A beautiful barn conversion in picturesque Stonor Valley, 10 mins from Henley-on-Thames. The barn is surrounded by a 5 acre garden shared with our farmhouse and enjoys spectacular views. Use of tennis court & indoor pool.
As you enter the barn through tall glass doors, you come into an open-plan sitting room, with double height ceiling and a comfortable seating area. To the right and still part of this open plan room, is a dining table that seats up to 12 and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven, hob and a dishwasher. Also on the ground floor are two double bedrooms and a bathroom. Upstairs, the barn is made up of two large mezzanine rooms accessed by two staircases flanking the fire place. To the right above the kitchen and dining area is a large family bedroom (described under Accommodation) and to the left on the mezzanine is a Games Room, with a full sized billiard table. The fire place is a focal point of the open plan living room and is in good working order, logs will be provided although the barn is centrally heated. There is no washing machine or tumble dryer but a laundry service can be provided at an additional cost by the owner. Accommodation: This property is advertised for 12, it is ideal for that number if shared between two families with children but for an adult group wanting their own space and privacy we would recommend it for a group of 6, two in each of the three rooms. It can be scaled up further in terms of beds to a maximum of 14 on sofa beds (x2 singles) and truckles (single bed in Master with one truckle below) and doubles (x 5 across x 3 rooms) but this is not recommended for a comfortable stay. Please note there is only one bathroom! The bathroom is spacious, with loo, sink, bath and separate wet-room shower. The accommodation comprises: x 1 double bedroom that sleeps 3 (1 double bed and a single bed, there is a truckle under this single bed so could work for two children) x 1 double bedroom that sleeps 2 (1 double bed) x 1 family bedroom / children's room - this is located on the mezzanine level and sleeps 7 (x 3 double beds and one single sofa bed). Please note that this is on a mezzanine and open to the living area below, it is perhaps a consideration for those with young children who are light sleepers and likely to be disturbed by light or noise from the main sitting room below. A travel cot is also available for small infants. In the Games Room there is a further single sofa bed if required. Tennis Court: This is right next door to the guest house and can be used by guests as they please. Swimming Pool: The indoor pool is attached to the farmhouse and must be accessed via the house, therefore it will be offered to guests between the hours of 8am and 7pm. Pool towels are provided.
The Stonor Valley is situated in the Chilterns just 10 minutes drive from Henley-on-Thames and is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The village of Pishill, is charming, it has a local pub, The Crown Inn and a 12th century church. This is a dream location for walkers and cyclists. We provide a map to help you plan walking and cycling routes. For those seeking a little culture, we are also just a mile away from neighbouring village, Stonor where the impressive country house, Stonor Park is situated amidst a stunning deer park. The house and garden are open to the public at restricted times, so check their website before planning your visit. Whilst this is a rural area, there is no shortage of good places to eat from Michelin starred restaurants to honest local pubs, many within walking distance and all listed in the information booklet, a pdf of which can be sent to you prior to your stay. If you are celebrating a special occasion, we have two 2-star Michelin restaurants in easy reach although early booking is essential. - Raymond Blanch's 'Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons' in Great Milton is 20 minutes away - Tom Kerridge's 'Hand and Flowers' in Marlow is 15 minutes away and his more casual dining tapas bar 'The Coach' is also in Marlow is great (they do not accept reservations and are very busy on Saturdays). Otherwise, for more down to earth dining, there are so many wonderful pubs to choose from serving restaurant standard food to honest pub grub. Henley-on-Thames and Marlow are both beautiful historic towns, boasting lovely walks along the banks of the Thames, good retail therapy with many boutique shops and a good selection of restaurants. Henley has a charming cinema, Regency theatre and the Water and Rowing Museum that alongside a history of rowing, tells the tale of Kenneth Grahame's 'Wind in the Willows' inspired by this stretch of the river. Boat trips, boat and canoe hire are possible from both Marlow and Henley. There are lots of events going on in the area and Pishill is the ideal place to stay of you are visiting: Henley Royal Regatta, Henley Festival, Henley Literary Festival, Garsington Opera (now located on Getty Estate just a few miles away), Ascot Races (40 minutes).
  • We headed to the barn as a plan B after our trip to Rome was cancelled, and suffice to say what a great decision it was. The arrangements were quite last minute, but everything was seamless, from securing the booking to checking out, signs of hosts who have their guests best interest at the heart of offering their accommodation. Whether you are looking for a base to hike round the glorious surroundings, venture in to the local towns, or like us, just use the property and amenities to relax, then the barn is a great option. Cherry pick any of the reviews and all the guests have a glowing tribute to this barn. It is great place and myself and friends will no doubt be back at some point in the future.

