Caroline's B&B was just the perfect place to stay overnight. The bed was very comfortable and there were many stylish aspects from the tiles in the bathroom to the light fittings. I can thoroughly recommend staying at Caroline's place. It was a lovely, restful experience.

Caroline was a great Host nothing was any trouble for her. The Cottage was so cute and very clean. There was a good selection of Dvds, breakfast was thoughtfully arranged and Caroline even supplied a little Almond milk for me as I'm lactose intolerant. I would thoroughly recommend Caroline's little cottage for a secluded little break!

Fantastic little cottage with beautiful home touches and delicious fruit and bread supplied.

Caroline's place was perfect for our trip to the airport the next morning. It's a short 30 minutes or so away and very convenient. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It's a great little secluded spot in the back of the property and was so much better than staying in a hotel room. Everything was great, and we will definitely stay here again on our way through that area of the country.

Caroline's place is a lovely little quaint spot in town. Would have been lovely to stay a little longer & enjoy the lovely garden settings. Our very short stay of overnight there was really enjoyable.

Caroline’s wee cottage was a delight to stay in. Set in her very lovely garden, it’s petite but perfectly appointed. Super comfy bed and pillows plus lots of lovely thoughtful touches. Great breakfast choices, much more than we could have asked for. We will be back :)

This tiny house is a great way to experience living the tiny lifestyle! It’s in a great location with lots of places to visit and things to do in the surrounding area. Janine and her husband were super friendly and helpful, and Janine really knows her stuff about tiny living! Whether you’re interested in tiny houses, or just want a cosy place to get away, this is a great place to stay!

Lovely tiny house on wheels situated in a private little spot at the rear of the property. A unique experience with great hospitality and a nice way to test out tiny house living. Janine is knowledgeable about tiny houses and it was great to have a chat about this. A wonderful stay all-round!

Had a lovely time in the ting house. Janine was so nice and had lots of recommendations for the area. Especially enjoyed the fire pit on cool nights.

Great host and great accomodation

We are keen to build our own tiny house so we're keen to experience it first hand. After starting at Janine's I can safely say it is a no brainer to live small. Her build has some great ideas realised that give me confidence it is all possible and Janine is so happy to knowledge share which is amazing.

Damien and his sweet family made me feel very welcome and at home in this cozy getaway. It is a simple but beautiful and calm space and an ideal place to realign and connect with nature .... I saw a Fairy Wren couple on the fence outside the dining space, kookaburras, magpies and oh, that clear, night sky. Thank you for a pefect stay.

Chris was such an incredible host! She was so kind allowing me to stay such last minute when my other accomodation fell through. She is a wonderful host, charging next to nothing for an entire lounge room, bedroom, and access to two bathrooms (one with a shower and one with a bath!) I can not recommend her enough! She is such a kind woman who loves helping people have a wonderful little get away! Thank you Chris for making my stay so special :) xx

This place is FANTASTIC - the photos do not do it justice. Sooooo comfy and snug, and the view was honestly breathtaking. We loved lounging in front of the fire and soaking in the spa bath. Would happily come back many more times.

Amazing view! Huge cabin with all that you need for a wonderful stay, even a pair of binoculars and hiking sticks! Suzanne answers all my questions promptly and Tony met us on check-in and gave us lots of tips on the stay. An awesome place to stay! We will visit again!

Fantastic fantastic location. Right onto of a 20km hike through the ranges. It was a nice and quiet getaway. The studio is fantastic. No complaints at all.

Outside bath is lovely and private (not photographed). The studio is a perfect size for a single or couple. The space has all your basic needs and comforts!

Luke and Fran were great hosts, making our stay in their perfect studio so comfortable and hospitable. The location of their studio was perfect, just a stones throw from local wineries, pub, cafe and tourist attractions. They exceeded our expectations in terms of the studio itself, with great amenities, a comfortable bed and a toasty fireplace, complete with a continental breakfast. Fran was a great help on check in as she gave us some good tips for local eats and hiking trails., and they also let us know of a baby echidna that was wandering around the property! Overall I could not recommend this stay any higher!

Wonderful place. Much better than the pictures show. The outdoor bath has an amazing view over a canopy of trees. Perfect for a mini retreat (which is what I did) or couples getting away for a romantic break. Fran and Luke were perfect hosts

A lovely studio in a beautiful bush setting. Great walk up to the Memorial Cross nearby. Everything you could need with comfortable bed, clean new facilities and and friendly hosts.

