Places to stay in Brooklyn

Places to stay in Brooklyn
My spacious two-bedroom home has everything you need for your NYC trip. On the first floor, but set above street level, I am offering two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen with a dining/living area, plus ROKU tv, WIFI, and washer/dryer. While Brooklyn is very large, I am walking distance to several major train/bus routes that run into Manhattan for all the popular sites: Freedom Tower, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Times Square. There is so much culture and excitement to be experienced!
Both bedrooms are very quiet, as they are located in the rear of the house. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the second bedroom has a twin size bed. The new bathroom has a large shower, but no tub, with strong water pressure. The kitchen/living/dining area are set in an open plan setup. French doors that open to a sunroom separate open plan kitchen/dining/living area. The sunroom is shared with me who has my own entrance. It is stocked with many types of plants to create a truly alive and lush area. Cats and one dog have and continue to live on this site. They live with the host an do sit in the shared sunrooms. No matter how much preparation, if you are sensitive to pets this place is probably isn't the best choice.
The Highland Park section of East New York has a very suburban feel. I am very close to Upper Highland Park which sits on the highest elevation of Brooklyn. It has a more 'open' feel. But, like the suburbs the evenings are very quiet.
  • Perfect apartment with a nice and fresh bathroom and kitchen! Would totally recommend.

  • Grazialla's place is very comfortable and she is quick to answer questions. I stayed a month here and enjoyed my stay.

    Juan2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean, functional and comfortable apartment. It was 3 months of accommodation that made me feel at home.

    Wesley2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Graziella responded quickly and check in and check out was very simple. The apartment is very clean and is an incredibly good deal. Easy walk to multiple subway lines that get you into Manhattan in ~30 mins. Neighborhood was pretty quiet and felt very safe.

    Alex2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very good place and Graziella an excellent host.

    Emilio2019-10-09T00:00:00Z

Downtown, the best bit of Manhattan. One of, if not the, LARGEST space on Airbnb in NYC. Your Own PRIVATE Bathroom & PRIVATE Bedroom, a Terrace off the bedroom, near to subways/buses, restaurants, bars, real luxury right in the middle of things. Just read our 500+ 5-STAR REVIEWS and you will see why we are SUPER-HOSTS and why you will just love this place, like other guests, I promise. Si, hablo bien espanol, Français parlé assez bien.
Downtown Manhattan, .. just like you see it in the films. Only so much better in real life !! All the details are below so that will see all that you will experience on your trip to the Big Apple - there are lots of things you will love when you stay here, but PLEASE PLEASE (did I say please?) try to read all the way to the end of the description, including sleeping arrangements, information on the area, getting around and the frequently asked questions. I know it is a bit of a novel, but it is well worth it and, from experience, it makes sure you understand everything in detail and ensures you will have the best stay that you can. Anything at all that you are not sure about, if you are new to Airbnb for example, just ask and I will get back asap and clarify. • Very spacious loft apartment ( about 2000 sq feet, 188 sq m, at last measure - so very BIG for New York) in the center of arguably the coolest area of the city (please do not argue ), modern, minimalist furniture , very open, very clean, I take great pride in having a spotless living environment (that goes for the host too). A Massive space that gets flooded with light via a wall of windows. Just take a look at the pictures. High security. Walking distance to subways & museums. Friendly building and very safe neighborhood. • Your own PRIVATE bathroom - Large, spacious, with Jacuzzi Bath, Shower, Hairdryer, Kohler fixtures. Fresh towels etc. Fully-stocked. All the shampoo and things you will ever need. Just for you. • Your own PRIVATE bedroom - Queen Bed for 2, firm and soft pillows for every type of sleeper, linens, towels, Large Flat Screen TV, Netflix, Amazon TV etc, Wardrobe. Again only for you. • Large kitchen - Open concept with an area to eat and with everything you need to design a gourmet feast, top of the line GE appliances, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle , Dishwasher, stainless steel counter top etc. Make any food you want - if it is really good, give me some. Make coffee there in the morning - always available -- you have your very own little coffee bar. • Very large living area, Real Fireplace, WiFi, Surround sound HDTV with HDMI hook-up and Roku TV, Bose sound system with iPhone/iPod hook-up, the best choice in music (in my opinion, most not consulted). Sit.... Enjoy • Large dining area - seats lots, great views over the city and over the Williamsburg Bridge. Eat foods mentioned above (probably while seated, although one can never be sure). • Natural brick walls (as opposed to unnatural I suppose) and a lovely Merbeau wooden floor, both of which look good (but don't say much). • Floor to ceiling windows throughout - bathed in sun (when the sun is out, mainly, of course) • Outside secluded seating area and balcony - you access directly from your room - very secluded (sometimes I cannot find it) • Full air conditioning / heating in the room and in rest of loft - be hot, be cool (most likely one at a time) • Bosch Washer and Dryer - for you to use - we like to reserve that for guests who stay for 3 nights or longer - being kind to the world too, we try to use cold water as well where possible. • Keyed Private elevator entrance directly into Loft - of course you have your own key (or stairs if u have the energy - does not seem so popular, strangely) • Printer / Scanner available. Pens and paper too, if you are a traditionalist.(although we draw the line at camel hair brushes, I'm sure you understand). And there is a universal power adapter for you to use to charge your gadgets too. • The building is a very smart development, a recently renovated 7-story apartment block with original brick facade, great views of the city skyline. Quiet, lovely, village feel, with parks and pedestrian areas just outside, but close enough to get anywhere very easily. I think I am allowed to say it is authentic. • This is a very large and comfortable space that you will be free to enjoy as you wish (this is your vacation after all). You will have lots of privacy and as well as the city, you have Books, Music (great as mentioned above), Roku TV with lots of channels and an online DVR and more .... or just relax and chat. Up to you. We provide the following publications too New York Times New York Magazine so you can feel a bit like a New Yorker • Located in the heart of Downtown - food (some of the best in the city), drink, fun, shopping all very, very close. A very cool residential neighborhood just a short trip to all the action. Perfect location for exploring both sides of the river too, as very close to Brooklyn and Williamsburg. One of the most historic neighborhoods in the U.S. (perhaps the most). We are only a few minutes away from the walkway along the East River, it has a great view of the Brooklyn bridge and Manhattan Bridge. Nearly opposite the Tenement Museum (which is really great). TV, Film and general interest media all the time (become a star - or an extra anyway) ,music clubs and comedy left right and center and Alphabet City, Ludlow Street , East Village, Chinatown and Soho all in spitting distance - and I can not spit far. Direct Access to cabs just outside building. • Food shopping wise, it is 3 blocks from a Whole Foods, the largest Trader Joe's on the east coast and few blocks from the new Essex Street Market. Great food shopping if you want. I hope everything is covered - email if you need more information. I hope to see you soon and I hope I can be part of your visit to this unique place.
Best neighborhood in Manhattan for independent coffee shops, cozy wine bars, up-and-coming restaurants (the area has 4 out of the top 10 best places to eat in this years NY magazine list) , intimate music venues, and interesting owner-operated shops. Like no other area in the city. A very peaceful cool neighborhood, yet just a short trip to all the action. Check out the "Guidebook" with my listing -- I send a much longer one that I have written directly to guests that do decide to stay before they get here - and they love it, mention it often in their reviews and keep asking for extra copies!!
  • Super nice and spacious apartment in a vibrant neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay. Carol and Marc were extremely accommodating , helpful and friendly. Super comfy bed too! Would highly recommend!