  • This place is amazing! 12 of us went for a long weekend away. The house is gorgeous and the swimming pool was great fun. We got taxis into Henley to do a tour of the excellent pubs. Would recommend highly.

  • We had a great time away over the new years eve break Great location, great barn and great hosts We were unsure about the one bathroom situation but with the other shower next to the swimming pool, it wasn’t a problem We would definitely consider coming back here!

  • What a fantastic location and place to stay! Sarah's Barn is spacious but cosy and with our dog the garden and walks nearby were just fantastic - we also enjoyed the tennis/swimming pool. Some lovely pubs nearby and of course Henley within easy reach. For a family get together I could not recommend it more highly - Thanks Sarah!

  • Sarah’s house made a wonderful and relaxing city escape. It rained a lot but we were cozy inside and the kids kept busy in the pool.

    Virginia2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic property with many amenities. Sarah was a personable and easily contactable host. Inside the property has been done to a very high standard; alongside beautiful grounds and surroundings. Stayed here in the run-up to my wedding with my ushers and I am very happy I chose to do so. Would recommend to anyone looking for a property/accommodation in this stunning area

    Jake2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah was such a great host making sure absolutely everything was covered before we arrived, pin pointing the property from both directions, which was so helpful! The view from the house was stunning, not to mention the property itself. We cannot fault this house. Definitely recommend to friend groups, families, literally anyone. There is something in the local area for everyone. We also rate Hobbs of Henley for boat hire!

A light and sunny open-plan lodge, with private deck and lovely views over open fields. Awarded Gold standard from Green Tourism UK. Fully equipped kitchen, TV, wifi, double bed, open-out sofa bed, dining table, shower room and utility room with washing machine.
A 45m2 open plan lodge built using hemp, engineered timber, with green walls, green roof and fitted with triple glazed windows and doors, LED lighting & far infrared heating. The lodge is a separate building within our property with the best views out to open fields. It has an open plan design allowing guests to have a continuous view of the countryside. It has a fully equipped kitchen, double bed and open-out sofa bed, dining table, satellite TV, including Sky movies and sports, and wifi. Outside there's a large decked area for relaxing in the sunshine or cooking on the BBQ. There's a small utility room with a washing machine and ample space to hang coats. The space is very private and guests have their own deck to admire the view and relax and watch the sunsets over sundowners. There's plenty of parking and places to store bikes, or we have bikes available to rent at a nominal charge on request (please let us know if advance) if you aren't able to bring your own. We provide coffee, tea, milk, and sugar and, when we can find them, some eggs from our free-ranging chickens when they are laying. We can arrange for local produce and wine during your stay at an additional cost. The lodge is also equipped with a nesting box with integrated camera so you can secretly watch the nesting and brooding habits of the resident blue tits in the Spring. We have a travel cot available on request at no extra charge. We are only 3 miles from the nearest railway station at Cholsey so can arrange transport from the station on request if you would like a car-free break. We are on a number of on and off-road cycle routes so we are an ideal location if you are either just passing through or wanting to stick around a bit to fully explore the area. If cycling and walking is not your thing, then there are plenty of sites to see within a very short drive by car. The remains of Wallingford Castle which was the first Norman castle to be commissioned by William the Conqueror is only 2 miles away. The historic village of Ewelme with the oldest continually functioning Church school (founded 1437) in England is also 2 miles away. Henley is 15 minutes by car but there's also a regular bus between Henley and Wallingford. We have a range of local maps in the lodge showing all the walking and biking paths in the area, from short walks to full day hikes and trails. We are situated less than a mile from the Ridgeway National Trail which is a 85 mile mostly off road trail across the Chiltern Hills and Berkshire Downs. There is a dense network of bridle ways and footpaths linking historic towns and villages for you to explore. The lodge is close to both Wallingford and Henley with many gastro pubs in between. The area is steeped in history with Bronze Age hill forts, villages with Roman ancestry, Saxon earthworks and Norman castles and churches. There are farmers markets, regattas, music and art festivals, car and steam rallies all happening throughout spring, summer and autumn within a 10 mile radius. Henley Royal Regatta is perhaps the most famous followed by Henley Festival but the likes of the Wallingford Blues and Beer festival presents some interesting niche activities to entertain you. • Lovely cosy well-equipped space. Plenty of maps and walk suggestions as well as games and jigsaws for rainy days. Easy to do as a car-free break. Very homey space with everything we could want - thanks for the chocolate and marmalade!