This cottage had everything and was the perfect place for a gorgeous weekend getaway. The cottage was equipped with everything you need and nothing has been forgotten, including all kitchen and cooking needs. That is tea, coffee, milk, breakfast spreads, oil, condiments etc etc. the cottage itself is gorgeous and immaculately clean. The large outdoor garden is lovely and gets all the sunshine morning and afternoon. We took our dog and he loved playing with sticks and lying in the sunshine. All in all I loved this little gem.

Sharon's place is a lovely, comfortable, spacious and very clean cottage. Everything that we needed was there and the back garden area is beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend a stay here.

Beautiful accommodation, with a huge and comfortable bed. Lots of room, with a walk in wardrobe, ironing board, and iron. Ensuite bathroom. All very clean and tasteful. A huge outdoor area that is undercover and nice to sit in. Friendly and helpful host.

Michelle’s place is absolutely stunning! Very stylishly furnished and comfortable for enjoying a night in the house. Beautiful furnishing and all the facilities you could need. The house was easy to find and the key pad entry made accessing the property super efficient. The description of the house was exact and Michelles communication was quick every time. Next time we are in town we will be staying at Michelle’s house :)

A lively well set out house at a great location right next to the Calder Freeway but far enough off it to not feel / sound like it was "on the highway. Very handy distance from the Tullamarine airport for anyone travelling North after thier arrival.

Michelle’s place was perfect as a home away from home while our house was getting renovated. We were still working and the kids were at daycare and Michelle’s place had everything we needed to carry on as usual. Very comfortable and would highly recommend. Thanks Michelle!

Amazingly peaceful and beautiful spot for a quick weekend away out of the city. Such an easy drive out there. Basically an hour from the city yet you feel so far away from it all. Woodend is 10 mins drive and is a beautiful little town with great pubs and a fantastic supermarket for you to stock up before heading out to the property. The cottage is so spacious and comfortable. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Great relaxing place to stay.

The cottage is absolutely idyllic, every room having it's own charm. There's honestly not a nook in this house that you don't want to spend time in. As beautifully as it presents itself in the photos, I was blown away to see it in person. It get's a lot of natural sunlight as there are many windows, making each room (bathroom included) having a beautiful view out to the lake or the stunning gardens. Ann was fantastic, so welcoming and easy to communicate with, and really went above and beyond. The space was extremely spacious, hosting and sleeping eight of us. We used the fireplace which made the cold night so beautiful and cosy. We watched the sunrise over the lake in the morning. The only thing we wished we could change was that we only stayed for one night!! Highly recommend for a group trip or a luxurious and spacey getaway with a couple of people. Would love to come back soon!!

This is a beautiful cottage surrounded by a magnificent garden and sprawling countryside and a couple of large lake. The cottage is elegant and well appointed. Thoughtful touches of wine and fresh artisan bread. Ann welcomed us and we felt comfortable and relaxed after our journey. Would highly recommend this property.

A gem of a place, close to everything but tucked away in a peaceful and private location. The space is clean and spacious with good amenities for self catering, although the bakery and the pub at Lancefield are good eating out options. Checking in and out was easy and Trudi and Colin were very welcoming. And so were the two beautiful horses! Highly recommended, we would love to come back.

Just needed a night off and this place popped up and looked ideal, booked it late afternoon and communication was great, got there and everything was perfect, couldn’t have been better, the flat is fantastic, comfortable bed and pitch black bedroom at night (something I like a lot), nice kitchen, comfortable couch and the resident horses are quite friendly (take a bag of apples and make a couple of friends) I loved this place and I will be back for a longer stay soon..

Well, this little gem of a place was an absolute pleasure to stay in! A quaint little jockey's quarters that has been revamped into a lovely self-contained granny flat. What's more, the hospitality provided by Colin and Trudi was exceptional. Colin went above and beyond in his hosting duties and we were so incredibly grateful. The resident horses coming to the fence for a pat was a wonderful highlight. Thank you so very much for a lovely stay! P.s - to others travelling to the area, there is really no public transport or Uber. However, the flat is within walking distance of the local pub and I can recommend their hot chips!

Was perfect

The Studio is well set up, clean, very comfortable and has everything you could need for a short 2 day stay like mine. This is a beautiful part of the world, great scenery and lots of kangaroos. I even saw an emu and a wombat.

Adrienne’s Studio is so immaculately tidy and perfect for a quick getaway for a misty drive and sightsee. Close to nature walks and sightseeing, little restaurants and pubs, but tucked away so you have your own secluded little spot to come home to. All this with lovely garden views and native wildlife at your doorstep. It’s such a beautiful property and you can tell Adrienne puts a lot of care and thought into its upkeep. We can’t wait to come back.

The place was clean. and had very nice view. I liked the place, and everything except that the kitchen actually was a laundry before and they changed the functionality to a kitchen but it was fine.

