As always, a very special place for our friends and family and has become a yearly (or hopefully more frequent!) tradition for us all. We had a lovely time relaxing by the fire and playing board-games as well as enjoying the grounds and the history of the place. We're very much looking forward to coming back later in the year. Lovely and warm. The kitchen is perfect for lots of people cooking and eating and the sitting room large and quite comfortable especially when the wood burning stove is lit. Our toddler loved exploring, inside and out. Just make sure you plan your sleeping arrangements beforehand because although it can sleep up to 12 there are only 4 bedrooms. Well recommended.

Another wonderful stay. This is the second time we have stayed here with friends and hope to return again next year. It's the perfect place to get together with friends, it such a lovely space and ground you don't need to leave.

Fantastic weekend away

Wow ... myself and my boyfriend stayed at The Dairy for our 3 year anniversary. We wanted to have a cosy weekend for too out and away from busy London - nestled in the countryside ... and this cottage fit that brief perfectly! From checking in to checking out our stay was wonderful and the hosts were very attentive. We loved sitting by the log burner with a cup of tea and biscuits wrapped in a warm blanket. The wooden beams, fairy lights and soft furnishings created the perfect atmosphere to relax. We definitely would love to come back for another stay in the future! X

Stunning property! Cosy and perfect for a weekend away

A charming, quiet and cosy spot, full of character - even lovelier than it looks in the photos - on the edge of a little village. We spent two nights at the Diary and would’ve loved to have stayed longer. Really clean and well-equipped for self-catering, comfortable beds, plenty of DVDs, books and games, and some thoughtful welcome treats. Kate was there to meet us and gave us tips on the local pubs, bakery and butchers. The log burner was an added bonus and was stacked and ready to light. Can’t recommend this place enough.

A delightful short stay was had at The Dairy. Its incredibly cosy and well located to explore the local area.

Beautiful, cosy and all round ideal country escape. Kate and her husband were so friendly and went out of their way to help make our stay special. The dairy is so historic and has such a great feel, largely due to the Moroccan and rustic furnishings, as well as the beams and amazing wood burner. Really well located to explore the suffolk coast, we hope to return as soon as we can!

The dairy is the perfect place to go away for some relaxation. The village is lovely and location to loads of great places is fantastic. The dairy is stylish and comfortable and there was plenty of room for four of us! Thanks again Kate will return.

I stayed at the Dairy with my girlfriend for two nights and we loved it. The Dairy was rustic but very clean and well furnished, with all the facilities you’d need for a short stay. The log burner was a great bonus in February. Stradbroke is a lovely village with a nice local bakery, village shop and pubs. It is easy to get to from the A140 and has great access to other villages and their own little shops and pubs. We visited the Swan in Hoxne, the Old Kings Head in Brockdish and the Ivy House in Stradbroke itself and had a great time at each.

She wasn't there when we arrived but sent me very clear directions for getting there and access instructions, as well some local pub and restaurant tips for our stay. Had a fabulous stay at Teresa and Darrin's cottage. The cottage itself is modern, clean and well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay in the countryside. The large garden, with outdoor seating area made a perfect spot for enjoying some spring sunshine. Teresa is the perfect host - friendly, easy to communicate with and went out of her way to make sure we had the best possible stay. Will definitely be back!

We had a really lovely time at Teresa’s place. We had the house to ourselves and on a sunny day you can enjoy a cup of tea outside in the garden. Very comfortable bed and pillows - and the extra blankets came at hand too for chilling on the sofa! Would recommend it to a couple or two couples, as there are two bedrooms available. We are thankful that Teresa offered her place during these unsettling times of panic due to coronavirus. On Sunday we went to Thetford Forest, 45 minutes away and a real beauty. We are thinking of coming again and wishing the hosts our kindest thoughts! Diana and Cristian

We had a lovely relaxing time at Pasture View. The accommodation was spotlessly clean with everything you need. The beds were extremely comfy and the room sizes were much larger than I had anticipated. Value for money was great for such a pleasant enjoyable time.

Fab place to stay. Super clean! I have OCD so I know. Very quiet. I booked it for a suprise night away for a friends birthday. Teresa made sure there was milk when we arrived. Easy to find but very easy to miss. Plenty of parking....thankfully as we had 4 cars!. Dishwasher was a massive bonus! Very reasonably priced

This property is exactly what we needed for a girlie get away. It is sparkling clean, perfect with our dogs and has everything you’d need (or not even realise you need!). It certainly feels like a home from home and we will definitely be returning.