  • We had a great weekend at the Eco Lodge and Tim was very helpful in every way, even sorting my flat battery when we were leaving. It was a very clean and a welcoming Lodge with all the amenities you would like. The bonus of Sky TV to just make it even better for the weekend football. Tim has some very interesting stories to tell and we were very impressed with the Eco Lodge and how it was constructed. Very warm and cosy... Thanks again Tim, great weekend. we will be back in the Summer for sure.

  • The annex is a really great place to stay. Quiet, peaceful location. Lots of room, everything you'd want, lashings of hot water and a really comfy (squeak-free!) bed. This wasn't my first stay, and it won't be my last!

  • Spotless apartment in lovely setting, really enjoyed the view and log fire especially! Arriving in rain and dark a little tricky to find but it's worth it! Really quick communication from Katie to any queries. Recommend Bull and Butcher for food just be careful about availability of taxis and be prepared for price (given they're coming from High Wycombe).

    Marianne2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • If I could give Katie's place 10 stars, I'd give it 12! The cottage is such a babe! It's spacious, well-looked after, cosy, welcoming and just the perfect place for an escape to the countryside. I highly recommend Katie's cottage to will definitely stay again!

    Aljona2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We were actually a little surprised at how big the place was, as we were expecting a slightly more compact area. It is delightfully located with very very quick access from the motorway and yet a plethora of walks around with wonderful options for food as well. Katie was brilliant. Offering help, advice and a personal touch without being too encroaching. Highly recommended!

    James2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Katie's beautiful house is surrounded by gardens and scenery that looks straight out of a postcard. So peaceful and comfortable, we enjoyed day trips to many lovely nearby towns and relaxing by the fire in the evening. Can't wait to visit again in the future!

  • Lovely and spotlessly clean. Felt bigger than it looked in the pics. Hosts lovely. Comfortable and big bed with nice view of garden and little chairs outside. We were not sure if we could drink water from bathroom tap so would suggest take some bottled water. Nice yogurt supplied with breakfast. We had a really nice stay! Thank you.

  • Charlotte’s place was fantastic and perfect. Really nice touches, lovely country location. Charlotte’s communication was excellent and very prompt. Susan greeted me with a smile, showed me everything I needed to know and was great. I had such a good night’s sleep, the bed was so comfortable and the room (newly renovated) was really cosy with everything I needed. I just wish I had reason to stay here for more nights. I would highly recommend this place. Peter

  • Beautiful location and outstanding hosts. Really enjoyed my stay.

    Molly2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Charlotte’s place and were made to feel very welcome throughout! The location is lovely being nestled in the woods and surrounded by walking trails. We didn’t have a car however this wasn’t a problem as a bus goes through Nettlebed. The property itself is very cosy and it was great being able to use the kitchen. A particular highlight was using the hot tub in the evening! Overall we would definitely recommend staying here!