Adrianne is a really lovely host. She communicates well, very helpful and did really a great job to give us a comfortable and pleasant stay. Her place is amazingly organised, and cleaned. Facilities offered were really great. The location is perfect for people who love nature living. Kangaroos are around, I never seen Kangaroos that close, I was so excited. I will definitely come back another time.

Secluded little spot. Spa is perfect!

We had a wedding to attend in the area and needed accommodation for one night. We chose Melvyn's as it fitted our needs and budget. Two rooms for 4 people. Melvyn's place was easy to find. His directions on where to park off street were clear. We were v happy with what Melvyn had to offer. The rooms and bathroom were very clean. Good lighting too - not a dark dimly lit room. There was a kitchenette with the usual tea and coffee etc PLUS cereal and avocado, toast etc. In the sitting room there was nuts. V cosy and welcoming. Pity we didn't have much time there as we dropped our stuff off, rushed off to the wedding, back late and then off the next morning for breakfast. Melvyn was friendly and helpful. As we drove off we thought 5 stars. When we got back to Melbourne, I realised that I had left my USB power adaptor behind. I contacted Melvyn to ask him to mail it to me. He agreed but next day he dropped it off!! He decided to visit a friend who lived in the same area as us and drop my adaptor off. How lovely was that. 6 stars. If we needed accommodation in Gisborne again, we'd stay at Melvyn's. Definitely. Can recommend.

We totally loved this place. It looked exactly as advertised and every little detail was taken care of, from freshly picked veggies and fresh flowers, a phone charger by the bed. The fireplace was lovely and the hosts very helpful and responsive in advance of our booking. We were sorry to leave and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a private getaway.

This place is absolutely wonderful. We had a wedding to attend in the area and wanted a nice place to stay to make it a whole weekend. This place was perfect! Such fantastic location for Macedon, hanging rock etc. beautiful touches with food (some home made), toiletries, chocolates etc. Sophie was excellent with communication and very accommodating. Highly recommend for a weekend away.

What an amazing place, full of thoughtful touches, it was better then staying at a 5* hotel. They really have thought of everything, especially with the bits provided for breakfast, with homemade bread and all the provisions to cook up whatever you want. I’ve asked for the recipe for Sophie’s chocolate slices - they were phenomenal!

I booked Sophie’s school house for my parents Christmas present and they absolutely loved it! They said they had the most wonderful stay and absolutely loved the interior of the school house and all the small touches! They really enjoyed their beautiful breakfast and homemade bread! Really lovely, peaceful and quiet. The view over the valley was amazing. To gaze across the fields and see the wildlife was very special. Great facilities- we had everything we needed. Near to the town- Woodend. Ate at the local pub. Vic hotel on the owner recommendation. The best rack of pork ribs we’ve ever eaten. I’d recommend booking a table as the place was packed- we got the last table. Being able to bring our dog was such a bonus. The morning walks were really great. Thanks again- it was everything as described and so much more. We’ll definitely be booking again.

Great location for what we needed. Close to wedding venue and shops/station all close by. Looks better than in the pictures. Very clean. Rooms don't have AC if staying in summer but fans are provided, AC in the main living/dining/kitchen area. Very helpful host. Great stay.

Previous reviews are very accurate. This property is well presented, very clean, a very comfortable stay. Great amenities and close to everything we needed. The train station is centrally located and an easy train ride will take you right into Melbourne for a day of shopping if you wish. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely look to hook with Maureen again.

Maureen's place is great value for money, the beds were clean and comfortable and had warming blankets ( if needed) and we had a great experience. Maureen was thoughtful enough to ask we type of milk we wanted before check in and she let us check in much earlier. Would recommend and will definitely stay again!

Lucy is an amazing host in this time of Covid. She went way beyond expectations to make sure we get to her home safe. The house is beautiful, spacious and comfortable. We loved its artful atmosphere and the stylish spaces.

Lucy has created the most wonderful home here. The house is full of light and is so beautifully decorated with fabulous and interesting art work. You also see Lucy's pottery on display and can even drink from one of her handcrafted coffee cups! The house is sparkling clean with a fantastic kitchen, dining and living space and excellent bathrooms with a deep bathtub and full powered showerhead. This is a beautiful spot in a quiet neighbourhood and is perfectly located to get to the Sunbury train station and the main street with its restaurants and cafes. We also ventured out to Macedon from here making it great value if you want to explore the region at a very affordable price. We really appreciated how family friendly Lucy was too and the backyard was great for the kids to roll about in (the mural is such a fabulous touch too!) So many thanks for an excellent stay Lucy x

Angela's place is absolutely beautiful. There's so much light that comes into the house, making the space warm and inviting. It's on a very quiet street thus there's no noises when you're trying to sleep. Angela herself is an amazingly friendly woman and I would highly recommend anyone needing a place to stay in the area to give her accommodation a try.

