You will have everything required for a comfortable and enjoyable stay at the Barkly, you will feel above the rest and a piece of mind knowing that not only you but as well your vehicle and belonging are secure locked in the spacious Garage with access from the apartment. Located within a quiet street of the popular inner suburb on the fringe of the City of Melbourne, BRUNSWICK, 400m to the left is Barkly Square Shopping Complex, Sydney Rd with its Middle Eastern Cafes and Restaurants, walk or catch a tram to the City Centre, first stop to the left is Princes Park, a major sports and recreation Park, home to the Blues Aussie Rules Football Club, to the right two minutes walk to Melbourne Zoo Royal Park. second stop, Melbourne University, third stop, the famous Queen Vic Market, and next you're at Melb. Main Railway Station. 400m to the right is Lygon St Brunswick, renowned for the great cafes, restaurants of diverse cuisine, we have counted 21 on a stretch of less than 300m, the exclusive Woodstock Pizzicheria, 400 Gradi the true Napoli Pizza (awarded 2014 World Champion), Quarry Pub, or across the street is our favourite L'Amour & Gelobar (Gelateria, Pasticceria, Café Bakery, Tavola Calda all in one), walk or catch a tram to the City Centre via the cosmopolitan Lygon street Carlton, known as “La piccola Italia” (Little Italy) an area that burst with charm and character, enter Swanston St and you are at the centre of the Great City of Melb, turn left onto Little Burke and you are at China Town, or right to Melb Central, Myer and David Jones. Open space, comfort, tranquility and prime position, 7 minutes to the City Centre, 15 to MCG, Tennis Centre, Royal Botanical Gardens, the Yarra river, Crown Casino and much more, walk, ride, or catch a Tram. A large light filled self contained studio home. Decorated with a scandi-minimalist palette. This well appointed home offers a full kitchen with induction cooking facilities, convection oven and all the equipment to prep a romantic meal. A bedroom area under high vaulted ceilings decked out with a queen size bed, luxury mattress and egyptian cotton sheets, is a relaxing and airy space for kicking back after a day of exploring. A stylish and modern bathroom that boasts a rain-shower is just the way to unwind and soak up the Melbourne mornings. Guests have access to their private entrance and courtyard area with an alfresco garden setting for breakfasting and sharing a yarn next to a small organic herb garden. Michele and myself are available for any questions, tall stories and any recommendations for what to do in Melbourne. Located within the greenery and parklands of Princes Hill and Historic Carlton, it's a short stroll to Rathdown Street village and the iconic "Little Italy" eateries in Lygon St. Then settle in for a movie at the local Arthouse Cinema Nova. We are located within a 5 minute walking distance to tram lines heading to the City, Sydney Road and Brunswick East and parking is available around the home or else just bike about like a true local.