  • We had a lovely stay here. It's a little tricky to get to but worth it! Clean, comfy and very peaceful and we were made to feel very welcome. Would not hesitate to recommend this place for a relaxing evening

    Louise2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Charlotte was great on the communication/directions portion before our arrival. Then Susan took over as the perfect hostess during our stay. She gave personal tips about local sights and insights into local British community, which was one of our main goals in staying in an AirBNB in a village. Accommodatios were tops!

  • If you need to be in Henley on Thames then don't worry about the rest stay with Nicola. The ensuite room was delightful and the breakfast provided was more than was expected. The house is a twenty minute walk into town downhill all the way but would advise a taxi, if arriving from the station, as it is a bit of a hill to drag a suitcase up. Taxi fare was five pounds. I would have no hesitation staying there again in the future and wish Nicola well for future bookings.

I stayed for 4 nights as I was working at Stonor Park - James and Serena were really friendly, easy-going, kind and helpful and I felt welcome and relaxed in their home. The bed is really comfy and clean too and I slept like a log. Would definitely stay again.

A rural fully-equipped self-catering lodge built upon recycled tyre foundations and powered by the wind and sun at the rear of a rural business centre. The lodge is set in a rural location a few miles from the historic town of Wallingford. It has its own fenced garden with South-facing sun deck and views over open fields.
The lounge/dining room, bedroom and kitchen look over open fields to the south, with double French doors leading onto a sunny full-length deck. We have chickens, geese and sheep in the next door fields. The lodge has been designed to absorb any winter sunshine but is shaded throughout the summer months thereby offering a comfortable internal climate throughout the year. There is a small wood burner so the lodge is warm and toasty on those cold winter evenings, as well as energy-efficient infra-red heater panels in the bedroom and bathroom. The lodge has a large open-plan dining/lounge area, with a separate small well-equipped kitchen and a shower room leading off from the entrance hallway. The spacious bedroom with a large double as well as a single bed has double French doors leading onto the front decking. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, gas oven, microwave, toaster, bodum-style coffee pot & frother and a good selection of kitchenware and utensils. A wooden deck with patio furniture runs along the whole of the South-facing side of the building, looking over the garden and fields beyond.
This area is great for walking, cycling and visiting historic sites. The "Ridgeway" which is an 87 mile national trail, is about 3/4 mile away.

  • Really lovely, extremely well equipped flat in a very central and convenient location. Furnishings were stylish and comfortable, and the radiators kept us nice and warm on chilly March evenings. A very welcome touch was the provision of basic food items (bread, milk, eggs, butter, tea, coffee, cereal etc). Overall a great stay - highly recommended.

I didn't meet Eliot, but check in was very easy.

The room is in a house, high in the Chilterns, an area of outstanding natural beauty near Henley On Thames, 40 minutes to Heathrow and London and Oxford. A short walk has excellent views of the City of Oxford and the Oxford plains. The house is large with heating, a wood stove, tv and wireless broadband. Off road parking and a quiet location close to a large nature reserve. The full address is in the check in instructions. I do have another room with a single bed available by arrangement.
The room is an exceptionally quiet area at night and many have commented on how well they sleep. It is also easy access to the M40 which means that London and Oxford are in easy travelling distance. A car is normally required unless you do not mind the 30 minute walk to the bus stop which travels between Henley on Thames and Wallingford. Henley has a train station and Wallingford has a regular bus run between Oxford and Reading
This is a rural area with plenty of walking to woodland and a large local nature reserve. Cycling is popular in this area as is horse riding.

