Places to stay in Crystal Lake Township
Bayside Cottage is a very comfortable cottage right in the downtown Frankfort residential area. It is just a short walk to Lake Michigan, Frankfort Beach, and Betsie Lake as well as downtown Frankfort and its lovely shops and restaurants. With 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and 1750 square feet of floor space, it comfortably accommodates up to 10 adults. The cottage has a cute front porch and a private backyard with a back porch, large back deck, and bonfire pit.
The Agape Bayside Cottage is a very comfortable, cozy, bright, and family-friendly vacation rental cottage to stay at while enjoying a nice family vacation in northern Michigan. The house has been extensively remodeled within the last 10 years and it has a bright, beautiful, and modern design that features a considerable amount of lightly-colored woodwork and a large number of windows that provide exceptional natural lighting and a relaxing, beachy, lake-effect feel to the home. The cottage has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and is 1750 square feet in size. It can sleep up to 10 adults. The living room has a sofa (that opens up to provide a second bed), two large and comfortable chairs (great for relaxing after a day at Crystal Mountain), and a flat-screen television with cable. The cottage also includes free high-speed WiFi. It has a beautiful, modern, and highly functional kitchen that includes a gas range (cooktop and oven), microwave, coffee pot, crockpot cooker, blender, toaster, numerous pots and pans, dishes, silverware, and cutlery. In the large backyard, there is a gas grill, bonfire pit with chairs, and, on the the large back deck, there is an outdoor dining table with outdoor chairs. The house is decorated with various artwork, some of which is explicitly Christian in nature. In terms of bedrooms and bathrooms, one of the 4 bedrooms is located on the first floor. It has a lovely queen-size bed in it and it has its own private bath. A thick curtain in the entryway to the bedroom can be closed for privacy to shut off the bedroom from the rest of the house. There are three bedrooms upstairs, including a kids room that has 2 very cute matching twin beds in it. The other two upstairs bedrooms each have a comfortable queen-size bed in them. There are 1.5 bathrooms downstairs (each downstairs bathroom has a shower) and a full bathroom upstairs that features a large and wonderful Jacuzzi tub. One of the downstairs bathrooms also includes a very nice washer and dryer. As shown in the photos (all of which were taken in September, 2017), the vacation property is landscaped with beautiful dunegrass in front of the house, which adds to the relaxing "lake effect" and beachy feel of the home. Parking for up to 3 cars is available in the driveway and parking is also available on the street. There is a small garage at the end of the driveway which is available to guests to use for storage of kayaks, canoes, bicycles, motorcycles, skis, snowboards, snowmobiles, or whatever else will fit in the garage. The house does not have air conditioning, but it does have numerous ceiling fans and pedestal fans. Given these fans, the weather in northern Michigan, and the cottage's proximity to ever-cool Lake Michigan, air conditioning really is generally not needed to keep the cottage cool and comfortable. Central natural gas heating is provided for keeping the house warm and cozy in the winter. In terms of wheelchair accessibility, the cottage unfortunately is not very wheelchair-accessible and we would not recommend it for individuals in wheelchairs. For individuals in wheelchairs or other special needs, we recommend our other cottage in Frankfort, the Agape Leelanau Cottage, which is quite wheelchair accessible.
The cottage is located at 719 Forest Avenue (M22) in beautiful and historic Frankfort, Michigan, which provides excellent fishing, shopping, dining, hiking, biking, and sunbathing / relaxing on the shore of Lake Michigan on beautiful Frankfort Beach, which is only 0.6 miles from the cottage. This rental house is easy to find and is located right on the legendary M22. It is only 1 block away from Main Street and downtown Frankfort. Relaxing on the beach and enjoying Lake Michigan and the beautiful sunsets on Lake Michigan is probably the most popular activity in town during the summer months. The cottage is open year-round and is only 20 minutes from Crystal Mountain and the skiing, snowboarding, golf, ice skating, and other activities that are offered there. Spectacular Sleeping Bear Dunes is an easy 30-minute drive from the cottage and offers a wealth of outdoor activities including hiking, biking, and scenic drives. The beautiful and historic Point Betsie Lighthouse is only a 10-minute drive from the cottage. The cottage is also only 0.2 miles from the Betsie Valley Trail, which provides 22 miles of trails for biking, rollerblading, running, hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. Numerous other trails for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing are also available in the area. Kayaking, canoeing, and tubing are available nearby on both the Betsie River and the Platte River. Various vendors in the area such as Riverside Canoe Trips rent canoes, kayaks, and inflatable tubes. Sleeping Bear Dunes, Crystal Mountain, the Point Betsie Lighthouse, and Frankfort Beach are all open year-round, of course, and the hills, dunes, beaches, and Lake Michigan present their own special beauty during the icy winter months - you just need to dress very warmly when going there in the winter!
  • The house was clean and we enjoyed our stay!

  • We really enjoyed our stay here while vacationing in Frankfort. The house was very cozy and close to the lake, downtown Frankfort, and tons of hiking trails. Would definitely recommend!

  • This home was perfect for our family. The location was ideal for our day trips for hiking around the area and exploring the dunes. It is a nice walk from the house to the beach where we watched a spectacular sunset. The house was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. We appreciated having a crock pot so when returning from our hikes dinner was ready. Eric is a wonderful host and I would highly recommend this lovely cottage.

  • Great location within walking distance to Main Street and beaches. You can hear the cars though when sleeping... it is because of the great location being in downtown Frankfort... It was a cozy and warm house and bedroom were comfortable. Shops and pubs nearby. Everything was provided. we came In fall and it was windy and rainy and cold- It would have been nice if the stove or oven in the living room worked but it was very warm with the heater anyway. It was ideal f 2 family’s. We cooked and bbq worked great! Layout of the house is fantastic for 8 people on 2 floors. And our dogs were happy too! It was a cute cozy home. Thanks will come back to Frankfort. Check in was no problem it was nice to meet The owner in Person

  • Our weekend at Raymon’s place was fantastic. I would give it 10 stars if I could! The house was much better in person and very roomy. It was so clean and had everything we needed for a nice get away. We loved the living room/TV, the hot tub and fire pit along with everything else. We are already taking about going back again.

    Amy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Grandmas place was the perfect cozy space for a weekend getaway to crystal mountain. The hottub was a bonus and overall a great space!

    Shannon2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my stay here! The hot tub had a window with a beautiful view of the outdoors, and was the perfect winter getaway for me. The host, Raymond, was also very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely book again for future getaways :)

  • This was a great location for us. The kitchen is stocked with what most would want if preparing meals. Communication was awesome! Plenty of space for our party of four.

  • We stayed for a ski weekend at Crystal Mountain and had a wonderful time. The drive to Crystal took no more than 15 minutes. We were able to come home for lunch and relax before heading back to ski. The home is cozy and definitely has a "Grandma's House" feel. Hot tub was amazing. Would definitely recommend!