We had the most amazing 2 nights here, everything we wanted and more! Absolutely beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location. The hot tub and sauna made it extra special, and the bottle of Prosecco chilling in the fridge when we got there was a lovely touch. Everything was sparkling clean and it 100% had that home from home feel. Wish we could of stayed longer, it was perfect from start to finish.

The cottage is as quirky, old and interesting as the photos show. Perfect country retreat, just what we wanted for a winter weekend. Hot tub and sauna are great, but definitely recommend the on site hot stones and massage, what a fabulous extra to relax and unwind. Highly recommend and hope to go back very soon. John, the host is great in terms of communication and answering any questions quickly and efficiently. Thank you John, for recommending the White Horse Inn, great food and a discount card is a lovely bonus! We went for a girls weekend, though perfect for couples or family chill out time. I will be back...think of the film 'Holiday' and you will hope for snow when stay!

Everything you could need for a break away from it all. A stunning place, both inside and out. So many adorable features, found myself keep wandering into the downstairs bedroom and saying over and again how cute it was! Despite coronavirus partial lockdown beginning while we were there, the owners did everything to provide what we needed without coming into any contact with us. A perfect getaway. Highly recommend

Highly recommend staying in Nicky and Denzil’s beautiful barn. We had an amazing stay here. The barn is beautifully decorated and the hosts are very thoughtful.

Had a lovely stay at Hedgerow Barn, lovely touches with the biscuits coffee, teas, milk, and flowers. Found the barn very cosy and inviting, loved watching all the birds on the feeders. A beautiful, quaint stay! There were 4 of us with 2 dogs and the space was perfect. The upstairs bedroom is very spacious, the downstairs bedroom is small but we loved it! So cosy! We spent every day going on long local walks to the local pubs and spent each evening playing board games with a glass of wine. The kitchen and living room space is a perfect size - and had everything we needed. Thoughtful touches were added - especially the yummy biscuits!

Nicky & Denzil’s place was perfect! Exactly as it was described and had everything we needed. We wanted to book a space that allowed us to chill out and explore. It was just over an hour to Southwold which was perfect for us! It was clean and tidy and had everything we needed to make delicious dinners. Little touches, biscuits (for us and the dogs) and flowers. We felt relaxed and at home. We were four adults and the space was perfect for us. Thank you very much. We will be back.

Karen was very accommodating, was very quick to response and was happy to take a booking at very short notice, the room is bigger than it appears in the photos, it was comfortable and very close to the town centre.

Already cannot wait to stay at Helen’s place again! Such a cosy space with lovely touches, from the fresh brownies and milk so we could have a cuppa when we arrived, to all the tips that were left for places to eat in the local area and lovely walks you could explore. The wood burner was already on when we arrived which made us feel super cosy and felt like walking in to a home. It is a space that has really been thought out well with no expense spared on the lovely decor and homely touches. The bed was very comfortable with nice linen but the highlight of our trip had to be waking up and opening the blinds to find wild rabbits playing right outside the windows. A car is a must as the location is quite remote, which is great for that country feel but still close enough to lovely towns and villages you can explore a few different places everyday which was great. We will definitely be back!

A gorgeous place from the outside in... has everything you need. Very comfortable and stylish with a great atmosphere. Would definitely stay again. The WiFi didn’t work 100% but Helen and Graham were there for our every need! Amazing Hinderclay guide - we packed lots of interesting things in locally - all within a 20 minute drive. Perfect for a short stay in the peace and quiet.

We were so impressed with this beautiful house where we stayed on our weekend trip away from London. 10/10 for comfort, Helen’s done an amazing job to make this a place of relaxation, tranquility and happiness. Leaving the house on our daily trips away, it naturally felt like coming back to home to put on a log fire and enjoy the warmth of this accommodation.

A perfect spot for a few quite days without any interruptions. We had a wonderful weekend in Helens cottage, everything was great and super cosy!

A wonderful property for a peaceful break in a great part of the country.

The property was absolutely fabulous with some extra touches which I’ll let you find out. The hosts, David and Frankie were very welcoming. There are some lovely places to eat within an easy drive.