The Hoppy Annexe is a brand new self-contained space, set in a little garden on a peaceful road with free parking, a 15 minute walk down the hill to Henley town centre. It is ideal for either a single person or a couple - there's a standard sized double bed, ensuite bathroom with shower and a small kitchenette. Beautiful countryside walking routes are just a minutes away and Henley town centre, with its shops, cafes, restaurants and river front is within easy reach.
On arrival at the address, you can knock on the door of the main house - we will be there to greet you and show you to your accommodation. The Hoppy Annexe has private access through a garden gate. Once you are settled, you can come and go as you please. We will provide you with tea & coffee facilities and some milk for the fridge (let us know if you need a particular type - the convenience store stocks all kinds, including vegan). There are always some cereals in the cupboard, and we also provide a few other little extras to make you feel at home. The kitchenette conists of a sink, a toaster & kettle, a microwave, a small fridge-freezer and a washer - there is no dryer but the laundrette is just around the corner or you can use the washing line in the garden if you prefer to dry outside. There is a portable air conditioner available in case of a heatwave (they sometimes happen), and underfloor heating in the tiled floor keeps the Annexe cosy in the colder months. There are plenty of linens and towels in the drawers under the bed, and we've provided a variety of pillows. There is a TV with satellite, free wifi and there are USB charge points behind the bedside cabinets for you to charge your phone. If you'd like to spend an evening chilling, there is a TV with all with Freeview channels - we also have a Roku streaming device, so you can log onto your Netflix or Prime account. Alternatively, there's a DVD player with a small library of both popular and obscure titles.
The Hoppy Annexe is located in a very convenient place - there's a local grocery store, two takeaways, laundrette, gents' barber and bus stop to town just 1 minute away, if that. 10 minutes's walk away, you'll find the local leisure centre with swimming pool. Henley is popular with tourists as it is known for the annual Henley Royal Regatta, as well as several high profile festivals including the gorgeous black-tie Henley Festival, 80s Rewind Festival and superb Henley Literary Festival, when authors and celebrities decend upon Henley for talks in a variety of intimate venues. Henley is a lovely place to visit outside of festival times as well - it's popular for river walks, antique hunting and art galleries. It is also home to the River and Rowing Museum set in the picturesque Mill Meadows park, which hosts interesting and varied exhibitions. We have our own 3-screen Cinema, the Regal - just behind Waitrose and one of the oldest theatres in the UK, the Kenton. Henley town centre is easy to reach by walking down the hill or taking the bus (half-hourly). There you will find a large number of cafes including all the big names you can find in any town, but we recommend one our many independents, such as Hot Gossip, Drifters, Chocolate Cafe or Buendia, which are the first choice with many of the locals. Very recently, 'H Cafe' opened in Market Place - this is the first cafe (with click & collect facility) that Harrod's has opened outside of its iconic Knightsbridge store. For beer lovers, you can take part in the Henley Ale Trail which takes you round the Brakspear's pubs, or book a beer school at Lovibonds, Henley's Craft Brewery - the one-of-a-kind Lovibonds tap room often hosts live music and even open mic events, and is home to a community of mountain bikers who ride through the Chilterns every Sunday morning, come rain or shine. Henley has a number of excellent restaurants, but for a real taste of Henley, we would highly recommend hiking or cycling to one of our many lovely pubs in the countryside for a pub lunch.

They do not have access to your accommodation and do not come out to the common areas in front of the house or the driveway unless they are on leads.
The village is small and quiet. The local pub, the Five Horseshoes is a 10 minute walk down the road or a 2 minute drive. There is a large common about 5 minutes walk from the house for walking, jogging or flying your kite. There are public bridleways and footpaths to explore. There is no public transport to the village so you will need to have your own transport.
  • AMAZING!! The cottage was beautiful and in an amazing location for walking. The fresh eggs were beautiful and tasted fantastic would recommend!

  • Gorgeous little quiet place out in the country. Fully equipped kitchen with table downstairs with nice bedroom/lounge upstairs with mini ensuite. Bed is really comfortable and blackout blind on velux above bed :) 2 little chairs in front of very small tv with freeview - was adequate but we would have liked a sofa or bigger tv to watch from bed & netflix! Next time we will bring laptop. We would love to stay again. very peaceful and private which is what we were after. Yummy home made bread and jam and own chickens eggs! thank you.

  • Lovely hideaway near a great local pub with good food. Good area to explore, wish we were there longer but would thoroughly recommend.

    Heather2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • A glowing recommendation from me. I loved staying in this property as it was incredibly cosy and secluded. There were great walking trails nearby and the fresh eggs and bread were such a nice touch. Highly recommended.