    Matt2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • I had an amazing stay at Carol and Marc’s place. I felt like I was at home or staying with relatives. That’s how comfortable and welcoming they were. The place was as described. Lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance, very clean. Carol and Marc made great suggestions for breakfast and dinner. They went above and beyond what was expected of them. The bed was so comfortable. I wish the weather was nicer so we could have taken advantage of the terrace (next time). I highly recommend Carol and Marc’s place. This is the place you want to stay when visiting New York. Everything you can think of is just outside there door.

    Emmanuelle2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a large, clean and comfortable 3rd floor apartment with keyed elevator. Felt completely safe walking around at night. Very quiet street. Just 3 blocks to metro and trains taking you uptown. Great coffee shops and lots of cultures and cuisines to explore nearby. The hosts know every nook and cranny of the lower east side, so ask for their recommendations. Would stay there again.

    Ann2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay with Marc and Carol. They both are delightful hosts and had so many suggestions for us first timers to NYC. We were given a guide ahead of time of so many things to do, places to see, and places to eat. Check in was super easy and a bit early, which didn’t seem to be a problem at all this particular day. Marc gave a short tutorial showing us how to get in the building and how to use the elevator. It was great not to have to navigate stairs with suitcases. The apartment was spacious and spotless and we had access to everything we needed. Having shampoo, conditioner, and body wash already there for us to use was nice. Especially since you don’t have to pack it in your suitcase, which makes it a bit lighter for the airport. We didn’t use the kitchen much as we didn’t want to cook for ourselves, but it seemed to have everything you’d need if you did decide to cook. The internet was great and there were lots of choices for tv streaming services. After a long day of walking outside in the cold, it was nice to get back, curl up on the sofa with lots of pillows, have a nice fire in the fireplace, and watch a little tv. Only bad thing was that we didn’t have enough time to see and do all the things we wanted. Well, that means we’ll need to come back and we will have this fantastic place to stay!

    Kathleen2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Carol and Mark are very nice and very welcoming. I love the location to be able to walk everywhere. Again, I highly recommend this as a great place to stay.

    William2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is AMAZING - the pictures don’t do it justice (the tub is a jacuzzi!)!! Carol and Marc were consummate hosts, their hospitality generous without being intrusive. The location is so close to the subway, we were able to easily travel throughout the city with no trouble at all, and the area was and felt safe at all times. We can’t wait to return to the city and spend more time there!!! Thank you 😊

    Kelly2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Ahhhhh :) what an amazing way to experience NYC. Firstly entering the apartment via an elevator set the mood immediately for the most new yorky stay ever! The apartment is amazing, all the beds all comfy, the shower lush, and the location brilliant. So much quieter than staying Central, which we loved. But not far away from anything! Close to subway and bus stops. And if you are tired (or have tired kids who don’t want to walk after you’ve been to the theatre) an Uber doesn’t break the bank to here either. Marc is just the sweetest gentleman and Carol is just lovely. Felt safe, felt welcome. Thank you guys :) I hope our paths cross again. Big loves xx

    Faye2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed here for a Valentine’s Day trip and it was absolutely wonderful. Marc and Carol are very kind and accommodating hosts to stay with. I highly recommend this place. It was very clean, communication was great, and it was overall a lovely experience in great area. We hope to stay with Marc and Carol again soon. 💛

This is a private room in a newly renovated ground floor apartment. I live here, and enjoy hosting travelers from around the world! You’ll have a private room (lockable from the inside and outside), with a comfy Queen-sized bed, AC/heater, and a closet. The front door has keyless entry (you’ll receive the code after you book), so you’re welcome to come and go as you please. Bed-Stuy is known for its tree-lined streets and historic brownstone architecture. The population is a mix of longtime residents, and young artists and musicians. This is a vibrant area with tons of new bars, restaurants, and shops nearby. The neighborhood is bordered by Clinton Hill, Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Crown Heights.
  • Right next to the subway line G which allows you to reach the heart of New York quickly (30-45 minutes), the apartment is clean and the room very pleasant. We slept very well there after each long day of sightseeing and walking. To go out in the evening, the easiest way is to reach Williamsburg (5 metro stations) for a beer and a bite to eat.

  • Mira's place is very nice and clean and is in a residential area in Brooklyn and close to a subway station for easy access to the city. The other rooms are also airbnb guests but there are two bathrooms so there was never a wait. The room and bathroom are nice and look newly renovated. Easy access to the building and apartment on the keypad lock.