House is in Elberta, a tiny village on the shores of Lake Michigan; house is close to Lake MI (1 mile), Betsie River, Betsie River Trail, Dunes, and 1.5 miles from Frankfort. Good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friend (dog). The house accommodates 3 or 4 persons. One pet dog is allowable, after conversation with me. If you love the outdoors, this is heaven. Swimming, beaching, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, relaxing in beautiful, quiet garden space.
The house is 640 sq.ft. and has been lovingly remodeled and maintained. A fully stocked kitchen...all you need to bring is food and beverage. A small bathroom features both shower and tub...towels provided. Living room looks out into a beautiful front garden and features comfortable sofa and chairs...for your reading pleasure, there are bookcases to ponder. Both bedrooms are small, with very comfortable beds, one double-size bed and one queen size. Lots of closet and drawer space in each. There is washer and dryer for your use in utility room.
House is located on a side street in Elberta in a very quiet neighborhood. Walk 1-1/2 blocks and you enter Elberta Dunes Natural Area, a great place to hike with many trails leading to dunes and Lake Michigan overlook.
  • We LOVED this Garden Cottage. It’s quaint, cozy and everything you would want in a small Northern Michigan town. There are plenty of trails, nature preserves and beaches extremely close by. Frankfort is about a 3 minute drive. The cottage itself has been preserved well and has many unique and whimsical touches. Sue has a great library of books and cookbooks-we has fun looking through them and adding to our “to read” lists. Sue was so kind and responded to our questions quickly. She left us some homemade canned salsa, local maple syrup and garden fresh garlic bulbs as a welcome gift. So thoughtful! We will definitely stay here again, it is a wonderful place!

    Jennifer2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Sues house is such a lovely, peaceful place with an adorable little garden to sit in the sun and have some coffee and cookies. There are nice trails nearby. We tried the green point trail with really nice outlooks and a beautiful beach. Canoeing the platte river was also fun and its not far to the sleeping bear dunes. Elberta has several restaurants and the farmersmarket on thursdays is perfect to get some local fruits, vegetable, cheese, bread, cookies... we highly recommend this place and would definitly come back if it wasnt so far from our home in Berlin, Germany ;)

    Ramona2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy garden cottage with a great location! Be sure to check out the farmers market Sue puts on!

    Mark2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is comfortable and surrounded by flowers (the outside spaces are lovely. Awesome location and kitchen is easy to cook in. The beds are comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet. We had a wonderful stay.

    Tracy2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful home in a wonderful small lakeside town. From Sue's, walk one block into a park of rolling meadows and wooded dunes to overlook Lake Michigan. Walk 4 blocks for restaurants, music, the head of the Betsie River Trail for walking, biking bird watching and more. Frankfort is just across the bridge for shopping, library, groceries, restaurants, brew house, a lighthouse, beautiful beach and much more. Not to mention all the boating, sailing and watersports available. A heavenly place to visit with a home away from home waiting for you.

    Nancy2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Sue’s place was such a cozy, comfy, cottage. Her gardens are beautiful and I enjoyed sitting outside with a cool one after the day at the beach. The location is great. Very quiet but close to the fun spots in town. And of course a great nights sleep is always a bonus. The bed was very comfortable also. I love the area. My only complaint is that my visit was too short! I will return. Thank you Sue😊

    Debra2019-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Sue's place. Her gardens are fabulous and she had a lot of good insight into where to go that would work with our baby's stroller.

    Sophia2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Such a nice space centrally located to many outdoor activities! Frankfort beach was wonderful and the Elberta lookout made for AMAZING sunset photos! Sue had extra touches like fresh bread and strawberries from the farmers market! Highly recommend!

Guests have the loft all to themselves, a cozy bedroom and adjoining private sitting room to hang out in.. The living room dining room and kitchen are shared spaces. I enjoy decorating my place to provide a peaceful, relaxing, beautiful and positive environment. The bathroom is downstairs, in which the toilet and sink are only used by the guests, but the shower and laundry will be shared with myself. You must be good on your feet as the top of the stairs narrows, and it's without a railing at that point. I have two small/medium dogs, Who I have joint custody with so they may or may not be here. Just take a minute when you arrive to make friends, and you’ll get along fine. I have recently adopted two adorable kittens. There is a fenced in back yard, picnic table and small fire pit. ( you may use responsibly for a small campfire)
My cute & modest home is in the tiny city of Frankfort, just down the street from stormcloud brewery and tasting room where there is usually a food truck in summer. This is near the bottom of gateway hill in a tucked away quiet part of town. (My neighbors are mostly offices.) Frankfort’s great restaurants, shops and Beach are all within 1.1 mile. (Including the stormcloud original restaurant & brewery) The house two blocks off of the famous M22 scenic drive and 5 miles away from beautiful Pt Betsie lighthouse and beach. Drive north along M22 and visit world famous sleeping bear dunes! The Betsie Valley trail system is just five blocks from my house a great place to ride bikes or take long walks. Gorgeous crystal lake is just 2.5 miles away. Crystal Mountain ski and golf resort is about 16 miles away. If you like charming towns and spectacular nature you will love it here! Our area is amazing in all four seasons!

GREETINGS, an epic facelift of 670 Crystal Ave, results in a hopeful SALE in 2020 market, starting in March. I will only take reservations 30 days, at a time...This beloved woodland setting attracts an eclectic collection of people from all over the world! We're close to beaches, rivers and lakes with small town activities and great food. There is a comfortable and cooperative ambiance of this home. All travelers are welcomed!
Large wooden bed frame was the original owner's bed from the late 1800's. The McKinnon family grandparents ran this home, then on the 'wilds' of Frankfort, as a boarding house for the Car Ferry workers. The corner house across the street was also a boarding house but for lumber workers...story goes, there was NO intermingling...
Still Grinning is located on M22, our rural, 2-lane 'highway' @ 670 Crystal AVE, not Drive, and this location is within the city limits of Frankfort . It's a pretty quiet neighborhood, summer time is a bit less quiet, with fairly easy access and walk-abilty. Lake Michigan beach is just a 10 minute walk from the front door. There is often many different animals living on this 5acre plot...Deer, coyotes, raccoons and even skunks...Makes for awesome viewing!
  • My son and I travelled to Suz's place through a snowstorm. She had a great sense of humor and flexibility with checkin and my communications prior to and when arriving. Also, there is a wonderful housemate who was kind and helpful - My son developed a fever of 102.5 after a day of skiing. My medication I was travelling with was expired, so instead of dragging him out into the cold, the housemate, Daniel, OK'd me to leave him there, while I went out to get new meds. He actually offered to go instead for me - Superkind and helpful. My son also loved the shaggy dog, Ty, who loves to play catch with visitors.