It was a dream vacation away from the busy city life. The place reminded me of my childhood, i’ve been raised on fields too. The place was just as we expected and David and his wife are an amazing hosts. They response very quick and made sure our stay was pleasant. P.S now I know how does a chimney works. Haha

A brilliant combination of old and new in house and gardens ensures rest, comfort, beauty, enjoyment and so much more. A lovely hideaway as a base to explore Suffolk. The bottle of wine and flapjacks were a nice surprise! If you’re looking for a place to relax, in the countryside with plenty of local walks and attractions a short drive away, this is a great spot. Alison and Katy were exceptional hosts, very welcoming and friendly. The accomodation was first class with a bedroom, bathroom and seperate sitting room and use of the kitchen. Would recommend to anyone considering a stay here.

Lovely hosts with a beautiful house to match. I would have no hesitation in coming back. A nice comfortable room with large modern bathroom and a lounge for relaxing if needed. Couldn’t fault a thing, highly recommended.

Alison and Katy were lovely welcoming warm hosts, we felt very comfortable staying in their modern contemporary clean home, lovely modern private bathroom with shampoo, shower gel, deep bath and walk in shower adjacent to the bedroom. Lounge downstairs with TV was an added bonus which we would of used if staying longer at the property. As we arrived late, a well lit pathway to the side door was practical and safe with off road parking on driveway. The bedroom has a comfortable mattress, nice linen, alarm clock, hanging rail for clothes, desk, long wall mirror (good for doing hair), plenty of sockets and a well stocked tea tray with ground coffee cafetiere and chocolate biscuits, nice thoughtful touches which made it a little extra special. Breakfast laid out in the kitchen for us to help ourselves completed the stay with cereals, fresh fruit, toast and jams, spreads, tea and coffee. We will try and come back when it is not raining ! so we can walk around the village of North Lopham and explore more of the lovely Norfolk surroundings and countryside .....

This is a beautiful home that you are made to feel very much a part of. You will have everything you could possibly need and be very well looked after throughout your stay. With a private bedroom, bathroom and living room you'll have all the space you want, but the greatest part is definitely chatting with and getting to know your warm and interesting hosts.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay: perfect hosts, lovely house, great breakfast, comfortable bed. We couldn't fault it and look forward to going back.

We stayed at Janes lovely apartment in her wonderful grounds near her Stables. The location for us was perfect. It was Christmas Eve and the village of Stanton was amazing which could be reached within half an hours walk. It was so Christmassy in the village with a nice pub and a fish and chip shop as well as great Christmas lights. Good off road parking and a warm comfortable room, with a nice TV. Nice place in a peaceful location, had everything you’d need.

This is my second stay here and I wouldn't hesitate to choose it again. The room was a great size for me as a single traveler. It had everything I needed for a 3 night stay. Mark and Teresa provided milk, butter, cereal and some other basics for my stay. It was clean, quiet and comfy and the hosts were very friendly.

Amazing room, great host, would stay again

Karen's place is quirky but cosy! The room is well supplied with a chiller, microwave, toaster and plenty of cereal. Although only heated by a plug in heater, it stayed really warm despite some really nasty wintery conditions. The shower in the wet room downstairs was great - lots of water pressure and really hot. The alley you need to go down was very dark, so get your phone torch ready if you arrive after sunset! Karen was there to meet me despite me turning up an hour early and was very welcoming, and also provided a little guide to the accommodation in the room to explain the ins-and-outs. The room is right in the middle of town so convenient for the town centre shops and also close to the river, which is pretty to walk along. All in all this was great place to stay and really good value. I hope to be back! Thanks Karen!

Karen’s place is in a great location, right in the centre of town. It’s a cute annex and nice and secluded and quiet. We had our own private access and our own shower room. And she was super helpful throughout our stay! We’d definitely stay here again!

Perfect location to visit East Anglia. All the important destinations are just a short drive away. Self catering visit the local farm shops, rare breed butcher and farmers markets.

This is my second stay here and I absolutely loved it (again). The bed is so comfortable and the surroundings almost silent, except for the birds and the wind. I come here to study and write, and I get a huge amount done, but I also go home feeling rested and peaceful. I'm sure part of that is down to Robyn's home-made bread, which has magical properties. Thoroughly recommended.