    Bill2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Loved my stay at Mira’s! Super convenient location with lots of cute little bars around. I also enjoyed the fact that she allowed me to leave my luggage there during the day after checking out.

  • A great spot in Brooklyn! Michelle’s place is charming and excellent for the price. I’ll definitely be booking here again the next time I stay in Brooklyn

    Samuel2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • The place is as described, exactly what you see on the photo's. The area is very nice, calm, no trafic noise at night. Michelle is very quick to respond and very helpful, a great host. I would definitely recommend this place and I would stay here again. There isn't a full kitchen, but who needs a full kitchen when you're on vacation! With a microwave and a little 2-burner, plus a water can, it's really all you need. Plus there is a small refrigerator as well with a mini freezer. Perfect for friends travelling together. My daughter and I had a great time, so thank you Michelle for hosting us! As we would say in Belgium: Jij verdient één pluim! (You deserve a feather!)

    Susan2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing experience in New York City and it all started with Michelle’s awesome hospitality and her beautiful place! Everything about the place was perfect for us and she made our stay worth while. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, friendly stay in Brooklyn.

    Zack2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle delivered an extremely safe and comfortable experience which was something I was nervous about, having never used an Airbnb. The space is extremely nice and much bigger than I expected. Michelle was such a caring and host and did everything she could to make sure I had the best experience!

    Matthew2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a spacious comfortable space with everything that you need. It is convenient to subway and restaurants and Michelle is only a message away to answer any questions you might have. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. Quite new to Air bnb, so was delighted

    Korene2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious appartments. Everything a little aged (except restroom and shower). For three adults it was fine. We used the sofa for the third person. If you don't mind sleeping only on one side of the sofa (in the middle there is a gap) it's ok. We cannot say anything about the air-matress. Missing dishes/cutlery were brought by Michelle immediatelly. You can hear other guests upstairs, but it's not annoying. I would recommend the appartment for everybody who doesn't want to be in Manhattan. Supermarkets and restaurants in walking distance. Very quiet neighborhood.

  • We really enjoyed our stay with Michelle. The apartment was spacious and had so many cute and unique touches. Check in and check out was simple and quick, and Michelle was a responsive and thoughtful host. Would definitely stay here again!

About the NEIGHBORHOOD::: The neighborhood is Flatbush, bordering Ditmas Park and Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. This is NOT hipster paradise, and it's NOT gangster's paradise either! Our neighborhood is very residential and typically quieter than most urban cities. The summertime is louder on the block because very few people have air conditioning and enjoy hanging outside. The neighbors are friendly, so say hello as you pass! The ages of the neighborhood are very diverse (young children to elderly homeowners who have been here for 40 years). Flatbush has a lot of local charm and people with hearts of gold. Jamaican food is plentiful (jerk chicken- yeah!); there is also a local donut shop nearby, Subway, Thai, sushi, pizza, and Indian food for delivery or a 5-15 minute walk to the restaurant, as well as many chain stores like Dominos, Dunkin' Donuts, IHOP, and Walgreens drug store. There is also a Planet Fitness (handy for Black-Card members!) Just a 10 minute walk down the road is Kings Theater (built originally in 1929 and shut in the 70s) just under went a $93 million renovation and re-opened in February 2015. It has been called the Radio City Music Hall of Brooklyn, and it is quite extravagant. Restorationists and Architects would be delighted to tour this place and see a concert or show. Many big names come here including Diana Ross, Sarah McLaughlin, Sufjan Stevens, Ringo Starr, Spoon, Passion Pit, Gladys Knight, Daniel Tosh, and Broadway-type shows like Annie. We are very glad this has opened here! Many students, young professionals, elderly, children live around-- it is very diverse and fun. The subway station is very busy and usually has a lot of litter and trash around, unfortunately. It is busy, lively and well lit; lots of traffic and people hanging out, loving life. Mostly working-class population, so lots of commuters each morning and night. There are not giant housing complexes around; it is a true neighborhood, so smile at everyone and you're sure to get a friendly "good morning!". Police station and Fire Station are two blocks away. Four subway stops away at Franklin Avenue there are many restaurants with burgers, ice cream, vegetarian options, organic grocery stores, bars, coffee shops, wine stores, Thai food, shopping boutiques, live music, poetry readings, and yoga. We are close to Prospect Park-- our favorite part of the borough, and the biggest reason we moved here! About a 20 minute walk, there is a new ice-skating rink (October-April) and in the summer, paddle boat and bicycle rental, and roller skating as well (April-October). It was a $90 million complex! In Prospect Park, there are many large fields for a picnic and trails to walk. There is also a gathering of Food Trucks from May-October every 1st and 3rd Sunday from 11am-5pm, and a long-run Farmer's Market year-round on Saturdays from 8am-3pm. Also the food market Smorgasburg takes place here and is about a 30 minute walk from our door. This park was designed by the same people who designed Central Park. Brooklyn Botanic Gardens are a 35 minute walk, or a 10 minute subway ride right to the entrance.

  • If you’re looking for a thoughtful and stunningly beautiful retreat while in Brooklyn, this is the place. From the clawfoot tub to the original art to the esoteric French literature, this space is truly curated. Entry was simple with thorough instructions from the host even with our late check-in. Plus, it smells lovely thanks to the Aesop store located downstairs. Everything was cozy and the amenities were more than sufficient. Check out process was easy and the space was about as quiet as NYC gets. It is located very conveniently near the train for access to Manhattan (if you even want to leave the neighborhood). I would highly recommend booking with Lucien. Make sure to look through the host guide and stop by Bien Cuit for a croissant and latte as well!

    Kaitlin2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lucien is a very thoughtful, responsive and understanding host. The location is great for exploring both Brooklyn and Manhattan. The kitchen doesn't have a huge variety of pots and pans so can be hard to cook but there is no shortage of great restaurants nearby.

    Piper2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had an amazing night at this Airbnb! It was his birthday and Lucien had left a really nice gift behind! Overal this Airbnb was super artsy and cute and we had a great time!