  • Suz was a great host! I was really only there to sleep and shower. However, Suz was great about communicating regarding how to manage the temperature and she also told me a bit about the other AirBnB guest. I really appreciated that! Thanks for a great (and affordable) stay, Suz!

  • A pleasure and fun!

INTERNET • CABLE TV • OUTDOOR GAS GRILL • FIRE PIT • 5 BICYCLES • WASHER-DRYER • COFFEE MAKER • DISHES • MORE! 177 Narrow sits in a quiet neighborhood in Elberta with a short walk to Betsie Bay, just a half mile from the shores of Lake Michigan and one mile around the bay from Frankfort. Our 1200 square foot rental has a private back yard with a privacy fence that backs up to a wooded bluff, and is just 150 yards from Elberta’s waterfront park — a popular venue for weddings and events.
The house has a roomy main living space with a comfortable seating arrangement. The three bedrooms include beds of the following sizes: a queen in the master bedroom, a full size in room 2, and three single (twin size) beds in room 3 (a built-in bunk with an extra third bed). The dining table seats six people, and the bathroom includes a washer and dryer for your convenience. The kitchen is furnished with custom cabinets, a full-size stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, electric stove, coffeemaker, dishes and utensils.
The area is full of recreational outdoor opportunities and a number of good coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques and art galleries. In addition to typical amenities, the rental includes five bicycles for exploring the area. There are a number of good hiking trails in the area as well as beach access at several locations.
  • This did turn out to be a great location! This spotlessly clean and artsy house is located on the western edge of Elberta, Frankfort's sister city across the bay. The Elberta overlook and beach were just to the west, and Frankfort was just minutes away by car. Clark's photographs and artwork appoint most the walls in the house and made the house quite cheerful. Clark provided plenty of information on the house and the area and was easy to contact when needed.

A beautiful 28' Carver motor yacht located at the Betsie Bay Marina in Elberta/Frankfort MI. Why stay near the water when you can stay on the water? Lake Michigan access is less than a nautical mile. Kayak the Betsie River right up to your dock. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING CAREFULLY and know that this boat does not leave the dock.
The boat is for your enjoyment in port and does not leave the dock. A walk through of the boat: Step from the dock onto the covered rear deck area with deck chairs poised to allow you to watch the bay and the other boats coming and going. A ladder to the left enables you to climb to the fly bridge for a 360 degree panoramic view of the bay and a table with 4 bench seats. Enter the rear door wall and you will find the galley to starboard and the bathroom port. The bathroom has a macerating toilet and sink. It has an open shower (no enclosure, the whole bathroom is the shower). Many find the shower odd, but you have access to the marina bath house with many hot showers. The galley has a mini refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, two burner stove and a sink with hot and cold water. The galley is stocked with a basic set of dishes, cups, and utensils. Continue to the main salon with a nearly queen convertible sofa sleeper to the right the dinette that seats four on the left. Further down there is a nearly queen bed in the bow. Bedding and towels are included. SLEEPS 4 IN 2 BEDS WITH NO ROOM FOR MORE
Sleeping Bear Dunes are 20 minutes up scenic M22. Frankfort with all its dining, shopping and nightlife is less than 2 miles. Other near by activities include 2 pristine beaches, wineries, museums, alpaca ranch, Gwen Frostic historic home and print shop, hiking, biking, kayaking, stand up paddle board, pier fishing, u-pick fresh fruit, 2 movie theaters (one is a drive-in), way too much to list.
  • Lots of fun! Great experience!

    Zach2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying on this boat. The boat was clean and all systems were working. The shower at the marina office is nice, we used that instead of the shower on the boat. The marina office is just a short walk from the boat, and the bathrooms and showers are available all night. We were able to check in a bit early as well. Colleen was very nice and helpful, lent us a cooler, showed us the boat, and otherwise was great. The restaurant/bar next to the marina is nice, great bar and good food, and it really wasn't that loud on a Saturday night. We stayed here in mid September so the noise overall might have been less. The boat itself was cozy, it's not a huge boat, but it was clean, and all the systems were operating. Overall this was a great experience. The drive up to Sleeping Dunes is about 15-20 minutes. I would recommend this boat for two people.

  • The little blue was the perfect getaway for my family. Riding bikes to the stores, beach & town was so fun! The record player was such a great touch. Everything was so clean and smelled wonderful! They also had everything we could of ever needed. My seven year old thought the futon was perfect to sleep on. Thank you for such an amazing experience.. we will be renting the little blue again in the future!! ( ps. Comfy bed & pillows!)

  • The Little Blue House is a great stay. Great hosts, comfortable bed, clean and very comfortably decorated. The fully stocked kitchen and record player were an added bonus.

  • Great place to stay in Frankfort, perfect for two people. The bed was very comfortable, everything was spotless, and the kitchen well equipped; nice linens and personal care products were provided, and everything in the house was labeled and easy to understand. Back porch was great. Had fun with the records, did not miss the TV one bit. Recommendations were spot on (don't miss the Green Point Dunes trail or the Roadhouse restaurant!). Communication and check in were easy. Hope this place is available next time we are in town!

    Sandra2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren’s house is exactly as advertised, with wonderful little touches that made the stay easy. From the availability of the shampoo, q-tips, flossers, etc, it was a wonderful stay for our weekend. Like other reviewers, I would not recommend this place for people who aren’t comfortable in each other’s space. As I was there with my mother, we had no problem with the futon being in the common area and the bathroom being in the bedroom, but for some, this may not be the best arrangement. The house is super cute, though, and felt like a cozy home away from home.

    Michelle2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Just great! A darling cottage on a quiet street within walking distance of downtown and the beach. Nicely furnished and thoughtfully prepared. Very relaxing!

    Stephen & Beth2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect. Very clean, comfortable bed, easy self check-in, great location, no issue parking, big kitchen, access to laundry, lots of games, a record player (!), a welcome gift of local wine and treats, lovely deck. Like others have said, it's good for a couple or two people who are okay in each other's space. The bathroom is in the bedroom and the futon is not super duper comfy. We brought our little one though and a travel crib fit in the bedroom fine.

  • Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Little Blue House in Frankfort! It was the perfect size for my husband, myself, and our two-year-old son. The location was very convenient to the beach and all the local shops and restaurants. The house was clean and cozy. We especially enjoyed listening to the all the great records in the morning during breakfast, and also sitting out on the gorgeous patio at night, playing cards and having a glass of wine. A perfect little house for a couple or small family!

  • I’m so glad I chose the Little Blue House for our weekend getaway. The place was adorable and incredibly clean with a beautiful back porch perfect for morning coffee or an evening drink. I’d definitely stay there again!

