  • Jasmine cottage is situated in a quiet but central area of a lovely Devon village. We found the cottage in a converted barn warm and welcoming on arrival. Very well designed layout with an open plan living dining kitchen area and 2 ensuite bedrooms arranged on each side. The cottage was spotless, beds comfortable and linens and towels high quality. Lovely walks around the village and Church inn does an amazing Sunday roast. Really recommend its location.

  • The cottage was a great place for relaxing at February half term and exploring Paignton and Brixham. Just enough for us 2 adults and 11 year old and 2 bathrooms was a luxury. Shower was great and whole house was warm and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped and we had breakfast at home. 2 pubs within walking distance. Good choice of board games our son enjoyed. Internet connection was good. I’m sure in the summer with more crowd the narrow roads could be a problem. Also parking is tight so smaller car would be better. Would recommend Rockfish in Brixham for seafood. All in all it was a great experience

  • We cannot fault swallows barn! Lucy has thought of everything - it was such a special place to stay and she was full of recommendations of great restaurants and walks to do locally. We are definitely coming back as we didn’t have nearly long enough to do all the wonderful things the area has to offer. The weather was dreadful but swallows barn was the cosiest place to squirrel away. We now want to come back in the summer. Wholeheartedly recommend.

We were met by a lovely man with some umbrellas as it was absolutely chucking it down! Much appreciated! The bed is so comfortable we didn’t want to get up! The kitchen space is fab. Good size shower and cloakroom. Lots of little personal touches around the room. We will certainly be back! If you are looking for a base to explore the area you can’t go wrong here!

The surroundings are breath taking, especially when the sun comes out. I highly recommend staying at the upper deck for a while...you will switch your mind off, I can promise that.

  • I booked a stay at The Upper a Deck as part of a Christmas present for my Mum. Being from Devon ourselves, we were familiar with the Salcombe area - but it was nice to try somewhere more off the beaten track. The room was sparkling clean, spacious, stylish and comfortable. We had everything big we needed for our night away, including little personal touches from Lou. There are three radiators in the annexe, so don’t worry about being cold in the winter - mum and I were very toasty. There were even two hot water bottles, just in case! I’d highly recommend The Upper Deck and hopefully will be back again soon :)

    Alex2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

They certainly made use of the hot tub and said Katy was super friendly and they loved meeting the dog too! They had a lovely walk in South Milton and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Would definitely recommend and return. Thank you!

  • We had a fantastic stay and couldn't have asked for more! The house had everything we needed for eating, drinking and cooking and stayed really warm the whole time. The hot tub was perfect and made the stay extra special. Information of local things to do and shops close by was really helpful too - thank you for such a great experience!

    Rachel2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here for 2 nights with my partner and we couldn’t fault a thing. We were greeted on arrival and given tips on the best places to visit in the area, they were very friendly and welcoming. Easy to contact also, they even politely gave us some foil that we’d forgot to buy from the shop! (It’s only a 10/15 minute drive to Tesco.) The fire and the heated floor boards made everything so warm and cosy, just wish we’d booked even longer. Thanks again for such great hospitality!

    Helen2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • A peaceful and restful retreat. The local eggs available from the farm made for a tasty breakfast. Katy had left out several informative local brochures for us to taylor our stay at The Dairy, which were extremely helpful. Ending the day relaxing in the hot tub ! We would definitely stay again with Katy.

  • Amazing stay ! Clean, cozy and very stilish tree house. We will definitely be back in the summer.

  • A lovely romantic quirky getaway! Would definitely recommended to anyone thinking about booking this treehouse :)

  • Booking this weekend away was possibly the best decision myself and my partner have made! The treehouse is located within walking distance of the lovely salcombe, it is a bit hilly, but after a few gin and tonics you hardly notice the slopes! We stayed in mid February, and even with the rain and the wind, we felt incredibly warm and cosy in the beautiful treehouse (which has underfloor heating!!!). Our lovely hosts sent through a massive comprehensive list of not only great places to go for dinner, but a large list of taxi numbers and directions on how to get to and from wherever you need to go! On top of this there was a massive booklet full to the brim of great activities to get stuck into during the day! We opted in for the full cooked breakfast which was winched up to us in a hamper ready for us to cook in the morning. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Everything was so fresh and tasted amazing, and not being the smallest chap, I was impressed with the portion sizes! Worth it every time! I think we witnessed the treehouse being tested as storm Denis was still whipping the coastline during our visit, but apart from the occasional whistling wind, you would hardly notice there was a storm outside! It’s beautifully quiet and with my phone on airplane mode it was the perfect weekend to switch off. It is worth noting that the bed is incredibly comfortable, and the sheets, towels and all cooking utensils were absolutely spotless! We are both very much looking forward to our next visit (maybe in the summer next time to make the most of the lovely patio area with the fire pit!). Thanks again!