    Andrew2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderfully secluded getaway. The property and surrounding area is incredibly peaceful, and there is the most amazing pub just down the road (9 min walk). Katharine and Dickie were lovely; quick responses, and very hospitable.

    Emdad2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the cottage as we went to a wedding in the local area. The location of the cottage is beautiful and quiet. We needed a slightly earlier check in which was accommodated for. It felt a little cold when we first walked in but realised the heating was on a timer so once we worked that out and put it on to suit us, it soon warmed up. The homemade bread and selection of breakfast options was a lovely touch. Communication was great and we would highly recommend.

  • A lovely spot in the Chilterns, John’s place is beautifully furnished, spacious and well equipped. Communication was excellent and check-in very straightforward. The area is peaceful and we were very well located for exploring this beautiful part of the countryside. A car is advisable for access, but we were given very clear directions so there was no problem finding the place. Highly recommend.

  • 2nd stay amazing place, stylish and clean. Only down side was when booked for a week rate was a lot cheaper. A 1 night stay incurs a 15 pound cleaning charge. But is by far and away best place stayed through Air BNB.

  • Stephanie's place is great? Its stylish lots of space, situated in a lovely village and a park and ride 15 min journey from oxford. Place was clean and stephanie's was the perfect host replying to any queries we had as soon as she could.

    Glen2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic apartment with everything we could have needed for our weekend away. Everything is new and high spec. Some noise but none of which was the hosts fault and ultimately the apartment is on a road so only to be expected and as others have mentioned. Stylish and extremely central with a great deli and pub nearby.

    Clare2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie’s apartment is lovely! The location is ideal, 20 mins to Henley and Marlow, and just down the hill from some lovely walks. Everything in the apartment is brand new and spotlessly clean. Definitely recommend!

    Katie2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie's place is clean as a whistle, fully equipped for cooking, and boasts a really comfortable bed. There are great touches throughout that were really thoughtful and made our stay more comfortable. It made for a lovely getaway. As mentioned there is a level of road noise but this did not come as a surprise. Overall highly recommended.

  • This is a great little hideaway, we went for a bit of time out and it was just what we needed. The space is immaculate a very high spec and well thought out. Great walks on the door step and lots of choice for eating out, but the cooking facilities in the apartment are good too. Only thing that was a slight irritation for us the first night was the noise from the hot water tap as it maintained it's temp - but didn't really notice it the next evening. Tracey is a fantastic host, great communication and makes you feel very welcome. Thank you :)

    Lorna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t recommend highly enough, everything about the Lodge is perfect. Some really nice little touches too, Tracey is a very considerate host. Spotlessly clean, very high spec and really cosy. Perfect for a romantic weekend.

    Andy2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Tracey’s place was perfect for a few days of peace and quiet out of the city. Gorgeous place with all the accessories you could want (smart tv, sonos sound, fully equipped kitchen and some breakfast items ready in the fridge!). Tracey also gave us loads of great recommendations for walks and pubs in the area. It was a fantastic place to stay!

    Lila2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Tracey’s home is absolutely amazing - we loved staying here. All of the facilities are high quality and it is spotlessly clean. The apartment is large and comfortable and exactly as shown in the pictures. There are lots of lovely local pubs nearby. We will be back again. Tracey was welcoming and very kind. We really appreciated the breakfast items and local recommendations in the welcome book. Thank you, Tracey.

    Sophie2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very Stylish Property This property is outstanding, very clean lots of attention to detail and very cosy. The area is also excellent for walking and lots of good Pubs for food, we ate at The Unicorn and it was very welcoming warm on a cold winters night and the family who owned it were very obliging, the food was excellent. We would stay here again definately. Tracey is lovely, very knowledgeable and helpful.

    Paul2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Tracey was a fantastic host and was happy to oblige every request, always on hand if we needed anything from facilities to local tips and recommendations. Every touch had been considered and made our stay very comfortable. Tracey offered great advice and tips on local pubs, restaurants and walks which meant we were never short of something to do. Lots of home comforts within the lodge itself and it was great to have access to Sonos for music, Netflix and Sky for entertainment and breakfast consisting of juice, bread, eggs, cereal and milk was a lovely touch.