The Breezy Nook is a family cottage, located in a quiet neighborhood in Frankfort. The local hospital is across the street, and it sits on top of a large hill, overlooking Lake Michigan. The cottage is over 100 years old, with wood floors and quirky features. It sleeps four comfortably and has a large backyard for cookouts and a fire pit.
The cottage is unique, it has a nice wrap around porch with a swing to enjoy the nice lake breezes. The kitchen has a lot of cooking equipment and a regular sized fridge. There are two bedrooms, one bathroom with an old fashioned claw foot tub. Its simply furnished, with a small tv and smart dvd player.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Well lit at night. Summer is busy in Frankfort and there’s a lot going on. The backyard has a fire pit and storage shed, with bikes and river rafts.
  • To say that we were pinching ourselves about how completely adorable & well-appointed is Breezy Nook is no exaggeration. Breezy Nook has absolutely everything that one could expect. It’s a shining example of the finest Airbnb experience on offer.. If our travels take us this direction ever again, it’s first on the list of places to land. Make it yours! — just not when WE’RE in town! :)

  • Heidi is a wonderful host. She is quick to respond and ensures everything is as it should be, but better. Would stay here again and recommend it. A relaxing and quiet location with ample porch and yard for kids. Felt like a Frankfort getaway.

  • This Airbnb is very quaint and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very responsive and caring. The town of Frankfort is very cute. Lake MI was beautiful.

  • This cabin was a huge hit with the kids! It was like a wonderful secret cabin with all the amenities to keep adults comfortable! I had to bribe them to leave to go explore the local area! We loved downtown SO much!! We are at three restaurants and they were ab fantastic. The beach was a blast! Make the beautiful drive up to the dunes. They are incredible. :)

    Austin2019-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Heidi is a great host. She's very responsive and thoughtful, including leaving fun surprises for the children. We visited in December this year, and Breezy Nook was decorated in the holiday spirit, adding to its natural warmth and charm. We always look forward to coming back.

  • If you're looking for a cozy cottage for a get away the Breezy Nook is exactly that. We stayed over a weekend and will definitely be returning. Heidi is amazing from the moment you book your trip through check out.

    Sarah2018-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Breezy Nook was cozy and inviting, with lots of colorful artistic touches AND a piano! Very comfortable for a couple or family who are close—second bedroom (two twin beds) is separated from living room by curtained doorway and is adjacent to the bathroom (but with a “real” door!-) We were in town for a funeral and basically wanted homey accommodations and this was perfect. Wish we’d had an opportunity to enjoy the porch and swing and the fire pit! Heidi was very responsive, a warm and helpful host.

  • My husband and I stayed at Caitlyn's place for a week in late August. This was our first time renting The Frankfort House although we've been to Frankfort several times previously, staying in various other locations. Caitlyn's "super-host" status is well-deserved. The cottage was perfect for our stay. It had everything we needed, and many thoughtful touches throughout the house. We didn't travel with pets, but there were also thoughtful touches available for those who do: food & water dishes, a line for staking out a dog if you're spending time on the porch, etc. The bed was comfortable, the house is clearly well-cared for, and the kitchen was well-equipped (for travelers that like to do a lot of cooking, we advise bringing your own spices, as salt & pepper were the only ones available at the house). On the first day we noticed the hot water level was not very hot & nearly ran out after one shower, and after inquiring with Caitlyn about this she replaced the hot water heater the very next day! This was truly exceptional responsiveness. The location is quiet, peaceful, and very low-traffic, yet still easy walking distance to the beach and downtown area (for two adults without small children). Also, in apology to the next guests in early Sept 2019: I am the one who broke the glass shelf in the coffee table and I am in the process of replacing it (so sorry). Caitlyn's response to this was so gracious. Overall we highly recommend Caitlyn's place, and we would not hesitate to rent the house again.

    Jessica2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Caitlyn’s place was perfect for our family. About a 10 minute walk to the cute town of Frankfort. The beach was beautiful and walkable for a bit despite the high water of Lake Michigan this year. Everything that we needed was provided. Our 2 college daughters joined us and tended to take longer showers which left them with cold water toward the end. Other than that, there were no complaints. The accommodations were clean and the beds were comfortable. Caitlyn responded quickly when we struggled with the new remote and smart TV trying to use Netflix. We would love to go back again!

    Brenda2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Frankfort house was just what we had hoped for for our family vacation. Caitlyn was super attentive when we had questions or issues and the nice house supplies and amenities were a very nice touch so we didn’t have to bring those items with us. Thank you Caitlyn!

Easy location to find as we are right on Frankfort Hwy. 3 miles from downtown Frankfort and Lake Michigan, only a 8 minute walk from Crystal Lake. Enjoy bicycle riding we are less than a mile from the paved bike path/rails to trails, 15 miles from Crystal Mnt. Entering your cabin you will enjoy a new memory foam, queen-sized bed in a private studio cabin. Featuring a kitchen, bathroom, air conditioning, and free fast wifi! Clean bed linens, towels, pots/pans, dishes/utensils provided.
Full disclosure potential guest must be aware that the cabin is more than 50 years old and sits on Frankfort Hwy. so there is a fair amount of traffic during the day. While traffic noise is significantly reduced in the evening during the summer months it can be a bit loud during the day. To reduce this noise we have installed double paned windows and hope the air conditioning and tv will minimize the noise intrusion. For most guest this is tolerable and acceptable for others unfortunately they failed to read this honest disclosure. We regret that not everyone will tolerate the traffic noise but there is nothing more we can reasonably do. Furthermore the door into the cabin is not a standard height so please take care to not bump your head. With that out of the way we warmly invite you to stay and enjoy our private studio cabin.
We hope you appreciate our cabin location beyond being so close to Frankfort/Lake Michigan, Crystal Lake, rails/trails bike path, Crystal Mnt, you could also take advantage of the Little River Casino 30 miles away, Sleeping Bear Dunes only 26 miles away, and Traverse City is 36 miles away. There is world class golf, fishing, hunting, sightseeing, kayaking, canoeing all near by. Our area was voted number 1 place to visit by US News and world report.
  • Randy’s place is in a great location. We may have used it at a point in time when shops are not open, but it is around some wonderful places to visit in Michigan if you are looking to be outdoors!

  • A small and cozy place perfect for a couple who wants to relax and get away from the city. The host were very quick responders and the place was very clean.

    Ivan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Communication was quick and hospitality was great. The place was small but cozy, which I liked. Being right off a major road the sound of traffic was minimal. Perfect place for a short stay to fish. Thanks!

  • The cabin is super clean, cute, and cozy with plenty of room for two people. Randy and Lesa were extremely quick to respond when I messaged them and immensely accommodating when there was a power outage due to weather. We weren't bothered by noise from the road, but light sleepers might want to bring earplugs. Overall, I would highly recommend this cabin and Randy/Lesa!!

  • This cottage worked out perfect for a 2 week stay in late March. Walks to the beach for sunsets are easy from this location and the bonfire pit came in handy for smores. Enjoyed the games and Netflix too! We got to add a bottle to the tree outside which was fun painting. Rachel and Mark are quick to respond!