  • A lovely unique stay, great location for exploring Salcombe and the wider area. A particularly lovely touch was the option of a breakfast being winched up to the treehouse - we went for the full English and the local produce was excellent. The shower was lovely and warm, a welcoming experience after being out in wet and windy weather!

    Bryony2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful treehouse! Very clean and incredibly well equipped. The underfloor heating and electric wood burner were certainly needed to dry off clothes after a wintry walk! A 20 minute brisk walk to Salcombe along a lovely path, is an added bonus.

    Dave2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t say thank you enough for our stay. First and foremost The Treehouse and the surroundings are both absolutely gorgeous. The bed was incredibly comfy, in fact the whole place is just so warm and cosy. The shower was absolutely to die for and all the space so well designed. Freya was the perfect host, so informative and organised ahead of arrival and attentive on check in despite her own busy diary. The short walk into Salcombe is really pleasant (bring a torch!) but far enough out of the town that it is it’s own little world. I could not recommend this place enough.

  • Can't recommend the Treehouse at Salcombe Farm enough. It is so comfy and inviting and was absolutelty spotless. The decorations for Christmas were a really nice touch, loved the mistletoe hanging over the bed! Thank you so much Felicity and Freya, can't wait to come back soon.

  • Had a lovely stay at the treehouse for a birthday celebration. Wonderful woodland location but still within a short walking distance into Salcombe. The property was very well presented with lovely extra touches. Good communication, hosts very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend!

  • Anthony is a wonderful host, very friendly and incredibly hospitable. I gave a knock on the door upon arrival and was greeted with a genuinely warm welcome and made to feel very at home. The Annex was warm, clean and cosy with a comfortable bed and bedding, stylish artwork and decor Many kitchen basics were provided including tea, coffee, bread, butter and milk. There’s also a pamphlet you’ll find on arrival with great local tips and detailed house instructions. I found my stay at the Annex to be great value and would definitely recommend this place! Hope to stay again next time I’m down in the west country! :-)

  • Great little spot for a quiet weekend ( or longer! ) getaway! Perfect location close to Dartmoor and the sea that feels very homely and cosy. Anna and Anthony are super welcoming and have great tips for whatever you’re after! Hope Cove and Haytor were great, so is the pub down the road or the Church House Inn. We came in January and were lucky with the weather but will definitively return in the summer!

  • We can only confirm what everyone else is saying that this is fantastic spacious accommodation and we cannot recommend it highly enough. The Hope & Anchor in Hope Cove was shut during our stay due to flooding so we ventured into Salcombe and visited the Victoria Inn. Delicious food and pleasant surroundings

  • My partner and I stayed here for a weekend away and it was just what we needed! We were able to switch off from everything and relax, there were many places to go and explore and it’s only a short drive from the shops. The enclosed garden is great however dogs will be able to get out! We had a lovely weekend and would definitely come back!

  • We had an lovely weekend staying at Sam's place. It is very comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Despite living in Cornwall, the South Hams and East Devon are areas we hadn't visited much, but this weekend enabled us to really explore. Sam communication was excellent, informative and friendly. It's the storm season...! But with better weather / lighter evenings, we would have easily been able to walk to Hope Cove. We would definitely recommend it here.

  • Lovely quiet spot in a beautiful part of Devon only a short drive from Salcombe. The most spectacular coastal walks are easily accessible from The Lair and plenty of places to visit too. The cottage was beautifully clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The super king bed was so comfy. Sam left a lovely bunch of daffodils in the sitting room along with other nice touches. You can even buy lovely pieces of handmade pottery that are displayed in the cottage. The wifi was a bit intermittent but we did manage to connect iPhones and an iPad to the wifi. There was no mobile phone signal for our phones but that might not apply to all networks. We would definitely go back to Sam's place.

