We will greet you on arrival but will leave you to enjoy your stay. We run the Architectural and Interior Design showroom on the ground floor. Hop on a bus to Fen Drayton’s famous nature reserve and visit the myriad of historic and picturesque villages in the the area. St Ives sits on the river Ouse with a pretty quayside and excellent independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. There is a carpark directly opposite the pod. We are a 2 minute walk to the river and shops of St.Ives. It is just a ten minute walk to St Ives’s famous ‘Guided Busway’, where regular buses will whizz you into Central Cambridge in less than 40 minutes

Best suited for two adults on the comfortable double bed and up to two children on the bunk beds. It has an en-suite shower room as well as a mini fridge. We do not serve breakfast but coffee and tea and a few more essentials such as milk, bread, butter, jams orange juice and cereals are provided on arrival. We had a lovely stay at the Garden House, perfect for our short stopover - it was just what we were looking for. Spacious bathroom and comfy bed, with all the kitchen amenities we needed. The garden itself is beautiful and very peaceful, we enjoyed having our morning coffee in the dappled sun light. Penny was very friendly and responsive to any queries we had. Would highly recommend!

Such a beautiful place to stay, the grounds and surroundings were stunning. So peaceful and had everything we needed. Only a 15 min drive to Cambridge and was nice to stay a little bit further out to appreciate both the countryside and the town. Was a lovely weekend, thank you! xx

The house and facilities are precisely as described. The local public house and general stores are recommend. Swavesey is a village set with clear access routes to drive into and around Cambridgeshire. The guided bus route is an asset to get to Cambridge and local towns. Local walks have access to wetland parks.

The Old King Bill

This B&B is a wonderful addition to the village. My family lives locally, so we knew the Old King Bill years ago when it was a pub. The restoration of the listed building is outstanding, and the apartment is charming. The photos show it off well, but we still oohed and ahhed happily when we actually went inside. Karen has made the place feel both spacious and cosy. It's very comfy and homely with just the right amount of luxury – traditional styling plus all mod cons in the dinky kitchenette for a longer stay! We definitely plan to stay here again.

we spent a lovely week in Nicola's cottage in Madingley. the park and ride for Cambridge was easy to get to and there was a choice of nearby supermarkets. we also enjoyed the lovely walks around Madingly Hall. the cottage itself was very well appointed and comfortable. i would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay close to Cambridge.

John was very responsive and helpful- he kindly supplied BBQ equipment for our stay so that we could enjoy the patio area. There is a booklet John has put together with details of local history and recommendations. A few thoughtful drinks and snacks were waiting for us when we arrived and John was very clear in his instructions on accessing the property, so that went smoothly. Sadly we weren't around when John knocked to introduce himself, but the whole weekend was very enjoyable and peaceful. Would recommend. Very clean and homely.

'The Hideaway' - Cosy, modern annexe

A great place to stay. Easy to find, just off the A14/M11 and easy access into Cambridge. So may extras including bread and milk, spreads ad the place was spotless. Add that to a booklet full of simple clear instructions as to how everything works ad what procedures to follow ad you find you are in an ideal location. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and we really enjoyed our stay.