  • We had a great time at the cottage for the weekend! The space was perfect for four adults and three teenagers, and the location was good. The cottage was very clean, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you might need. Beds were comfortable and it was nice to have extra blankets. We will definitely stay here again!

  • Excellent location for a weekend trip to Crystal Mountain with friends. The cottage was very cozy and oozed quirk! Rachel and Mark were very fast and easy to communicate with. We would love to come back for a summer stay!

    Abby2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the Quirky Cottage during a recent ski trip to Crystal Mountain. The cottage was 20 minutes from the mountain, which was convenient. Cottage was so cozy and decorated for Christmas! Lots of tourist info that was helpful! Owners take on a guest book is to design a bottle for their bottle tree in the backyard. Really cool touch! It snowed hard the day before we had planned to leave and the owners allowed us to stay an extra night, which was very hospitable of them. Plenty of plates, cups, pans, utensils in the kitchen. Nice table in dining room to have meals or play games. Furniture in living room and beds were comfortable. Loved the mud room so we could undress from our snow clothes and leave them in that area. There is a fire pit in the backyard, along with kayaks, beach chairs and a bike in the garage. We were here in December, but nice to have for the rest of the year. There aren’t a ton of dining options in Frankfort, but did check out Dinghy’s and Stormcloud Brewery. There were a couple shops to visit on Main St. There is a also a grocery store in town that we frequented often bc we ate several meals at the cottage. Beach was a 3 minutes drive away. Owners were super easy to communicate with and quick to respond. They were even out of state on vacation and there was no lapse in communication with them. We loved our stay at the cottage and highly recommend it! Cheers!

  • We were originally going to stay at Rachel and Mark's place in Frankfort but they had a very last minute issue with the water heater. They were going early to make sure the place was warm and ready for our arrival (Michigan got some really unexpected amounts of snow earlier in the week!) and Rachel called right away to let us know about the issue and right away offered another property in the general area that actually served our travel needs slightly better (and in Lake Ann, a place we had never been). The place is under their name and called "Vintage Lake House-Updated and cozy". They offered suggestions for restaurants and a beautiful covered bridge nearby that was fantastic for our families. The Lake Ann cottage was very spacious and kid friendly (we were 2 families with kids 9, 3, and 2 year old!) and we very much enjoyed our stay. The snow had been cleared from the driveway in preparation for our arrival, and Rachel was really really responsive with last minute questions about location. Would definitely stay at one of their properties again! And if you like running, there's a nice 4 mi loop that you can do in the main roads around their house!

    Sandy2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable living for my husband, our dog and me. The kitchen was fully equipped, comfortable queen beds with nice sheets, and nice touches with art and antiques that made the stay enjoyable. We walked to the town and beach. Cute, safe and quiet neighborhood. One night the stars were plentiful as there is little visual noise in this area. We went to Leland and Fishtown one day to experience the quaint town. Visited family in the area and ate at Fusion in Frankfort with good sushi. Would stay here again. Thank you Colleen and Kelly.

Also very much appreciate that it's pet friendly, and the yard was perfect to let our pooch run around. Also the downstairs/basement is a great little rumpus room with a pool table for hanging out/popping in and out of the action in the backyard.

  • Paula’s cottage is the perfect location! Frankfort is close by to go and explore and Traverse City is just 40 minutes away. The beach just across the road is beautiful, complete with chairs for relaxing and a fire pit! The cottage is lovely! The decor is pretty and the amenities are excellent! The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook/bake, if you’re planning some meals in. We really enjoyed our stay at Fox Crossings at Crystal Lake!

  • This is the perfect jumping off point for seeing the Sleeping Bear Dunes area, the surrounding towns (Frankfort, Empire, etc) are charming and have lots to do, and having beach access to Crystal Lake just steps away from the house was a delight. Perfect spot for a family or couple. Loved every little detail in the place! And Paula was a kind and thoughtful host. Definitely recommend!

The Maple Tree Cottage is an historic Elberta home welcoming all to nest inside the nostalgia of Americana charm. It continues to boast original hardwoods, built-ins, and a porcelain claw-foot tub and shower. With a front porch view of Betsie Bay, early birds may be inspired to indulge in a sunrise coffee to start their day. It's a fun bike ride or quick drive to the beach & restaurants in bustling downtown Frankfort, conveniently located just across the bay. Come stay with us!
Classic, thoughtful, and cute Americana charm. Brand new mattresses on all four beds. Plenty of board games, dice, cards, and outdoor space to play games in the backyard. The upstairs has an old school TV/VCR with lots of old VHS movies. Downstairs has a smart TV with free Wi-Fi. Enjoy spinning old L.P.'s on our lovely wooden Hi-Fi stereo. The kitchen is complete with a coffee pot, blender, toaster oven, popcorn popper, mixer, baking supplies, and pots & pans for all of your kitchen needs. We also supply an outdoor grill and two bicycles for your use. * Bicycles are stored in the shed. Please feel free to use the bicycles at your own risk as we will not be held liable for any accidents that may occur during use.
Our cottage is located directly across the bay from Frankfort, a popular port city on Lake Michigan. There are so many things to do right in the quaint village of Elberta! There are five restaurants within walking distance of the Maple Tree Cottage. The beautiful Betsie Valley bike trail is only a half mile from our front door! We have two bicycles for you to use (that we store in the shed), but if you need more, the Conundrum Cafe will happily rent bikes to you for as long as you need. This sweet little cafe is also a really nice morning spot to sit and have your coffee. Additionally, they offer free Wi-Fi to paying customers. If you love farmers markets, you've come to the right place! The Elberta Farmer's Market takes place on Thursday mornings and is one of the best in the area. Just a quick five minute walk from the cottage and you are there. :) There is also a farmer's market on Saturday mornings in Frankfort that plays host to an inspiring and diverse gathering of artists and vendors. Crystal Mountain Resort, Arcadia Bluffs Golf Club, Crystal Lake, and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore are all within a scenic half hour drive. There are countless sandy beaches and outlets nearby, of course. And if you love to hike, we have a handful of beautiful trails close by as well. Oh, and if you like to play basketball, there's a full size court one block away. So, we'll make sure to keep a basketball in the shed for your use if you'd like to shoot some hoops! Clearly, I could go on and on about this summer paradise that we are so grateful for and incredibly proud to call home! We hope you love it, too! :)
  • Stayed for a long weekend to check out the fall colors. The cottage is a great location to see M-22 and is a reasonable drive to Traverse City.

  • Cathy and Tim's place is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and has everything you need to cook your own meals. We got a kick out of using their record player and VCR! Such a nice space with plenty of room to stretch out and relax! And close enough to walk to a park, a beach, and at least 1 restaurant!