This is a comfortable studio apartment with exposed brick that has a true city feeling. This studio has a newly renovate bathroom and kitchen with stain steel appliances. The space fits four and is centrally located on a Historic quiet street. This unit is loaded with cable and wifi. Just blocks away from public transportation A and G train lines. And minutes away from the bus route B25 B26 and the B44. Come and explore the charm of Bed-Stuy and all the Historic's. I love this neighborhood. !
This historic section of Brooklyn is home to some of the most magnificent brownstones streets in the world, with charming architectural landmarks. There so many new restaurants and bars popping up in the area such as Peaches,Hot house,Royals, Saraghina, and Gallery.
  • This was our first time staying in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood and Michelle's place is the perfect home base. The apartment looks like the photos, the bed is very comfortable, there are toiletries in the bathroom, and utensils for light cooking in the cute little kitchen. Michelle is available to answer your questions, but is not intrusive at all. My husband and I had come in from Cleveland for a long weekend...enjoyed neighborhood restaurants, attended a production at the Metropolitan Opera, ran a 5k in Riverside Park, even shopped for and purchased a sofa from the Joybird showroom in downtown Brooklyn. We'd be happy to stay in Bed-Stuy with Michelle again!!

    Elaine2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle’s place was outstanding to stay at. It’s perfect for just going in and out and it was great for a more authentic stay in the city. We had everything we needed and were able to maneuver very quickly around through the subways nearby.

    Grace2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The location is amazing!!! Only a 10 minute walk to the subways, and everything else you need is right there in the neighborhood from great restaurants, delis, and small bodegas. The place was very clean, and cozy, and convenient, and quiet. Michelle gave us great tips on where to go for the happenings, and checked in with us to make sure we were okay. Everything you read in the reviews is correct. She is the perfect host. I will stay again and again.

    Natalie2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle’s place is amazing. She was more than helpful and her home is in close proximity to the A/C trains and bodegas.

  • Great place! Location was perfect! Michelle was an awesome host!

    Joshua2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle’s place was ideal for our NYC trip for New Year’s Eve. It was about 10 min walk to the train, parking was excellent on the street. The pictures were very accurate, everything was as described. Having a small kitchen really came in handy to avoid eating out every meal. Neighbourhood was good, no complaints. Michelle was there immediately when I messaged her having trouble opening the lockbox, which was greatly appreciated. All in all this was perfect for what we needed and we had no issues.

    Dia2020-01-02T00:00:00Z

The western bedroom in my 3 bedroom penthouse apartment. I say penthouse because it’s the entire top floor, not because it’s a $15 million apartment with a swimming pool and helipad. :) This is Brooklyn. But I think you’ll love it for the same reasons I do: 5 trains within 5 minutes, a rooftop facing Manhattan, live music everywhere, late night restaurants, nearby McCarren park and a feeling like you’re in an actual neighborhood! 7th yr living here (4th as host) and still love it! You will too!
IMPORTANT UPDATES: 1) 5 Day Maximum Rental - No Exceptions. Please don't enquiry for longterm stays. DESCRIPTION: DIY IS YOUR FRIEND - You'll notice this as soon as you come into the apartment. James and I loved building things and putting the apartment together with our own touches. The living room cocktail table we brought from central Brooklyn on the subway and spent four days sanding, cleaning, painting and constructing it into a table. You'll see touches like this all over the apartment. (Current Project: refinish the stairs and hardwood on the apartments landing. The landlord's janky carpet had to go!) HAVE YOUR CARRIE BRADSHAW MOMENT - Pop out the window in the living room like Carrie and have a smoke on the fire escape or watch the sunset, or climb up to the roof and have a martini (we usually drink margaritas up there) and have a great NYC moment. BOUJI TO BUSTED - Have drinks on the roof of the Wythe Hotel for $14 and look out over all of Williamsburg or spend $5 and get a PBR and a shot at Union Cafe with a taco in their back garden and listen to some live music. This neighborhood caters to the whole spectrum and you can eat til 2 am and drink til 4 am. LOWER MANHATTAN IS 1 STOP AWAY - 5 Train lines within a 5 minute walk of the apartment, the J, M, Z and G, L so getting into Manhattan is easy and the trains run 24 hours a day. ENJOY YOUR PRIVACY - If you want to have a chat catch me when I'm having a cocktail on the weekends and getting ready to go out and we'll have a laugh, but other than that you have privacy and I let you do your thing while I recharge during the week in my space doing mine. 4 YEARS OF AIRBNB HOSTING - 700 GUESTS - Yep. That's right. Been doing this for 4 years and have had over 700 guests so I know what I'm doing. Hope to meet you soon! If you have any questions, ask away!i
Williamsburg is amazing. Anyone who has lived in NYC for awhile can tell you there is an immediate difference in the energy of this place to Manhattan. It feels more neighborhoody, people are friendly and there's a creative vibe everywhere. You can't go into a bar or restaurant without bumping into designers, photographers, musicians, painters, web developer and the list goes on and on. There is music everywhere and lots of cheap drinks for the hipster crowd. It's a fantastic neighborhood.

This is a studio apartment that has been remodeled recently. All new kitchen, bedroom, living room, bathroom and other.
This apartment was remodeled based on Modern-Contemporary designs. The walls are gray, to dark gray with highlights of white details around the apartment. The kitchen and office area have very bright lights to make up for the darker walls, as well as the bathroom.
This is an amazing area that is very quiet due to the lack of excessive traffic and something you will be needing after visiting the city. You can also sit on the stoop in front of the house, late at night especially, and enjoy the area. Additionally, it is a historic area because of the German Style town houses that are becoming very well known.
  • Stylish place with everything you’ll need in a great, quiet location. Walking distance to quaint cafes and the M train. The host is super accommodating to any needs. A fantastic stay, would stay here again!

  • The apartment was really clean, the bed and pillows really comfortable. The area is quiet and you could walk late around and still feel safe. You do have bus stations and train stations near you which was very convenient for us, since we went to Manhattan almost everyday. Totally recommend this place and the host, Vanesa and her mother Dorina were wonderful and really quick repliers.