The standard of this accommodation is exceptional and it’s by far the best Airbnb we’ve stayed at. Immaculately clean, modern and a lovely place to stay. Comfy beds, good quality bed linen and towels. Thoughtful touches such as cake and fresh flowers on arrival. Fully equipped kitchen and basics such as bread, milk, eggs, cereals, coffee and tea left for us which were much appreciated. We enjoyed having the wood burning stove on in the evenings and loved the light airy space. Lovely view and rural location - nice for walks. Will be recommending to friends and would love to stay again if in the area. Thank you Caroline for your hospitality x

wow,wow,wow,wow this home is the best we have ever stayed in , Its super clean and super modern but feels so cosy . I must admit we dont normally book places that allow dog but based on the reviews I was prepared to take the risk, There was no evidence of this being a dog free zone Thankfully . We have nothing against dogs I may add . The space is out of this world ,The furnishings are of high quality and make the house a home .We stayed for only two nights but we have already booked a week in the summer .The outside space goes on and on the private back decking area is also a space we are looking forward to on our next visit, The beds and the bedding are of high quality as are the en suite bathrooms . Very kind welcome cake and basic supplies in the fridge ,eggs ,bread ,butter and milk .The log burner was a cosy extra to go home to after exploring Suffolk .We had two great meals out you do need a car to get to locations . You will be mad not to book this home . Caroline is a lovely warm welcoming lady , BOOK IT ,BOOK IT .

Great studio with a view of the mere. Hannah replies to messages quickly and allowed us to check in early. The studio is in a perfect location in the hub of Diss. Tim & Lynn were fantastic hosts! We would definitely recommend anyone to stay with them. In this quaint town, Tim & Lynn make you feel right at home! And it’s no more than a 10-min walk to anything!!!!

Clean, cosy, comfy, compact twin room in characterful town house, right in centre of the town's independent-shop area. Friendly, communicative, responsive hosts. Nice shower! Perfect for us - two guys on bikes doing a bit of touring round Suffolk - as we could store our bikes safely, shower and chill out after our ride, and then stroll out five minutes up the street to enjoy Bury St Edmunds' range of atmospheric cafes, bars and pubs. We enjoyed the free basic breakfast too!

We were given very clear directions to the accommodation, and information about the area, shops, local places to eat, etc. The annexe feels like a cottage, self contained, everything you need was provided, it was sparkling clean, and lovely and warm when we arrived on a wet dismal December evening. There were fresh flowers in the bedroom, and a welcome pack with locally produced fruit juices and chocolates. Also a lovely patio area outside which would be a good place for breakfast in warm weather. Thank you Debbie.

Great space with everything you could possibly need in the annex. Quiet & peaceful area ..... we slept well every night. We had little or no service on our mobiles but that was a nice change to be uncontactable ! But if you rely on yours you may want to check with Ian & Debbie which service providers are better.

Debbie and Ian were absolutely lovely and so was the place! The space was really well used and the garden setting was gorgeous. Amenities were great too! We had more than enough kitchen supplies and the internet was decent enough to watch Netflix too. If we were really being picky then the lack of soap in the shower or the jittery TV was unexpected but we never addressed this so it's unfair to hold that out on its own. It was a mobile phone black spot too so I found that amazing as I got to switch off from the world when I wanted. Absolutely recommend this spot and most certainly aim to come back soon

A lovely little place in the middle placed centrally in the est of England, perfect for exploring Norfolk and Suffolk. Our host, Debbie, was welcoming and helpful and left us a few goodies to settle us in. It was so peaceful and quiet: just what we wanted to relax after days out on our travels.

Ellen's cottage is just as described, large enough but also cosy. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches of fresh milk and biscuits for that much needed cuppa on arrival. You wont be disappointed with the characterful charm and position of the cottage

Lovely cottage in a very rural location . The garden is full of birds visiting the feeders in the garden. Very well equipped kitchen and nice to have hand wash, good quality towels and cosy duvet. Interesting places to visit a short drive away, we especially recommend Wyken vineyard shop and restaurant.

Ellen’s place is a quiet and lovely cottage. It has all that was needed for short or long stays. Lots of information and nice little touches. Ideal location to stay and enjoy the area.

This is probably my favourite Air b&b so far. Suffolk is a much under-rated County for walking and days out. We loved the house and the surrounding countryside. I cannot find anything negative to say, apart from the landlady in the Royal George is in the wrong business, she has no social skills. I am sure we will be back if we are welcome. A great little place, perfect for a little break

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the Piano Forte. It suited us perfectly for the R&R retreat we were after. Private, peaceful and cosy - a fantastic escape from busy life.

Lovely place to stay for a get away. Use of hot tub is a must. The hut has everything you need and more.

The perfect get away from our city jobs! The hut was cosy, excellently equipped, and exactly what we were hoping for.

Had a lovely stay at piano forte, and will definitely be back! The hut is really well equipped, the hot tub is wonderful, and plenty of fun things to do and places to explore around Thetford and Banham. Great way to escape for a few days.