    Margaret2019-10-11T00:00:00Z

  • We had a great stay at this charming cottage! It was just the right size for our family of four (two younger kids). The vintage details were lovely and we appreciated the thoughtful and homey touches like record player, old vhs tapes, books and the kitchen had great coffee, spices, etc. We ended up driving to Frankfort most days for meals and the beach and explored sleeping bear and other great nearby towns.

    Elizabeth2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Cathy’s place is everything you hope for, just minutes from Frankfort, cute decor and lots of great local tips. We just had a short weekend stay but we did sleeping bear dunes, swam in crystal lake, shopped in Frankfort and had family pictures taken. Overall we had a great weekend!

    Catherine2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing place to stay! We came with our two small children. There were lots of fun little touches (games, movies, popcorn) that they loved and some nice amenities for us grown-ups too. It is walking distance to some great parks, playgrounds, and eateries and an easy drive to a number of great spots. Cathy also gives lots of great tips to enjoy the area. We definitely hope to come back some day!

    Kyle2019-08-17T00:00:00Z

  • Nancy's place was very clean and had all the necessary items for a nice week. Location is on the east side of downtown. Walking distance to stores, brewpub and beach. Would definitely stay again without any hesitation. Location in Frankfort makes it convenient to Crystal Lake in Beulah if Lake Michigan is too cold. About a half hour drive to Empire and start of the Sleeping Bear Dune attractions.

    Daniel2018-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy’s place is in a great central location. Very good value for the space. There’s some noise from the nearby car wash and power station but we enjoyed the upper deck a lot! It’s Frankfort, so pretty quiet, all in all.

Our place is uniquely suited to those seeking the best of both worlds--a quiet, natural setting a short distance from all the action. Perfect for a romantic getaway, quiet retreat or vacation, The Little House combines the peace of the country with easy access to Frankfort restaurants, shopping and the sugar-sand beaches of Lake Michigan. Relax on the deck, listen to the birds, or venture into town and beyond knowing that you'll have a welcoming, peaceful place to come home to.

The town: Frankfort's unique geography and cooler climate has attracted visitors for over a hundred and fifty years. A few details: The Little House is quiet, private and off the beaten path. The entire house belongs to you. Extra amenities in the full kitchen include organic olive oil, teas, coffee w/ coffee maker and mixing bowls. The bedroom includes extra pillows and blankets. The bath includes extra towels, shampoo, conditioner, soaps and hair dryer. In addition to the bed in the bedroom, the living room has a sofa that opens out to a queen-size bed. One can often hear a variety of migrating birds in the area, and the lack of ambient city light is conducive to stargazing on clear nights.
  • The Quiet Country Cottage was the perfect place to stay for our visit up north to see the fall foliage. We were able to visit Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and relax at the end of the day in the Quiet Country Cottage! Close to everything in Frankfort and Lake Michigan's sunset. Cottage has everything you need! We will definitely use again next year. Thank you, John and Camille, for allowing us to stay!

  • What a stocked home! Having sharp knives and a useful kitchen transforms any airbnb immediately. Had a great time, it's so peaceful and quiet... such comfortable lounge chairs inside, extra blankets available, cozy + plush nice towels... loved having the windows open listening to the storms. Super communicative hosts, easy check-in. Would totally recommend this place to stay. Thanks again!

  • What a great experience it was to stay in The Little House again. It has everything you need for a pleasant and comfortable stay. John is a great host and the property is unbelievable. Acres full of green grass, majestic trees and forest. I will definitely stay again the next time I’m in the area. Thank you for your hospitality John and Camille. Tom Faddis, Scottsdale, Arizona

  • The little house is sparkling clean with all the amenities you would find at home. I was impressed with the added touches of original artwork and real house plants. The front porch is perfect for a morning cup of coffee and breakfast, or relaxing with a good book. And you are just five minutes away from the lakeshore. It was a very relaxing stay. John and Camille were very accommodating.

    Debbie2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, quiet and private. Close to town and Lake Michigan, but felt like a secluded cabin deep in the woods! Well equipped kitchen and living area, just bring your food and baggage!

    Thomas E2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Relaxing, clean, and close to the beach.

    Zara2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay in "the little house"! Everything was clean and well-stocked--we were actually surprised at HOW well stocked it was! We actually could have brought less with us. The home and the yard was well-maintained, and our children loved exploring the outside areas and looking for bugs and listening for animals. Being so close to everything yet feeling so far away made this a welcome retreat. We hope to go back again some day!

    Jeanette2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute, comfortable and wonderfully equipped little house. Very private. We were concerned about it not having AC, but we did not need it even in early August. We would highly recommend it.

Experience a Frankfort summer from this beautiful historic house in the woods that is right in town! Built in 1902, this tastefully updated Victorian cottage is full of charm. A wooded lot & screened porch provide the perfect quiet serene setting for deer watching and star-gazing, yet it's within walking distance of the beach and downtown Frankfort. You'll love it!
Located ~0.6mi walk from both the beach and the shops on Main St. Probably most comfortable for a family of 5 but can sleep up to 7 with a very comfortable pull-out sofa in the sunroom which can be closed off to create a bedroom with en suite bathroom. There is a Pack n' Play available as well.
Frankfort Michigan is a very walkable, bike friendly community. The cottage is about a 0.6mile hilly walk from the boutique shops, art galleries, restaurants, and Stormcloud Brewery of downtown Frankfort. There are several places to rent bikes and water sports equipment. Also look for summer Farmer's Market, music in the park, Mineral Springs park and playground, and many summer festivals. Charter a fishing boat. Tube, kayak, SUP, or fish any of the nearby rivers. The Betsie Valley Trail connects joggers and bikers to Elberta and the Crystal Lake area. Both Frankfort and Elberta beaches offer some of the most unspoiled access to Lake Michigan anywhere. The Frankfort beach Betsie bay outlet has calmer water and is a good swimming place for babies and toddlers. After-dinner walks on the beach yield breathtaking sunset views. The Elberta Dunes natural area offers dune hiking trails. Sleeping Bear Dunes and the National Lakeshore are just north of Frankfort on scenic M-22.
  • Julia’s home was warm and inviting. Easy to find and great location. Charming place to stay with plenty of room for our group. Nice that there were some legos and children’s books for the younger people in our family.

    Laura2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very cute, very special cottage in a great area of Michigan! We stayed in late October, 2019, and the Fall color is fantastic! This excelled our expectations! Love the little details that made this cottage feel comfortable. We will definitely be back for another stay!