When you come back after a day in NYC to a quiet place (yes, I was there on the weekend), it is very restful. Amazing places to eat and be entertained are everywhere. Private bedroom (75 sq ft) with full mattress fits two comfortably. South facing windows get great sunlight. Full closet & dresser draws. Fresh Linens and towels always provided. Iron and hair dryer provided. Walkup apt (no elevator). Full bath, kitchen, living room (with entertainment center), and roof deck also included as shared spaces. Vibrant neighborhood (main factor in listing price). Spaced shared with me & another guest. Understand that these older buildings aren't especially spacious.
Fairly historic building representing the classic east village neighborhood. Spiral staircase in the apartment leads to a private roof deck with a gorgeous view of lower Manhattan. In nicer weather, there will be a full hammock set up which fits two. Reiterating here that this apartment is not sprawling and huge. Do not expect that.
Arguably Manhattan's most vibrant neighborhood in terms of live music, fine art, restaurants, bars, and clubs. Very close to the quaint Tompkins Sq park, home to the city's first dog run. Major subway line extremely close to the apartment. Public transit is ample. This is real NYC, far from the typical tourist traps.

  • I highly recommend staying with Scott. The Location is great; so close to the Subway. Scott offers many recommendations and is very easy to communicate with. We had a great time and were sad to leave!

  • Great place and good location!

    Yukyeong2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • One of the kindest and most thoughtful people in NYC. Scott made my first trip using Airbnb an amazing experience! 💕

    Omar2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Really great apartment in a handy part of town, super close to the subway which makes getting into Manhattan super easy. Room was clean and comfortable, Scott was super responsive and gave us some good local tips. Would 100% recommend this place!

    Angus2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Scott is an excellent host. He was very communicative, and he helped us out a lot while we were staying in Brooklyn. I'd definitely recommend him.

    Tyler2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Scott's place is great. Quiet, clean, close to public transportation. He provides great local recommendations and responds so quickly. Oh, and his cat is delightful.

    Madison2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Scott's place! The location is very convenient if you want to explore around Brooklyn but it is also a short trip by train to Manhattan. The room was very clean and organized, it met all of our expectations. The best part is the check-in, which is very flexible, and was able to accommodate our red-eye flight. Don't think twice when considering booking this room.

    Stephany2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, take Scott's recommendation to eat at Williamsburg Pizza. The recommendations, in general, were amazing. The room was gorgeous, so much bigger and lighter than I expected. I've stayed in airbnbs in the past where it feels like someone tossed a couple of crappy beds in a couple extra rooms to make a buck, Scott's place was the exact opposite of that, it felt homey and comfortable. I fell in love with the big beautiful windows and even got to pet kitty on the head a couple of times! She's skittish, but if you catch her when she's having some water or chilling on the common area couch she's calm and loves some scritches. Not only was the room beautiful and the location great, but the price is right as well. Next time I'm in town I'm checking to see if Scott's place is available before any others, I'd stay here again in a second.

Cozy home away from home feel within a bright and friendly area. Great for singles or couples getaway you have the space all to yourself.
Studio space including kitchen with all amenities. You have entire space to yourself. The apartment is front facing so there is potential noise from street traffic. Close to 5major subway, 35 min.from Time Square or stay close and visit the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Museum, Barclays Center and much more. Good food is all around!!
It's a really nice neighborhood rich in social, arts and religious culture. We have a number of coffee shops, bagel shop, bars, restaurants. Synagogues and Churches that you can visit for the real NY experience. Gyms kickboxing Prospect Park so much.
  • Arlene and her husband are great people and their place is awesome. Everything you need for a trip in NYC is there. Short walk to major subway, a lot of c-stores, great restaurants and bars close by. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and had a lot of nice commodities like fully equipped kitchen, fast wifi, tv with netflix, and bathroom essentials. The neighborhood is nice, safe and vibrant, real Brooklyn as you want it. Would definetely come here again!

  • "Melinda's place" was super comfortable and cozy. Walkable distance to multiple train and bus routes, as well as lots of great dining options, the Brooklyn Museum, and Botanical Gardens. Highly recommend to anyone wishing to visit Brooklyn or New York in general!

  • We can highly recommend this cosy flat. We loved the location - there's Bagel Pub for delicious breakfasts or diners. It took us less than 30 minutes to get to Manhattan. We also got very fast replies whenever needed.

    Renata2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very accommodating, responsive and in a great location; near to 3 different train stations that will take you anywhere you want to go.

    Joe2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great space, very comfortable. Everything is lined up for you so you don’t confused, for example like for which key you need to use for the doors and the host are always available to help as well. My friend and I had a great time and will definitely be back.

    Lois2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Arlene’s place was very clean and nice. She had stocked the bathroom and airbnb with little things just in case you forgot anything at home. The bed is a bit on the harder side (which I personally enjoyed), but was fully stocked with fluffy pillows and blankets. It can also be a bit noisy from the traffic outside, but it eventually tunes out and becomes great white noise for sleeping. The location was great and a short walk to the subway, but walking alone at night as two girls was a bit uneasy at times. Overall, Arlene was very hospitable and my friend and I enjoyed our stay at the airbnb!

    Grace2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable and warm apartment, that was within a 10 minute walk to the subway to Manhattan and other suburbs in Brooklyn. (Roughly 20 min subway ride to Manhattan) We stayed for 5 nights, and was always nice to come back to a warm space after a long day out in the cold! Arlene also let us leave our luggage for the afternoon on our day of check-out as our flight was not until the evening which was appreciated.

  • Simple, clean place in a convenient location. Great value for the price; exactly what I needed for my weekend in Brooklyn. I really enjoyed my stay.

    Marley2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Finding it and checking in was a little difficult but once I got in, it felt so inviting and cozy. The WiFi does kick you out every 30 minutes or so but it’s reasonably fast. It’s in a great spot where lots of shops and attractions are nearby. It does get pretty loud in the morning/afternoon because this place is located across the street from an elementary school. Other than that, it’s very nice and I would definitely book it again.