    Harry2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot begin to explain how amazing our stay was. The most beautiful place and just all round lovely. I would highly recommend to anyone. The flat has everything you need and more. I will definitely be back to stay again. Thank you! x

A farm cottage positioned on the Hammonds Farm estate, the cottage has old feature doors and a rustic feel, full of contemporary art work. A place of peace, creativity, respite and retreat. The room is a good size, with a double bed and a sofa within the room. The room is self contained and feels peaceful. The property is surrounded by woodland, nature and horses, please see 'distances' to and 'from' towns etc. the room suits a person working in the area.
The space is full of original art work, the room has a very natural private feel. The space is larger than the image as one wall is at an angle. The room is very accommodating and self contained, overlooking fields and woodland. A great variety of birds can be watched from the window.

Small double bedroom with comfortable double bed. Bathroom/shower across the hall with priority use. TV, Wifi and coffee/tea making facilities. Additional bedding for hot/cold weather. One mile from Henley town centre. Continental Breakfast included, in the dining room by arrangement. Henley is famous for the Royal Regatta, Music Festival & Rewind and has many excellent restaurants and pubs. Greys Court, Nuffield Place and Cliveden are nearby. Good local transport.
The bathroom is not en-suite but you have preferential use.
Henley has a lot to offer visitors. Many people are visiting for a social event, work, or Tough Mudder, but it is also a great place to stay to enjoy the river (River & Rowing Museum) and the wonderful surrounding countryside which is within easy reach.
  • Wonderful host! Very accommodating

    Jessica2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Nicola is a very welcoming host & an interesting person to talk to having lived in both the Middle- East & Greece in the past. The bedroom was comfortable, the bed linen & bathroom spotlessly clean, and the breakfast (a choice of good quality cereals, yoghurt, plus toast & real coffee or tea, juices etc) plentiful. As others have said, nothing was too much trouble & Nicola accommodated my slightly earlier than expected arrival with grace. For those who want to be able to lock their room, all the bedrooms have this facility although I felt perfectly safe & secure in Nicola's house. My bedroom looked out onto trees & fields & is about a 5 minute drive to Greys Court & about 10-15 minutes to Nuffield Place (both National Trust & well worth a visit). Thank you Nicola.

Walking distance (0.4 miles) from Henley's train station , and in close proximity (0.6 miles) to the town-hall square with its cafes, bars, & restaurants. Experience proper sleep in a new and luxurious, all-natural, Hastens Maranga bed in a quiet Henley road. Enjoy homemade sourdough bread, homemade jam, butter, tea or fresh ground coffee for breakfast. Take advantage of hi-speed wifi and free parking. I also offer a bread-making experience day (see profile) - a great way to de-stress.
Location, location and location: The space is a shortish, flat walk from the train station and town-centre attractions yet is also in close proximity to Mill and Marsh Meadows - fantastic walking areas by the Thames. A little further upstream (reached by walking through Marsh Lock) is a hidden 'beach' popular with open-water swimmers and residents in-the-know: Marsh Lock - https://wildswim.com/marsh-lock . The house itself: Bright and airy Henley townhouse with large, secluded garden, ideal for relaxing, table-tennis, chess, or reading a book. The beds: Guest bedrooms have Hastens, all-natural beds (fresh from the new show-room in Notting Hill) to help ensure a good night's sleep. The Maranga is 160x200cm, the Superia 180x200cm. The bathroom: The bathroom includes a large bath with shower, a separate shower, and wide wash basin for two. The breakfast: Home-made sourdough bread. I make sourdough bread and offer a complementary continental style breakfast comprising a basket of organic bread; butter; Bonne Maman/ homemade jams; tea, and coffee.
Henley has some lovely walks along the river as well as a good array of shops, cafes and restaurants. I particularly like walking over Marsh Lock and swimming in the river when the weather is fine.