    Scott2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Julia and Russ are great hosts. When we first arrived at this cute cottage we couldn't get the heat to rise above 57, but after sending a message to them, they responded quickly and together we figured out the thermostat. We had heat, and it was toasty and cozy inside. This is an old house and we just love the character it has - wallpaper in the dining room, sunroom in the back, screened-in side porch, clawfoot tub in the bathroom, etc. There are a lot of deer in the area, and four of them decided to sleep behind the sunroom all morning one day. My 84 year old mom loved that. The stairs in the house are a little wonky, but mom was able to use them without any problem. Julia said the sofa in the sunroom is also a comfortable sofa bed if mom couldn't make it up the stairs. There isn't a television in the house (which was actually nice), so we put a puzzle together and read books one rainy day. There are lots of puzzles and games available. All in all, we had a wonderful time here. I wish I could get a blueprint of Bluebird Cottage and build it in Tennessee!

    Marilyn2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts were very kind, and the home was beautiful and charming. We enjoyed our stay and would reccomend to anyone!

    Justin2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Julia’s space was so warm and inviting. We had a beautiful time outside (even with the rain) but it was so nice to go into the cottage and just relax when we were tired. Our 2.5 year-old had plenty to do and loved that there was a little twin bed she could sleep in at night. We also enjoyed seeing the deer in the backyard and the fenced in front yard. We’ll definitely be back!

    Stacie2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cottage close to beach and downtown but quiet and secluded. Spotlessly clean. Warm, homely atmosphere with a gorgeous sunroom that will make you want to spend lots of time “at home.”

    Jacqueline2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • The house was lovely and closer to downtown that we imagined. It's nice that the grocery store is so close as well. Julia is extremely quick with responding to messages and the home was so welcoming and comfy. We can't wait to go back!

    Lacy2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful old home with great windows and natural space all around. Great for relaxing or a home base for outdoor adventures throughout Northern Michigan. Julia was quick to respond to all of our questions and needs. A great place for a getaway in the beautiful town of Frankfort.

  • Very clean and comfortable. Please read description as it does say no TV or shampoo. Heat worked great. Many people made mention of wine in the room but that wasn’t our experience so don’t expect it (we wouldn’t have drank it anyway but just wanted to note that). Great location for exploring the north west side of the state. Close to Crystal Mountain and amazing meadery/ciderery- St Ambrose Cellars. Perfect size for us but if you are on the larger side the bathroom may be a bit small. Price for cleaning seemed a tad steep but we usually strip beds and leave places very clean.

    Beth2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • We found this place to be close to Glen Arbor and Sleeping Bear Dunes, and what we found in Frankfort was a darling town with so much to do (sushi, micro-brews, and a picturesque beach) that we changed our plans to stay local. This quaint room was ideal, a brisk walk from everything. And Christine was very responsive, even bringing us something minor that was missing. It was clean, cozy, and close to all major routes!

This charming, little cottage home in the resort town of Frankfort, has been redone from top to bottom. The cottage offers all the amenities of home and is decorated with high-end accessories. The cottage is decorated in “ Uptown Funk”. I decorated my cottage with the intention of being my retirement home. We have family members that are allergic to dogs so no exceptions. Sorry!
Great place for two couples to stay while exploring the northern Michigan. The house was done for the perfect girlfriend getaway or two couples . We are 2 blocks from the walking and biking trail. We are close to bay and easy walk to our beautiful beach. One block from our only grocery store. Two entrances one in front with living room, bathroom and bedroom. The back entry goes to the dining room, kitchen with all new appliances and dishwasher. And the master bedroom has shower and nice TV. great for separated space and you and in-laws. Everyone likes that both bedrooms are private and you can not hear each other. We will do our best to make your stay special. Thank you.
Quiet, older family neighborhood. You will have a big beautiful yard to enjoy.
  • Loved this cute home! Very stylish, clean and homey. Will definitely stay again if given the chance!

  • Augusta's home i s fantastic for a week away from the hustle and bustle of the city! Set on a quite street just blocks away from the quaint town of Frankfort. In a 10 minute walk you are at Lake Michigan. Her home had all the amenities we needed to feel at home and relaxed. We were 2 couples and there was plenty of room. It was recently remodeled, super clean and bright with all of the large windows! I would highly recommend this as a great getaway!

    Roxanne2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute and clean, I would highly recommend .

    Kelly2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Augusta’s place was perfect for two couples- two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Most importantly, it was very clean. The house is cute, nicely decorated and appears to be recently updated throughout. Augusta responded quickly to my questions. It is a short walk to a grocery store and a park with the farmers market on Saturday. It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach along streets with beautiful homes.

    Pam2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house was just perfect, we couldn’t have asked for better amenities or location. We loved it!!!

    Veronica2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Augusta was a wonderful, attentive host! Her home truly is a perfect getaway in Frankfort. Located on a very quiet side street, it is only blocks from one of the most wonderful beaches In Northern Michigan and the downtown of charming Frankfort. We found the home not only sparkling clean but beautifully decorated and included all the amenities we needed for our stay. We highly recommend and would definitely stay again! 5 stars!!!

    Cathy2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this house—cute and super clean. Augusta is an amazing host. Great access to downtown Frankfort and Frankfort Beach! We’d stay here again!

  • Four of us were coming to Frankfort for a wedding and we knew little about the town before arriving. Augusta had everything we needed at the house and provided some brochures for nearby attractions to visit. The walkability of the house was one of my favorite things. We could get to the grocery store, restaurants, Lake Betsie, or Lake Michigan without needing a car. I would stay here again and I recommend this home to others.

  • Great house in a quiet neighborhood, super close to a beautiful beach- great for swimming and evening beach fires. Great for families, with a park within walking distance. The house was clean and well stocked and the internet was reliable (we had to do some work when we weren’t at the beach). The electronic lock was convenient- as long as you keep your phone charged! Rob and his wife are so nice and the neighbors were friendly. The cabbage shed is a great hangout for music drinks and food, there’s a good breakfast diner down the street, and the fish smokehouse in Frankfort was great (pick up chateau Fontaine wine there too). There’s a scooter rental place in Frankfort where you can rent hourly for a very reasonable price. Great place- would stay here again for sure.

    Nicole2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Rob is a wonderful host. Helpful, attentive to our questions in every way. The house is in a perfect location being close to Frankfurt and Lake Michigan beaches. Quiet neighborhood. Overall a quiet neighborhood with older homes. We are the only "new" construction home. Park/playground within walking or biking distance. Bike/walking paved trail near the house. Life Saving Station is within walking distance. (Popular wedding reception venue)
  • BEAUTIFUL house, and super duper fun. Very open, making it very homey and easy for bonding and communication with large groups! Also Heather is absolutely fantastic in making sure that everything is set to your needs!

  • The house was perfect for our group. We had 14 people comfortably sleep there - all in beds. It was a nice location. We easily fit 5 cars in the driveway. Heather was always quick to respond to my messages which was nice. Overall it was a great experience!