    Isaiah2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice location near bus and train stops, perfect for a short trip (we were there 4 days)

    Elizabeth2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place is charming and looks exactly like the pictures. It's quite close to the subway, so it's easy to get around the city. The apartment is hard to find. It is a door right next to an apartment building. It's pretty unassuming and blends into the street. Look for the lockbox. When you're visiting, bring warm clothing if you'll be there in the winter. It was quite cold in the apartment when I was there. Also, note that the shower is small. Otherwise, this place is fantastic. I will absolutely try to stay there again next time I'm in the city.

Apartment share on a quiet street in a lively neighborhood, this 2nd-fl walk-up is just blocks from NYU, Washington Sq Pk, SoHo, and Lower East Side. Grab Michelin-rated sushi or $3 PBRs within 50 feet (15 m) of the front door. East Village diversity at its finest.
Your large bedroom has a queen size mattress with a memory foam topper that is very comfortable. There's also a full-size air mattress for one extra guest. The room gets a lot of light from the large windows. The curtains and blinds keep it nice and dark at night. You will have access to the shared living room, kitchen, and bathroom. There is wi-fi, an Apple TV, cable TV and everything you need to feel right at home. The bedroom faces a rear courtyard, so street noise is minimal to non-existent. You may hear an occasional garden party. If they get too loud, let me know and I'll take care of it.
The East Village is socially and culturally diverse without being pretentious. New York's immigrant origins, 70s punk scene, and current food renaissance all energetically coexist in the East Village like nowhere else in Manhattan. You can seriously get Michelin-rated sushi or three-dollar PBRs within 50 feet (15 m) of the front door. Its residents, an unlikely mix of businesspeople, artists, laborers, designers, and nomads anachronistically make themselves at home among Old New York's Gilded Age and Pre-war brick-and-stone architectural hand-me-downs. Midtown's steel-and-glass landscape and the West Village's yuppie homogeneity haven't invaded the East Village...yet.
  • Sne is a wonderful host. The room was nice and cozy and very clean. It was also very quiet at night. We got some really useful tips on restaurants and other places to visit in New York. Sne even offered us delicious freshly baked bread. I definitely recommend to stay at Sne's apartment.

  • Just a fantastic place to stay with a wonderfully welcoming host in lower Manhattan. Convenient location , cool neighborhood, stylish, clean and surprisingly quiet room. Sne has truly mastered the art of air bnb hosting. I can't recommend any higher!

    Ruth2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • I would stay again with Sne. The place was very close to lots of different subway lines. There was lots of nice places to eat around the East Village. Sne also went above and beyond such as carrying my heavy suitcase up the stairs, and offering me coffee in the morning. The room was lovely and spacious which was such a blessing. I would love to stay again

    Claire2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sne's apartment is clean, sunny and super convenient to getting around the city. More quiet than we expected, despite having with a bar and a coffee shop steps away from the front door. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone wanting to be close to the East Village and NYU, with easy access to the rest of Manhattan and even Brooklyn.

    Shelby2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Reliable, low cost for New York. The host is very accommodating and has a wicked sense of humor! He has a little booklet filled with tips about the area and NY in general!

    Maria2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Sne’s place is absolutely amazing and Sne himself is awesome! The best Airbnb host we’ve ever had. Sne put together an awesome guide to the neighborhood with food recommendations and we had so much fun going on a food crawl around the East Village. He let us check in early, was super helpful and communicative, and was sooo friendly. The only “down” side to this is now we never want to stay anywhere else in New York! I would say this is a good problem to have. We will be back for sure!

Everything is brand new including the central air and heat, marble bathroom, stainless steel appliances, and hardwood floors, as well as exposed brick throughout. Metro stations Nostrand (A/C) or Bedford-Nostrand (G). It's a rather extraordinary block, in a district that is under review to be designated as Bedford Historic District.
This well kept secret enclave attracts many artists and young families. The neighborhood is gorgeous, and the apartment located on a charming brownstone street, close to plenty of hotspots on Tompkins, Franklin and Bedford Avenues, great restaurants such as Hothouse, Saraghina (best Italian in all of NYC), Scratchbread, bakeries, coffee shops and boutiques. To quote the New York Times about the Bedford Hstoric District which the house is part of, the brownstones and small apartment buildings nestled in the Bedford Historic District are for the most part "drop-dead gorgeous. The 800 largely intact residential buildings, representing Italianate, Queen Anne, Romanesque Revival and Renaissance Revival styles, are executed in rich rusts, browns and terra cottas, and adorned with gracious bowed windows, generously proportioned stoops and adorable little turrets." The result, in the opinion of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, is “an extraordinary well-preserved late-19th-century streetscape.”
  • Very good stay at Loli. Good address in Brooklyn and close to the subway!

  • This is a cozy apartment located in the Bed-Stuy district of Brooklyn. The neighborhood is relatively safe for NYC and you can access the G-train with a 15 minute walk. There’s a lot within walking distance as well if you’re up for seeing the area on foot. The apartment is very cozy, spacious, clean, and has everything you need. Loli communicates well about your stay and is always willing to help.

  • Location is really great. If we could give 8 out of 5, we would. Especially for the price! Highly recommended!

    Chai2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Space was great! Very close to the Grand St. L Train station, which will take you into Manhattan. Just cross the street, make a right and the station will be there. Check-in instructions were detailed and straightforward. Room was very clean and place accurately described. There was central heating and individual AC in the room. Place was small, and the room as well, but it was enough for two people. Anymore might be pushing it. The other rooms were occupied when I was there. There is a community fridge. There was a stove but I didn't use it. Just some FYI for those planning to stay: my room did not have windows, so was little depressing but you won't be spending much time in your room anyway so it wasn't a big deal. Be sure to bring your own toiletries. Also, no toilet paper goes into the toilet, it all goes into the trash bin. Shower was excellent and water was hot.