  • Had a lovely stay! Beautiful location and the house was exactly like the pictures, great comfortable space! Was able to bring my dog along too which was amazing. Note there is absolutely no signal anywhere around so grab the WiFi code before coming. Hopefully will return again!

    Iris2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Incredibly relaxing place, very peaceful and beautiful scenery. The house was very comfortable, especially the bed and sofas! Thoroughly recommended and would definitely stay again!

    Jo2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Lair is in a beautiful and rural part of Devon, yet not totally isolated. The property is well equipped, fantastically cleaned, homely and well decorated- something which is more difficult to find when looking for a place that accepts dogs too! Value for money is excellent as you get a lot of space both outside and inside all to yourself! Communication prior to our visit and check-in couldn’t have been any smoother. We were left to ourselves, yet, it was reassuring to know that help/advice was only around the corner if needed. Perfect little set up for a relaxing weekend away to switch off and explore the coasts and moorlands! Thank you.

  • We stayed at the cabin for two nights , it’s a lovely clean comfortable space. Unfortunately we didn’t get chance to use the hot tub due to the weather but think a privacy screen/fence would be useful had we used it though as the main houses window do look over the cabin. The village and area are lovely, welcoming and well worth exploring! We visited a number of local pubs for food and drinks and were pleasantly surprised by them all would definitely visit again!

    Kelly2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, homely and takes you back to nature cabin! The little valentines touch were completely unexpected and delightful! The quality of the bedding, towels and amenities were as good if not better than any good hotel. Even though storm Dennis had different ideas to what we had for the weekend, a great stay!

  • Warm and cosy, sparkly clean and comfortable, Jo and Gary made us so welcome in their fabulous place, just perfect for a weekend away. Many personal touches made a weekend away extra special. Wonderful, thank you Jo and Gary. 🥰

  • We loved the Cosy Cabin, it was perfect for our time away and the village was in an ideal location! The cabin was spotless and as the name stated, lovely and cosy for the evening time, the cabin has everything you will need for a few days. The local pub a short walk away is very friendly, where we enjoyed a few drinks however would have definitely eaten there! We would highly recommend the Cosy Cabin to anyone wanting to visit the area.

    Mike2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to escape it all then this is the place for you! Very clean and tidy with lots of thoughtful extra touches from the hosts. The cabin was nice and cosy and quiet which is exactly what we were looking for. Whilst the cabin is in close proximity to the hosts own home (in their garden) this does not impact on the cabin and it feels very private. Wonderful hosts and would highly recommend.

The barn is nestled in a small hamlet with a handful of houses and makes the perfect base for a spot of isolation. You will be hard pushed to bump into anyone. Get away and soak up our wonderful view over Devon countryside and the fresh air! We take our guests’ health seriously, ensuring every surface is cleaned with disinfectant and we use high water temperatures for all our washing. We also provide cleaning products, soap and hand wash that you can use during your stay.
Our barn is stocked with essential food items as well as an ‘honesty’ mini bar. We also provide logs for the fire, plenty of magazines, books, games, WiFi and a TV. Most guests don’t even need to see or interact with us, the hosts, but only if they wish to, at a safe distance. Our closest village, Stoke Gabriel, is still open for business with a well-stocked village shop offering free food deliveries and The River Shack on the water front of the River Dart is open for al fresco dining and take-away wood-fired pizza. There are countless green lanes, fields, paths, hills, coastal walks and valleys to traipse over with little human contact. We can provide you with a list of all the spots where you can visit. Our place nestles in the small hamlet of Aish above the village of Stoke Gabriel near Totnes. Sit in front of the wood burning stove and peer out of the double height window to the fields and the river Dart beyond. Some mornings, you’ll see our resident male pheasant strutting his stuff on the garden wall. Occasionally, you may also spot a deer or two in the orchard or fields below. We are environmentally minded and do as much as we can to help lower our impact on the planet. Please see below, and our house manual, for a list of our eco credentials. We have used high quality fixtures and fittings throughout. The king sized bed is super comfy. The sofa bed is brand new and is a pull-out version rather than one of those uncomfortable fold out ones! The kitchen has been made bespoke by a local artisan and comes equipped with everything you might need including a full size oven, microwave and a small hob. As the space is small we can't include absolutely everything but please do ask us if you need anything at all! We also leave essentials such as tea, coffee, milk, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper ready in the kitchen making it that much easier to relax the minute you arrive. The garden is adjacent to our own but has its own little terrace with a small table and chairs - as well as a BBQ. We have kept the place as uncluttered as possible to allow guests to escape the everyday. However, if there is anything you feel you need please just ask and I'm sure we can provide it! Please note that it is best to have your own transport if staying with us as Aish has no amenities. The closest shop, pubs and restaurants are in the village of Stoke Gabriel which is a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk away. We are environmentally minded and do as much as we can to help lower our impact on the planet. Here are a few of the things we do: The barn is run entirely on electricity and therefore uses no fossil fuels. We have a 4kw solar panel system on our roof that helps generate electricity for the barn. For any further electricity we use Bulb Energy, which buys all of its electricity from renewable sources. We use biodegradable bin liners and recycled loo/ kitchen rolls. We use refillable options for cleaning products and washing powders that do not come in plastic. We use entirely organic ingredients in our scones and leave you organic, local milk. The teabags we choose (Clipper) have no plastic in them unlike most teabags. You will find reusable shopping bags for you to use in the kitchen. We provide a water filter so you don't need to buy bottled water. We recycle as much as possible.
A short drive away, nearby Stoke Gabriel is a lively village with a well-stocked village shop, two pubs, a BYO bistro, and a cafe on the waterfront by the Mill Pond. Totnes and all its restaurants, cafes, and shops is also close by car.
  • Great place with a beautiful view!