    Taylor2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The host is amazing. Very friendly, answered all of my questions promptly and thoroughly. She was very accommodating, we originally booked for an earlier weekend in October which ended up not working out and she graciously switched the weekend for us. It was a huge help and saved the party! The house was extremely clean and organized. There was plenty of space to fit all of us girls. The kitchen was fully functioning which was helpful so we didn't have to bring extra kitchen gadgets. The neighborhood is tucked back and quiet. There is a gorgeous view of the lake just at the end of the road. Perfect for a fall getaway to see the fall colors. The price was perfect for everyone's budget. All in all, we are more than satisfied with our stay and everyone agrees this rental was perfect!

    Autumn2019-10-20T00:00:00Z

Charming one bedroom apartment above a used bookstore in a Victorian house on the main street of Frankfort, one block from Lake Michigan beach. Within walking distance to restaurants, bars, movie theater, and shops in this picturesque resort city. If you are looking for perfection, this is not your kind of place. However, the price and location is right and all the basics are provided - clean separated spaces, towels, bedding, and wireless. Plus, pets are welcome.
New, comfortable futon bed in living room. Newer twin bed mattresses.
  • Fantastic location! Could benefit from updating but has all the basics. My wife and I enjoyed our stay.

    Michael2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • You cannot beat the location of this house. It’s proximity to downtown and the beach is a major plus. We were quite comfortable when we did find ourselves at the house.

  • Simple apartment in a awesome location with a really nice and accommodating host ! We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again in a minute :)

    Laurie2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was exactly what we expected, full of vintage quirky charm, with the bonus of an updated bathroom. It was completely comfortable even on a summer night. The town and location was beyond what expected on our first visit.. Christine's home is a block from the beach as described but it was a really great beach, especially safe swimming for children. Our first airbnb experience was smooth..Christine communicated all that was needed, checked in with us, and was available needed. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return.

    Kurt2018-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Prime location!! Easy 1-block walk to the beach, and downtown is right outside the door. Apartment is actually more spacious than I had expected! We traveled with our 9 month old. The living room has plenty of space for a pack and play, and a play mat and there was still room to spare. Keep in mind this is a quaint, vintage apartment (expect an "up north" cabin type feel). Not luxury, but clean and very cute.

    Shannon2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Chris's place this past weekend with our small dog. We couldn't have asked for a better location! The apartment is located within a few minutes walk from anywhere you'd want to go in Frankfort. The place is very quaint, and we appreciated being able to bring our dog along with us. Chris was a great host who communicated clearly and promptly. We hope to be able to stay here again in the future!

  • This place exceeded our expectations. The location was great and the view from the sun room was even better! The pictures don’t do this home justice. It is very homey and comfortable here and was easy to relax. I would recommend anyone to rent this place out at any time of the year. Jonathan was very attentive to anything we needed and respected our space with us being here. He let us use the bikes stored here which was perfect since it is a good biking or walking distance from town. All three of us here during this stay agree that this is a 5 star AirBNB.

  • Suite Baby James is a hidden gem in quaint Frankfort, and I almost hate giving a great review as it will book quickly once travelers learn how very special this adorable house is. The owners did not miss a thing when decorating and providing such special touches to make our stay so comfortable. We literally played games and read books the entire weekend, a TV was not missed in the slightest! We hated to leave but know that we will be back in 2020, already planning two trips! Thank you so much for a relaxing, comfortable weekend!

A beautiful 38' 381 Catalina classic Chris Craft motor yacht located at the Betsie Bay Marina in Elberta/Frankfort MI. Why stay near the water when you can stay on the water? Lake Michigan beach access is less than a mile. kayak the Betsie River right up to your dock. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST and note that the boat does not leave the dock.
This boat is a beauty, designed to live aboard. She is perfect for 2 couples, honeymooners or families of up to five guests. A walk through of the boat: Step from the dock onto the rear landing area is a large upper canvased deck with wrap around couches that seat 7 comfortably and allows wonderful 360 degree panoramic view of the bay and access to stunning sunrises. On the bow of the boat is a sun bench with cushions so you can catch some rays and watch other boats coming and going. Enter the rear door or side doors and you will find the main salon with a single sized convertible love seat sleeper, coffee table, swivel chair and breakfast bar with stools. Large windows with full curtains allow bright sunlight or full privacy. Also in the main salon is the galley. It has a refrigerator/freezer, three burner stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and sink with hot and cold water. The galley is stocked with a basic set of dishes, cups, pots, pans, and utensils. Coffee, tea cream and sweeteners are included(We do not supply any other food items). Elberta is the quite side of the bay with 2 taverns, hair salon spa, 2 restaurants and a small breakfast joint. You will want to go to the top of the Elberta bluffs for stunning sunsets over Lake Michigan. Marina life is like living in a very small community. Most of our customers are here for the entire season and I think they are very friendly. Don't be afraid to talk and ask questions as they will be happy to oblige.
  • The yacht was much better than our expectations. It was really clean and well maintained. The hosts were really helpful and courteous.

  • Our second time staying at the Marina. We loved the location. Enjoyed biking along the Betsie River Trail and a campfire in the evening. The hosts are super friendly and helpful.

  • The hosts are vary nice and went above and beyond what they had to do to help us out. This is the second time we have been rented from them and it keeps getting better!

  • We had no idea what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised, the boat was perfect for us. Close to all the area sights, peaceful, comfortable and Ed and Kolleen were so friendly and helpful. There is a great picnic area with a charcoal grill, a fire ring and horseshoe pits that would be nice for a group gathering. We used the galley for a few meals, it was convenient, clean and easily accessible. Nice to have the two bathrooms on the boat, but the bathrooms and showers in the marina are updated and clean for those like me that want a little more elbow room. This would be a great place for a group of adults to vacation as all the rental boats are located on the same dock. This is a bit like camping in an RV but on the water. There are smaller boats available, but spending a few more dollars for the extra space in the 38 footer was well worth it for us (nobody packs as much as we do for a 3-day stay.) Keep in mind this is a boat and it requires a little climbing and squeezing as you board and move about. That said, my wife and I are not "spring chickens" or by any means athletic and we had no trouble at all. We are always looking for peaceful, quiet places to stay. If you are looking for 5-star hotel pampering you may be disappointed, but if you want comfort, privacy and a beautiful view of the bay I recommend this unique experience.

  • We had a great time on Edward and Colleen's boat for 2 nights! Our kids thought it was the biggest adventure ever to stay on a boat. The location was great -- near Sleeping Bear dunes area and tons of other hiking, biking, paddling, and beach options -- and the marina setting itself was really nice and peaceful. I am a very light sleeper / sensitive to noise, and I didn't think noise from other boats or the nearby tavern were a problem at all (and this was a weekend). If we go back, I'll bring a few more provisions for breakfasts in the morning on the boat so we can linger there longer if we want. But there are also a few cafes in walking distance, so plenty of options. We had dinner at the tavern at the marina both nights -- they have a game area in the back with picnic tables and crayons for kids. Very easy!