    Brian2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • I had a really good time there, the Airbnb is very clean and there is everything you need. The location is great as it is next to Grand St Station, with the L train, so it was very convenient to go to Manhattan.

Experience Brooklyn like a local in our newly remodeled studio apartment on the ground floor of a classic limestone townhouse. With the subway right around the corner, exploring both Brooklyn and Manhattan is super easy, and makes this studio a perfect base for the solo traveler, a couple, or a small group.
The apartment was recently renovated and features details such as exposed beams and piping, concrete floors and industrial finishes. There is a sleeping alcove with a queen sized bed, a living area with a sectional sleeper sofa, full kitchen with a coffee maker and an island with seating for two. The subway is a two minute walk away. Four minutes on the train will get you to bustling Franklin Avenue, where you can explore hip local restaurants, bars and coffee shops. In eight minutes you'll be at the Brooklyn Museum and Prospect Park. Downtown Manhattan is a 20 minute ride, and you’ll be in Midtown or Uptown in 30-45 minutes. Local restaurants such as Basil and Boeuf and Bun are within easy walking distance, and there's a laundromat and a 24 hour grocery just around the corner. Our neighborhood is very diverse, quite gritty and gentrifying all at once. In short, it's Brooklyn.
Crown Heights is a historic and dynamic neighborhood in the heart of Brooklyn. The number 3 and 4 trains which service it provide easy access to Manhattan attractions, as well as Brooklyn points of interest such as Barclay Center, Brooklyn Bridge Park and Dumbo, as well as historic neighborhoods such as Park Slope and Carroll Gardens. It's central and quite safe, but might appear a little rough at first.
  • This was a great place to stay while visiting the city. The apartment was great and conveniently located near the subway. Isaac was an awesome host and gave many tips on local attractions and things to do. This is the perfect listing if you want to see more of NYC than just Midtown Manhattan.

  • What a wonderful gem this place is! Great bed (super comfortable), a fully equipped kitchen (including coffee), a nice couch to hang on and a really nice feel to the place. Location is right around the corner from the 3 & 4 trains to Manhattan (4 minute walk). Grocery stores (multiple) also right around the corner and nice restaurants and bars 3 train stops away at Franklin Ave. We felt right a home at Isaac’s place. We didn’t meet in person but communication was fast and friendly. An absolute recommendation if you want to explore the city and get a flavour of this part of Brooklyn!

Also, is she optional? Some people are worried about having someone go through their stuff… A: Before you arrive and after you leave. Q: How many sets of keys will we be given? Can we have four sets since some of us will be going in and out at different times? A: 2 but you can make copies on 7st 2av hardware store for 2 dollars – you should leave those copies before checking out. Please don't buzz all apartments because you forgot keys; call me, there is a backup key in a restaurant, and I can arrange for it. Also, if you need to arrive late there is a way to leave you a key, please ask me and I will explain. Q: If something goes wrong (with the plumbing, electrical or whatever) who do we call? Will we be left someone's contact info? A: Call me, I have a plumber and carpenter on call. there is a sticker with plumber number on the boilers and water heaters in real emergency. the restaurant on the first floor helps you out. Q: Will you be stopping by the place during our stay? (Some people have read reviews about owners showing up without notice) A: No. Q: Is there anything we should be aware of? Maintenance issues, noises, weird neighbors.... A: Just don’t buzz all apts at 2am. Don't write me a message if you really don't want to book just to see if I reply, I get tons of messages and I reply to every one of them. I know it’s expensive, if you want to negotiate a price its possible, especially for longer stays, please send me a listing from Airbnb for an equivalent place that is cheaper and I will match it. Thanks for reading, by renting this you are helping me pay for Stanford ;)
This is East Village, it's the best neighborhood in NYC. Lots of bars and restaurants. easy to walk to soho, union Square, close to the subway. The East Village is known for its happening nightlife. Old-school bars, music venues and performance spaces share the streets with posh cocktail lounges, hip restaurants. Daytime sees a more laid-back crowd browsing boutiques, vintage shops and tattoo parlors, and dining at casual cafes. Once the epicenter of the city's punk scene, St. Mark's Place now features of-the-moment fast-food eateries and souvenir shops.
  • Beautiful home. Nice location.

  • I recently stayed at Seith's amazing duplex for a work trip and I absolutely LOVED the apartment. I come to NYC at least once a month and always try to say in different parts of the city. I have to say, this has been my best stay yet! The apartment is HUGE and although it was just me, I thoroughly enjoyed all the extra space which is unheard of in the city. It was really easy to find and a quick walk to the subway station and some great restaurants. AMAZING value for the price. It was really cozy and I love that there's a balcony right off the upstairs bedrooms. I will absolutely try to book this place again and would not mind staying here every time I come to the city for work. P.S. Seith was very responsive over the chat! He even let me leave my bag in the building after check out so I could explore East Village a little before catching my flight. EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE.

  • What a lovely experience to share yoga with Lucas in such a magical space. We felt fully welcomed, embraced—-this was a very special experienced filled with humanity and heart. Thank you Lucas! Namaste.

  • Great place for our group to gather! I booked Seith's place (and the 2 bedroom below) for a group of friends in town for a wedding. This was the perfect space for us all to be able to enjoy each other's company, cook breakfast together and relax on the sofas. It's a bit dated and felt crowded with 9 people, but without question there were plenty of sheets, towels, and sleeping surfaces, and it's excellent value for the location and amount of space.

    Genevieve2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a great location with bars and great places to eat a short walk away, the apartment is well set up with loads of space (especially for NYC), check in and out were a breeze - thanks for hospitality Seith

    Toby2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great trip and right in the center of everything I wanted to see this trip.

    Sean2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • There are definitely a LOT of stairs as stated in the listing. The stairs inside the apartment can be quite slippery so be cautious. Large space and in a great location!

  • This place is amazing, but don’t rent it because I might be wanting to stay there when you do. :) Seriously though, amazing host, great place, perfectly located, all you need for a stay in the West Village.