  • Susanna was a great host and made sure we were ok in the middle of Storm Dennis! The barn was beautiful and we had a lovely time - would highly recommend this

    Charlie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The barn was perfect for us, cosy and stylishly appointed. The view out across the valley was just incredible, and we spent quite a lot of time just gazing at it and watching the buzzards circling over a distant field. Susanna was the most thoughtful host, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, including baby equipment. It made our first holiday with our little one so special, and easy!

  • The Little Cob is a very special, cosy place in a quiet and peaceful area. It is decorated exceptionally well and Karen has put a lot of thought into it. My partner and I spent the weekend there and we felt very welcome. Karen had even prepared some treats for my birthday and wrote a message for us for our arrival. There is underfloor heating and the shower in the bathroom is the best! To top it all up, Karen gave us a Spa pass which we did use and really enjoyed. She has put a lot of love and hard work into the Little Cob and you can tell. We are very impressed! Highly recommend!

Karen was a great host, always responds promptly and helping with any queries. Unfortunately we went during a bad weather period but we can't wait to go back in the spring/summer to reap all its benefits.

  • The apartment was very modern and clean. A nice bathroom with a big shower. The bed was really comfortable although there was a dip in the middle of the bed, I think a slat might have been missing. The apartment is in a good location, and the host and housekeeper were very helpful and accommodating.

  • A fresh modern apartment with the most stunning views of Torre Abbey Sands and beyond...! We enjoyed a daily stroll down the cliff walk from the apartment to the Marina where there are some lovely restaraunts. Our favourites were the Pier Point and Rockfish as the food was amazing and they were excellent with children. The apartment was really clean and had some lovely finishing touches including some very snuggley throws to wrap round you while watching the boats come and go from the Marina and the sun set from the balcony. We used the sofa bed for our little ones which was very comfortable. The master bedroom has the most spectacular view to wake up to and the bed was also verycomfortable. The bathroom and kitchen are well equipt for a stay away. Steve was a great host and responded quickly - as did the house manager while we were there.

There was a great selection of breakfast foods including cereal, bacon, tomatoes, milk, lots of fresh eggs (laid by Linda and Tim’s chickens) and bread. I couldn’t have met two more kind, lovely people, and their friends and neighbours, who have helped me, following get my car stuck down a lane!. I am very grateful for the generosity and kindness I have been shown this week. It is a fab place to spend time away from the hubbub of daily living (the phone signal and WiFi isn’t too great) and take a proper break. Rest and enjoy the beautiful country side. Thank you Tim, Linda and your your wonderful neighbours.