A charming 1920's house conveniently located in the centre of the village of Nettlebed, away from the main road and incredibly peaceful. In the village there is a cafe, shop, and pub all within walking distance. You can take amazing walks right from the house, two brilliant pubs each about 45 mins walk. Henley, Wallingford & Watlington are all within easy reach. We offer two rooms - a Double and (see separate listing) a Twin. We do have a harmless Labrador but can keep him away if preferred!
A light and airy 1920's house in a very tranquil setting. The village of Nettlebed is ideally located for exploring the local area with easy access to Reading and Oxford. We are very near to the Ridgeway and other great walks.
Beautiful countryside with lots of walks available, also great for on or off road cycling as long as you like hills.
  • Lotte is a perfect host. She made us feel completely relaxed and at home in her lovely house. The breakfasts were amazing and the location excellent. She has a great knowledge of the local area and was happy to recommend places of interest to us. Spotlessly clean and a paradise for book lovers. Would love to return one day and can recommend to other travellers.

  • Lotte was both welcoming and helpful, whilst respecting our privacy. We could not fault our stay. In the inclement weather there was a large guestroom downstairs in which to relax. Breakfast was very good with lots of fresh fruit. With birds, including kites, flying overhead and a pretty garden it was peaceful place to stay for Chiltern exploration. Recommended.

The location is very quiet / peaceful and feels very rural, despite being within a short distance of the main roads to Henley and Watlington. Lotte also, very kindly, offered us a lift back to the Ridgeway. Top service.

  • Lotte was great to us! Her house is really lovely, and we made use of her garden on a sunny August day. Nettlebed is a quiet village but very close to Henley. • My boyfriend and I were in Henley for the weekend for a wedding at Leander and Mia’s cabin was the perfect place to stay. Despite the cold weather the cabin was lovely and warm, as was the welcome we received from Mia. She kindly offered for us to use her home as a thoroughfare on Saturday morning so that we didn’t need to go down the muddy track in our wedding finery but we just donned our wellies instead -albeit that our unconventional outfits got some strange looks from the local dog walkers! Mia also allowed us a slightly later check out on Sunday morning to allow for potential sore heads -something which my other half needed and very much appreciated! I’d highly recommend a stay in the cabin and would love to come back again in warmer weather. Thanks a million Mia & Paxton x

  • Great location and responsive host. The cabin is basically a detachment from the main house. The entrance to the cabin was a bit rough for wintertime. The rain floods the path leaving a mess to cleanup later. Mia was gracious in letting us use an alternate entrance/exit for check-in/check-out.

  • Mia’s place is a blueprint for how to host on Airbnb. The cabin is new, stylishly designed and decorated, warm, welcoming, and has everything you would need for a small break. It’s clear the hosts are well travelled because there are touches that my wife and I thought were excellent - Things that you would occasionally get while staying away somewhere, but can’t guarantee. Everything has been thought of and made our trip memorable. As far as communication goes, second to none. 5 star in every way.

  • Had such a great stay! The place was exactly as pictured, maybe even better. Stylish house with great facilities, comfy bed, great shower and cooking facilities. Thank you for our stay!

    Beth2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Mia’s place is sparkling clean, comfortable and stylish. It’s newly done and a joy to stay in. Mia included lots of thoughtful touches like coffee, croissants for breakfast and really nice body wash. We would definitely stay again when we’re in Henley!

  • The cabin is a nicely decorated and comfortable, cosy space. I stayed overnight for work and it was much better than a hotel room! You can take a nice walk easily to the town. Mia was a warm and welcoming host. Recommended!

    Sarah2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great few days at Mias place, it was everything we expected, 20/25 min walk to town with great shops and restaurants. The place was very clean and tidy and lots of space to enjoy a few days away, everything that Mia advertises. I would highly recommend to anyone. The only thing I would point out was the walk to the cabin is up a mud path which is dimly lit, there are tree roots that you could trip over. We were okay as the weather was sunny and dry all the time we were there, I would imagine if it gets wet and muddy it wouldn't be so good. Apart from that it's 5 stars all the way. Thank you Mia for a lovely stay.
