family gathering! Fully stocked kitchen. Spacious, homey.

  • We had a fantastic week at Dana’s lake house. It was extraordinary well equipped for families with games, lake toys and sport equipment. The kitchen was spacious and the sitting area great, the decks were fabulous. Dana told us that the house has been in their family for over 60 years, so it is older and has its quirks. There is also the cleanest and most beautiful outhouse any of us had ever seen! Dana was a very responsive host, and we appreciated her graciousness 🔆. We can highly recommend this cabin for its value, location and the quality of hosting.

  • If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable, family friendly place to enjoy beautiful Canada, this is the perfect place and Dana is a wonderful host! I have nothing but positive things to say about our stay here. We enjoyed kayaking and swimming in the lake, fishing, late night badminton matches, water balloon fights, card and board games (my children actually enjoyed playing monopoly!). There is plenty of space for sleeping, eating, visiting and enjoying the sunsets. If you need more beds and space, talk to Dana. Being able to prepare and cook our own meals (including grill) made this trip more enjoyable and affordable. Highly recommended!!!

    Vanderhoof, BC, Canada

Centrally located, only 2-3 blocks to restaurants, museum, and parks. Private detached studio, fully furnished with all linens and towels, including kitchenette. Comfy king bed, internet, private patio, south facing, parking, laundry.
The little wood loft is a charming sunny space. It is warmly decorated with classic vintage, rustic and older furniture, except for the bed. The bed is super comfortable, soft, but firm. The space incorporates the entire upper floor (approx 400 sq ft) of the cottage and offers a kitchenette with a full size fridge, a sitting area by a south facing window with a nice view of the west end of town, a private 6' x 12' south facing, covered deck, and a full bath with an old claw-foot tub and shower.
It is the nicest neighbourhood in town. It is an older part of town and a short 5 min walk to downtown for shopping and restaurants, only 5 min walk to the museum and to any of the three parks in town. The beautiful nature trail entrance is just across the road from our back lane. Vanderhoof offers fishing, hunting, horseback and wilderness activities, cross country ski trails, hiking trails, lakes, the Nechako River. It is also a town for horse lovers. It is a little piece of Alberta right in the middle of BC. The main industry is farming, logging/sawmills and mining.
  • This is such a charming place, filled with thoughtful and eclectic touches. Especially loved the writing table turned into a bathroom sink. And the bed! Slept soundly for eight straight hours. Amazing. Marcia is an extremely thoughtful host, she even buys expensive handmade soap at the local farmers market. Who else does that?

  • Marcia was a very gracious host. She picked fresh peas, raspberries, and zucchini that we enjoyed. The apartment was artistically appointed, and spotless. We had a wonderful walk in the wetlands by the river, and enjoyed sitting on the porch overlooking her backyard gardens and flowers.

  • Especially in the summer, as soon as you step out of the car you are greeted with the smell of Marcia's lovely garden. Step into the space and you will notice that familiar smell of an old wood home. Relax. Take advantage of the soaker tub. I was made to feel at home right away. Marcia even gave me some fresh carrots picked that morning. In terms of privacy, this is a loft but there is nobody living below so you are fully detached from the house.

  • Highly recommended as a quaint yet luxurious place to relax ! Spotless!

  • Marcia's place is amazing. It is much bigger than the pictures imply and is incredibly comfortably appointed with wonderful art and little touches everywhere. Frankly I could stay in this studio apartment for an extended time quite easily. Comfortable, cool, beautiful, and she even provided us with fresh strawberries from her beautiful garden. Heaven!

  • Great accommodation once again. Cute, cozy, warm, very clean and great coffee! Thanks again Marcia!

  • It is a charming space with beautiful touches- the claw foot tub, comfy bed and era furniture. It was nice having a fridge and little kitchen area. The train can be a bit noisy but I didn't notice it after 10:30. Overall really enjoyed my stay and am looking forward to being back and seeing Marcia's garden in bloom!

  • I stayed in the cosy loft while visiting my son who was having surgery. Marcia was a gracious host, very welcoming and the space is absolutely idyllic and inviting. The amenities are wonderful, the clawfoot tub was especially decadent. The trains do come through close by, however, I didn’t find them too obtrusive. This would be the perfect place for a weekend getaway or to stay during business. I certainly hope to be back.

  • Marcia is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had the upper room and were just ecstatic. Super clean and romantically furnished with antiquarian furniture. Of course, modern devices are not missing.

  • My husband and I had a lovely stay at Marcia’s. We stayed in the large room upstairs which was tastefully furnished and spent an enjoyable evening sitting on the verandah. I highly recommend staying at Marcia’s.