  • The Jones’ were so hospitable - catering to our vegetarian diet for breakfast (and lack of preparation). The granary cottage was beautiful, cosy and clean. They even gave us a lift to the train station in the morning - despite all the b***** pot holes!! Will definitely be returning :).

  • Tim and Linda's flat was absolutely perfect. It was comfy, warm and cosy with so many little extras that we weren't expecting. We were severly delayed checking in due to storm Dennis and Tim was still friendly and welcoming at 10.30pm. Giving us a full show around the flat and making sure we were settled in. They provide everything you could possibly need and a great range of food for breakfast, including eggs from their chickens! Fab stay!

  • This is a great local experience. The location is very rural, set down country roads. The little apartment is quaint and clean. The host supplied ingredients for breakfast, including eggs from their own chickens. Highly recommended.

Lovely modern bathroom, cosy bedroom and stylish living space, all right above some of the best restaurants and bars in Plymouth. Steve and his staff provided great communication, and even think to leave a pint of milk in the fridge - a really thoughtful and much appreciated touch.

  • Great location and stylish room! Would stay again

    Sam2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Phil, one of Steve's colleagues, was brilliant with the check in and helped in any way he could. Flat was modern with a clever layout and very clean. Great location in Royal William Yard with buses, taxis and even a water taxi available from the yard when needed

    Tom2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely location, very accommodating regarding check in/out. Flat was very clean, bed was really comfy, the space actually looks better than advertised. Only tiny negative would be the shower pressure is very high with a really thin stream. Overall would highly recommend and will always stay here when visiting Plymouth

  • We really enjoyed our stay. I was down for work, but my wife and 3 year old son came too. John was available anytime and was really helpful when we needed to extend our stay. The living area is spacious and stylish. It was nice coming back in the evenings to the property as I found it comfortable and relaxing- it’s very quiet being away from the main road in its own private block. Parking is plentiful with a gated car park. The garage is really handy if you have bikes or prams. Just a stone’s throw from the beach and the wetlands offers some lovely walks and views. Buses to Kingsbridge or Dartmouth are easy to get to- although we found them surprisingly expensive! Overall I would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

  • We had a really lovely weekend away here, Alasdair was there to greet us on arrival and show us around the shepherd’s hut. We had a lovely meal at the Church House Inn which was 15 minutes’ walk away with a great atmosphere. The hot tub was the real highlight and really made our trip! We also visited Thurleston Sands which was a great beach nearby and Kingsbridge which was a lovely little town. The Shepherd’s Hut was fantastic and we would definitely stay here again.

We came for a long weekend for my boyfriends birthday and it’s a perfect base to explore the local area - it’s only a £20 taxi home from Salcombe if you fancy a few bevs. The pub that’s a ten minute walk is lovely too with great food and friendly staff. It felt very homely, rather than a business, and we were made welcome to use the facilities (e.g. to cook) whenever we needed to... It is also clear that they are trying to live consciously in terms of environmental sustainability & ethically which feels in line with what we were looking for. Would highly recommend. Latitude 52 is a landmark building situated about 1 mile from the City Centre, and right opposite Devonport Dockyard. There is plenty of free on street parking, and it is adjacent to numerous bus routes, Devonport Stn, the A38 and the Torpoint ferry. Latitude 52 was previously a sailors rest, where seamen would pay a few shillings to have the luxury of a bedroom and a hot shower instead of sleeping on board. Now it is home to 100 contemporary apartments based around a communal central atrium.
A 2nd floor West facing contemporary apartment with views over the dockyard and the river Tamar beyond. There's a comfy double bed with memory foam mattress, a well appointed open plan kitchen / living room. There's the added benefit of a Sonos sound dock, Nespresso coffee machine, LED TV and DVD player, mains power shower, and a washer dryer.
Latitude 52, is based in Devonport, Plymouth, directly overlooking the dockyard and Cornwall beyond.
  • Ease of access to the flat and good communication and directions Close to public transport and shops for provisions and fast food eateries.