This is a very comfortable, clean and modern house. The neighbourhood is very quiet and we felt very relaxed at the house. It is located in an outer suburban area and is a nice base for exploring the Macedon Ranges area. Angela was very friendly and good to deal with. She made us feel very welcome.

Nice quiet country side accommodation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Sarah and the team were able to communicate with us efficiently to ensure our stay was the best it could be. The tiny house is located in a very safe yet private and secluded area at the back of the goat farm! (Goats are very very cute) perfect place for peace and tranquility!

It was perfect

It was great staying in the tiny house. We were able to get close to the goats. The surroundings are amazing, the small fireplace kept us warm. Definitely recommend for a weekend (or longer) getaway!

A real must see for people who love views .. We almost didnt leave the property at all. There was so much to explore. I would definitely recommend it for the nature lovers.

Row of three cabins with beautiful view, bigger and better quality than photos showcase. Saw a couple of wombats on our walk. Relaxing for a quick weekend away.

Wombat Lodge is a great place to have a small getaway. The view from the room was beautiful and the whole cabin gave a nice and cozy vibe. The walks are enjoyable and there is an abundance of wildlife! Loved it and would recommend!

Had a really nice stay. Great views. The heating works really well along with a nice fire!

A great place with lots of space for our kids to run free. It's a very bushy block, and out of fire season the fire pit is a great place to congregate. We found on the property flocks of eastern grey kangaroos that passed through, and a few swamp wallabies and koalas that call the block home. Well equipped with everything you would want for a short stay

Such a wonderful place to stay. We wish we had have stayed longer. The place was spotless, beautiful bathrooms and the beds comfortable. Such a lovely stay, especially if you want a tree change. Five minutes from the little town of Romsey where you can find everything you might need and all of the lovely country towns of Macedon are close by. We spotted the kangaroos at dusk and in the morning on a little bush walk around the property. Such a peaceful place. Enjoyed our morning coffees both on the front and back decks. Brilliant communication from the hosts online before and during our stay and information when you arrive. Looking forward to coming back.

I had a wonderful stay at Helen's place. I would always come back. The whole place is beautiful and everything is super clean. Bed is so comfortable and there is a gorgeous little garden and shared terrace. Helen is super nice and I love her art, that can be found all throughout the place. ...oh and she has the cutest little dog. Thanks again so much for having me :)

This BnB is an ideal place for the single traveller, especially a wary female. You will feel very safe in this special place, with such considerate hosts.

Helen is a lovely host. Most welcoming and her little puppy is gorgeous and loves a pat. The room was wonderful and bed was very comfortable and clean. Will definitely stay again when wanting to fly in and out as only 20 mins from the airport. Very nice suburb and supermarket and shopping centre is 240m away. Great stay..

Helen’s place was perfect for relaxing. The bedroom was located in a separate section of the house so if you are looking for a quiet spot, this is it! I found the bed comfy and there was a small fridge in the room, as well as continental breakfast items, so you didn’t even need to leave your room to eat! Helen’s house was a 20-30 minute Uber ride from the airport (depending on time of day/traffic). I would absolutely stay again and wish I’d had time to explore the local community.

Beautiful space, really well layout and great amenities

This was one of my partner and I’s favourite air bnb we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. Gorgeous and private little home with beautiful amenities. Our favourite part was the outdoor bath and the fire place. We will definitely come back here again to enjoy it all over!

Jennine's place was one beautiful and stylish cottage that gave us a total luxury to enjoy the weekend away from the busy city living of Melbourne. The place was super clean and modern with amazing interior deco w lots of arty touch - even plates and cups were artist made and felt special using them;) The outside bath worked as a real treat and felt like we were in the hot spring under the stars. Bed was super comfy and everything we needed were there. The kitchen worked very well and we made a full use of it by baking yummy food all evening. And thanks Jennine for providing a full set of continental breakfast! The heater was surprisingly warm and effective for heating the whole place very quick and there was even a high tech floorheating in the bathroom! Communication with Jennine was efficient and fast. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay and was a perfect place for a special weekend away:) Thanks Jennine!

We really loved Jennine's place - it was clean, quiet and comfortable and the fire pit and outdoor bath were a treat. We will definitely come back next time we are up that way :)

Kella really is a fantastic host, great communication, very flexible, and lots of little touches that show that she cares about your experience as a person rather than just as an income source. I’ve stayed with Kella before and won’t hesitate to do the same next time I need to be in the area.