This place is amazing, exactly how it was advertised, clean cosy and like a home from home! Loved every minute here and didnt want to leave. The shepherd's hut was well equipped and the decor was very modern and stylish! It was like being in your own private space and you would have never known there was anyone around! Felt very relaxed in the hot tub without being overlooked. I would 100% recommend adding the hot tub onto your stay. One thing I would say is that the Wifi doesnt reach inside of the shepherd's hut but it does while in garden area, however this didnt affect our stay. I always had quick responses from the host whenever i had a question to ask. I will be recommending Piano Forte to everyone and will be returning.

A lovely one night stopover (sadly only for business), but Hermione couldn't have been any more welcoming and helpful. The annexe is well-eqipped and great value for such a central location.

A nice comfortable, quiet place, in a lovely location to explore lovely Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.. if you like exploring, it’s a good start..

You will enjoy the large space and great kitchen complete with a washer. It definitely has a homey feel. The location is ideal if you travel by train. There are several local pubs. A short walk to Asdas Grocery Store. They close early but there's a corner store close by. The host is great and will help when needed.

I had a brilliant couple of days staying in Hermione's Annex, I was comfy, cosy and warm. A nice peaceful place but very close to the town and perfect for travelling by train.

Plenty of room for the two of us. Spent 10 days here and it was very comfy and warm. Great to have kitchen and washing machine. Bed was very comfortable too. 5 min to walk into town . And train station really on the door step. Good value for money .

Great Stay!

Beautiful cottage and ideal location in a lovely village. Two dog friendly pubs within easy reach , we preferred the food in the White Horse, but the old wooden snug in the nearby pub is incredible- a must see . Comfy furnishings and bedding , love the two separate duvets , used to have this in Germany, excellent if you have a larger restless sleeping partner ! Marie left thoughtful touches , apple juice, bread and some yummy treats for our dog!! The stairs are quite steep , prob not for arthritic knees or little ones ! Everything is beautifully and thoughtfully furnished and a house book full of useful and informative information. Highly recommended!

Magical. Inspiring. Everything about our stay at poet's corner was special. The interiors are impeccable, and our girls loved discovering woodland creatures hidden throughout the house. Marie's hospitality was exceptional. We cherished every moment and only wish we could have stayed longer!

Gwyneth is a lovely host and her place is very cosy, spotless clean and has absolutely everything you need during your stay. The bed is super comfortable too! Gwyneth is very communicative and provided clear instructions on how to get to the property prior to my stay. When you stay at Butterflies you will feel like a very good friend has lent you their home to stay in

It really is one of those places where the host has thought of everything. It didn't feel like it was being done to make money but to give people a lovely time.

Jasmine is very helpful and kind owner, the house is comfy and clean, and is easy to go anywhere, the biscuit and chocolate are so good.

So many thoughtful touches in this lovely home including a basket of goodies and chocolates upon our arrival. We were greeted by an enthusiastic and friendly host, Jasmine who introduced us to the annexe which was very clean, warm and extremely comfortable. We were pleased to see a good sized bathroom with fluffy towels and a good sized bedroom with a very comfortable super king bed. Even though the location is in a quiet village with parking outside the front door, it was still central to the town of Thetford and Tesco supermarket within easy driving distance. Jasmine was very quick to respond to any queries, even offering places for us to visit during our stay during winter. We also appreciated her changing the linen and towels midway through our two week visit. A wonderful fortnight exploring Norwich. Would highly recommend the Butterflies Annexe.

First Airbnb this year sets a great standard for the rest. Butterflies is a lovely place with everything you could wish to have for a short or long stay, business or pleasure. The additional thoughtful touches added by Jasmine make it exceptional.

Gill and her family have created a beautiful, stylish and relaxing sanctuary in the Suffolk countryside. The space would be perfect for an individual or couple as a relaxing retreat. The private garden space is picturesque - capturing sun for all most of the day and overlooking the fields beyond. The space inside the Brome Cupboard is warm and inviting and very quickly feels like home. Gill provides are own unique and personalised touch to the interior. The surrounding area is peaceful - you can easily spend your days following the local footpaths across the inviting rural landscapes. Without hesitation, I would recommend the Brome Cupboard - a wonderful place to stay!

Was my first work stay away in an AirBnB and was great. The Brome Cupboard is a lovely private space and Gill makes you feel so welcome. Lovely touches such as breakfast, milk and beer in the fridge! Ruby the dog is super friendly too!