A beautiful idyllic hideaway in rolling Devon hills, only 3 miles from Totnes and 15 minutes drive to the sea. The Orangery is a detached property in the grounds of a Georgian Manor. A 'wall of glass' captures the uninterrupted, glorious Devon countryside views to the horizon and gives direct access to the private garden with wood fired hot tub for ultimate relaxation.
There is a open-plan living area, with cosy log burner, kingsize bed, plus separate kitchen, shower room and wardrobe. The glass doors slide open to bring the private garden inside. Private garden with hammocks, brick BBQ, rattan sofa, and wood fired hot tub. Views over rolling countryside, lake, and woods, with a rippling stream in the distance. With no light pollution, sit under the stars in the wood fired hot tub (no motors or bubbles ruining the ambience), and enjoy a wine or two. Plenty of walks straight out of the door to two local pubs; The Church House inn and the Pig & Whistle. TV and box of DVDs when you want to snuggle in front of the log burner.
Set in the grounds of a manor house dating back to 1600, and origins going back to the Doomsday book, the location is steeped in history. Totnes is a unique and thriving town with original shops, cafes, restaurants and parks. There are two pubs within a 30 min walk (Littlehempston and Marldon) and Berry Pomeroy castle (English Heritage), with its cafe, is half a mile away, and a lovely walk. Brixham is 15 minutes by car and the beautiful beaches near Salcombe and Dartmouth are easily accessed.
  • Gorgeous place to completely relax. Amazing to wake up with the views across the fields every morning. We had everything we needed and it was the perfect place to hunker down with a load of food and wine, light a fire and just *be* for five days. Highly recommend if you're looking for a completely peaceful getaway!

    Rebecca2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a wonderful weekend away here for his birthday. The accommodation is stunning and extremely peaceful. Totnes is a great area to explore and we really enjoyed our stay.

  • Beautiful location, lovely clean place. Perfect for a relaxing getaway.

    Angela2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Antonia and Rob’s place was fantastic! Not only was the place itself so lovely, but our hosts went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful, making the trip even more relaxing as we knew there was nothing to worry about. The air bnb was one of the most uniquely beautiful places we’ve stayed, and we loved waking up to the spectacular views all around us. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil and relaxing weekend away.

    Daniel2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely space with stunning views! The hot tub was a lot more effort than expected, but we still enjoyed the concept of it. Our highlights were lazy mornings in the most comfy bed, with the gorgeous sunlight flooding in, and enjoying a bottle of wine in front of the fire in the evening. Thank you!

    Fiona2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Just got back from a lovely couple of night at the orangery as a Christmas treat. The place was amazing and once the log burner was in full swing it was really cosy. The view from bed with a cuppa was serene and we even managed to utilise the hot tub with storm Jorge raging around us! Lovely spot and will be back the next time we need a few night away from our little ones!

    David2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so so special. It’s super comfy. The views are spectacular and the hot tub and wood burner made our trip very romantic and cosy. Being on the John Musgrave trail means guests can run / walk for miles in either direction - we did a couple of muddy / hilly runs which were perfect before showering and snuggling by the fire. The bed was really comfortable and having a cuppa in bed whilst looking at the stunning views is a real treat.

Proudly built with luxury and quirkiness as the top agenda, Tilly's is the perfect place for relaxation and peace. Tilly’s is self contained and set in the courtyard of our farm, situated at the end of a long post and rail, private drive. We live in the farmhouse. Surrounded by our 50 acres and with a large garden for your sole use, (a short walk across the yard) you can be sure of no light pollution, many delightful places to walk and plenty of peace and tranquility. The front door leads into the open plan living room and kitchen. The well-appointed kitchen has an electric oven and Smeg hob (gas), microwave, fridge and freezer. A selection of herbs, stock cubes, seasoning, olive oil, tea, coffee, sugar and kitchen roll will be there to start you off. Also muesli, semi skimmed milk, butter and jam. The walk-in shower has oodles of hot water and plenty of space, with quality towels, shampoo, and shower gel. The King size bed is delightfully comfortable; perfect after a day exploring the South Hams. Tilly's has it's own large garden - approximately 10 meters from the front door. There is a covered hot tub (We reserve the right to withdraw / close this facility if there is a mechanical breakdown, severe weather / ice or other issue that makes it deemed unsafe to use) as well as seating and BBQ. Thermostatic central heating throughout. NOTE: Tilly's is extremely popular . . . if your dates are not available, why not check out our other beautiful property - Lofty's which is now available as a one bedroom option for couples (we close off the 2nd bedroom). The nightly price quoted is based on 2 people. It also has its own private hot tub and some fabulously quirky design!
Kingsbridge is just under 5 miles away and the nearest villages (2 miles) are Slapton, East Allington and Blackawton. – each has a traditional village pub. Within 20 minutes you could be at either Dartmouth, Salcombe or one of the many award winning sandy beaches the South Hams has to offer. Dartmoor is less then half an hour from Tilly's - well worth a day out.
  • The cottage is just beautiful and perfectly clean. The location is remote and quiet, perfect for a relaxing quiet get away, yet still close enough to Dartmouth and salcombe and other local villages! The hot tub was so relaxing and overlooked the countryside!

    Lucca2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful place surrounded by countryside, we had the best weekend stay! Julie and Keith were fantastic hosts, everything was perfect!

    Tom2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • 5 star service isn’t a high enough rating! We travelled for hours to get here and it was worth every second! As a very stressed out working couple running a busy business and little time for ourselves this felt like a couple days in heaven. The place is amazing, Julie was just lovely and so helpful above and beyond our expectations. I cannot rate this place highly enough and would 100% recommend and return!

    Joseph2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Julie's place. The hot tub is great with fantastic views, and sheltered enough so the weather wasn't a problem. The accommodation is perfect for a couple with ample space and amenities. Plenty to do in the local area, even in poor weather. Wish we could have stayed longer.

    Chris2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing, was a bit stormy but that made us appreciate the hot tub even more! Definitely will be back!

    Dexter2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most incredible stay at Tilly’s! Everything is so beautiful and Keith and Julie have thought of everything! The bathroom with the twinkly lights is magical and the hot tub is amazing! We will definitely be back! Thank you!

  • Lovely cottage with extra fluffy towels and cosy bedding. We were pleasantly surprised by the luxury of everything in the cottage, from the smart TV and coffee machine to the high quality kitchen items and white company toiletries. The log fire kept the lounge lovely and warm in the evening and there were plenty of logs to burn. Great communication from Steven who made our stay very easy to organise.

  • Such a beautiful location and lovely hostesses who go above and beyond for their guests. Their communication skills were phenomenal from directions, local places to go and even helping with the local takeaway through storm Dennis. Arrived on Valentine’s Day and such a warm welcome! Freshly home made bread to a beautiful bunch of flowers and even a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge! Highly recommended even if it’s raining! Will be returning in the summer! 5* and defiantly more!

  • Superbly presented and in a great location. Couldn't have had a better welcome with fresh bread, teas, milk etc etc in a brilliantly set-up apartment with southerly views across the valley.

    Tony2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great apartment, accurately described, well appointed, lovely comfortable bed and large bathroom with both bath and shower. Kay is a great host and provided some great welcoming touches; homemade bread, fresh orange juice, wine, tea, coffee, butter, jams and more. The best we have ever received at an Airbnb. The apartment was lovely and warm thanks to the ground source heat pump heating. We arrived in the middle of storm Ciara but the apartment kept us snug, warm and was quiet thanks to the double glazing. As Kay says the apartment is about 15 minutes to Bantham beach which we and our dog loved.

    John2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful little place, hidden deep in the valley, with a gorgeous view,we were treated to buzzards, sheep, birds and a nosy pheasant. No noise, pure tranquility.Great use of space, amazingly comfortable bed, slept so well, bath made it for us, was amazing. Loved the fresh bread still warm on arrival, jams marmalades, herbal teas, gorgeous coffee, fresh milk, juice, wine, butter and elderflower juice. We had a perfect weekend, couldn't of been better. The owner allowed us in early,we didn't live far away, it made it for us as it was kind of like an extra day. We will 100 percent book again. Thank you very much.

    Kelly2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great immaculate flat with most amazing view, nice terrace and garden. The flat is very close to bantham beach and some pubs as well. We were also very impressed with all the little touches made by Kay, nice flowers, home baked bread, jams, fresh milk and fresh juice and many more. Kay’s hospitality, her flat and location is definitely exceeded our expectations. We will definitely revisit in the summer and will recommend to our friends. Our dog loved the experience too, thank you so much.

This is a lovely single room facing south with a view out to Plymouth breakwater. It is quite spacious with storage in the bedside cabinet and wardrobe. There's also a small Lloyd Loom chair in there as well with a free standing rail for towels.
My home is a 3 bed roomed, terraced house built in 1936, one of a street of houses constructed for Devonport dockyard managers. The front garden is complete but as an air raid shelter was discovered at the back, the development of the garden is delayed. The room is a slightly larger single bedroom with a view out to Plymouth breakwater. There is also a double room available for rent. There's a separate description for this under another listing, 'A Beautifully Decorated 1930s House'.
My home is in a leafy conservation area 1.2 miles from Plymouth city centre, the Barbican and Plymouth Hoe. There are mainly Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian buildings in the area. There is a restored Victorian municipal park a five minute walk away.

  • The place is absolutely great - I would highly recommend a stay here! Easy walking distance to options for food/drinks, and right on the coast for access to the coastal path for long walks. The flat itself is really nicely put together, with everything you could need - in fact Jaquine and Garry have put in lots of little touches to make it a great stay that were really appreciated.

Set in the beautiful Devon countryside, cosy 1 bedroom property with amazing views, 3 miles from the fantastic surfing beach at Bantham, close to Kingsbridge in the heart of the South Hams. Lovely traditional pub within walking distance.
Kitchen and bathroom completely refurbished - Under floor heating, walk in shower and luxury kitchen - all brand new for Easter 2017 - The Hayloft at Middle Nuckwell is a one bedroom property, with a luxury double sofabed in the lounge, so would sleep 4 people comfortably, and is detached from the main farmhouse. The Hayloft has been recently renovated and includes a fully fitted brand new kitchen, modern brand new bathroom, and private decking area, which includes outdoor sofa, dining set and BBQ. There is also a hot tub on the patio. The garden backs onto a paddock which has horses grazing. There are also free range chickens and ducks - you are welcome to collect your own eggs. The property has amazing views over a beautiful valley. The Dairy at Middle Nuckwell is also available to rent if you require space for more people. Thanks
Nestled in the heart of the South Hams (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), the property is nestled in a beautiful valley. There is a tidal road and estuary within half a mile and there are public footpaths and bridleways nearby, so the location is perfect for walkers and mountain-bikers. Bantham Beach (voted one of the best beaches in Europe by Lonely Planet) is about 3 miles away, so the property is perfect for surfers and water sports enthusiasts. The property is set in the heart of the South Hams so there are numerous sandy beaches and coves to explore. The market town of Kingsbridge is about a mile away, where you will find numerous amenities including supermarkets. The yachting town of Salcombe is also very close by, providing water sports, shopping and many restaurants. Dartmoor National Park is also close and can be seen from the property in the distance.
  • The location is fantastic, local beaches nearby recommended by Katy were lovely. Great space, underfloor heating was a welcome addition and the hot tub and balcony area was beautiful to sit and watch the stars. Very clean, would definitely visit again!

  • I had a great time at Katy's farm house, it was clean spacious and cosy. The hot tub was fantastic and we really enjoyed seeing the animals. We watched some or the classic DVDs provided and had a much needed chilled few days.

  • Had a lovely break at the hayloft, relaxing, quiet environment perfect for escaping the real world! Added bonus was the hot tub!

    Jodie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The best part of the trip was waking up to horses outside your bedroom window, plus a couple of ducks and the odd cockerel. Cannot recommend enough!

    Charlie2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Hayloft is a lovely space and we had a lovely weekend. Hoping to be back soon

  • An amazing weekend stay here! If you need to leave the house you will probably need to drive as the country lanes are very narrow. Hot tub was so relaxing and the hayloft was really homely. Friendly horses next door. Bring milk if you want a cuppa. Would definitely recommend to a friend! Thank you Katy so responding via message to us and making everything so easy!

  • Pretty scenery, lovely hot tub, and friendly and helpful host - Thank You!!

    Brandon2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great 2 night stay at Katy’s place, location is fab if you want something out of the way in the middle of nowhere. The air bnb itself is next to the main house but very private. The hot tub and terrace outside are not overlooked so it felt like we were completely on our own which was lovely. The pictures don't do it justice as there was a lot more space than we were expecting, and the house was super clean and modern. Just a tip if you're a light sleeper you may be woken by the roosters but in general we couldn't hear a thing it was so quiet around. Overall would be very happy to stay again!