    Chris2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I recently stayed at Daniels’ apartment for 3 weeks and had an amazing stay. This may be a long review as there’s so much to say so I’ll divide it into sections to help the reader: Location: I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Manhattan now that I’ve stayed in West Village. The apartment is close to subway lines (Christopher Street a 5-minute walk for local trains and 14th Street for Express trains - 10 min walk). But to be honest we walked A LOT everywhere. This really is an ideal location for exploring all of Manhattan. A 10-minute walk to Pier 45 on the Hudson River (lots of events) and beautiful views; a 10-minute walk to the bottom end of the High Line – and then maybe 30 minutes along here to Hudson Yards and Chelsea Market a 15-minute walk (max). The local grocery store is a 5-minute walk. Location is amazing! So many great restaurants and bars within walking distance. Apartment: For the one review on here that complains about the size of the apartment this is NYC! Let’s get real – there’s not the space in NYC for Australian or Texan size apartments. The space is as advertised – compact and well designed to accommodate 2 people, BUT my husband joined my daughter and I for the last 3 nights of our stay and she slept on the couch no problem. It was cozy but functional (she is a 17-year-old ballerina though so TINY) but it was absolutely fine. I wouldn’t recommend this for 3 people for a longer stay though but for 2 people this apartment is great. I would say it’s the size of an average hotel room in Manhattan BUT it is so well designed that it is incredibly functional. Whilst my daughter was dancing I worked from the apartment – putting the murphy bed away and the large desk down takes less then 5 minutes. My only concern when I booked the apartment was closet space (I do have a 17-year-old dancer on my hands!) but this is AMAZING – so much storage space. We easily fit all of our clothes, shoes etc. in the closets – as well as our two large empty suitcases (there is a storage locker available downstairs though if you need it). I cannot even describe how much storage space there is – it’s incredible – way better than any hotel room storage. The bathroom is a really good size and my daughter took full advantage of the Japanese soaking tub for her aching muscles after dancing all day. Having high speed WIFI was great and although we didn’t watch TV much it was great to have so many channels to choose from when we did. OK the kitchen is not going to allow you to cook a five-course dinner for 10 people, but it was perfectly adequate for our needs. The microwave / oven / toaster combo works really well and with a coffee maker, toaster, 2 gas rings and a sizeable fridge / freezer – what else do you need? Having the washer / dryer was also a big plus point for me. Some things to note – the bed is squeaky, but you get used to it and it didn’t stop us sleeping soundly. The air con is noisy but again we just got used to it. It didn’t disturb our sleep at all – and often we turned it off just before going to bed anyway. There is some street noise but its only as people are passing on their way home from the bars / restaurants and only at weekends. Again, you are in West Village – we expected this for a lively, vibrant neighborhood – you can’t have great restaurants and bars at your fingertips without expecting some noise. Host: OK I saved the best to last. Daniel (and his VERY helpful sidekick Frank who lives in the apartment below) are quite honestly two of the most helpful, nicest and responsive people I have had the pleasure of coming across. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them. Daniel was flexible with times of us arriving and departing based on our flight times and responded to all of my questions / suggestions within MINUTES! Literally nothing was too much trouble for him – even to my 8pm plea of “how do we use the faucet on the tub lol!!!!” Frank being on-site was incredible and this guy literally lugged my daughter’s heavy suitcase up the stairs for her!!! Amazing – I love Daniel and Frank. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them. I’ve only stayed in a couple of Airbnb’s or VRBO’s, but Daniel is by far the best and most responsive host I’ve come across. Thank you both so much for making our stay so much easier! Summary: My daughter and I had an INCREDIBLE time in NYC – the apartment, it’s location and hosts made this so incredible. This is a 5 star ++++++++ rating and I wouldn’t even bother looking at anywhere else to stay should I go back to NYC – it would be here every time. Don’t look any further – just book this – you won’t regret it!

  • Daniel’s studio apartment was small was extremely well-appointed and nicely decorated with lots of storage space. It had everything you needed plus a washer/dryer! Daniel was a responsive host and although he lives out of town his friend who handles check in and anything else needed has a place in the building. Best of all the apartment is located in the best part of the West Village, with dozens of bars, restaurants, shops, nearby, and both main subway lines a short walk. I highly recommend Daniel’s place, and I know it well, having stayed three months.

    James2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Daniel’s apartment whilst on assignment for an NYC project. Daniel and his team Frank and Rita were amazing! Super communicative, friendly and accommodating, these people truly care about your stay! The apartment is stylish, well appointed and very clean. Perfect for a single or a couple. The building is very secure and well maintained (not always the case in nyc). The apartment is located in the heart of the West Village which in my opinion is the most charming neighborhood in the city. Out of 5 stars possible I would give my stay in Daniel’s apartment 6 stars! Thank you again Daniel, Frank and Rita, you made my stay a pleasure!

    Peter2019-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Daniel for a great 1 month stay in your apartment. The location in the heart of the west village can't be beat. The location is like a quite retreat from the busy center of Manhattan, with tree lined streets and charming architecture. This is the place to stay if you want the 'New York' made famous in all the films and on TV (Carries place from Sex & The City & the 'Friends' apartment buildings are both a 2 minute walk around the corner). Theres world class restaurants + cafe's (like Magnolia Bakery) within easy walking distance along with a supermarket and local deli's. Making your way uptown is a nice walk or subway ride at a nearby station. The actual apartment is very clean, and size wise is fine for a single or couple. The amenities are great and having a washing machine + dryer was a welcome luxury especially while travelling. There's also a weekly maid service to top things off. Would very happily stay again. 10/10.

  • If you want to stay somewhere that is close to the subway and away from tourists, this place is for you! The space is tiny, but functional with a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom (no living area). It worked great for two people. The space is pretty clean and comfortable. It is only about a 3 minute walk to the closest subway, which can take you just about everywhere! This place is also super close to Brooklyn, if that matters to you. This apartment is nestled in Chinatown, walking distance to SoHo, and the area may seem a little intimidating at first, but we walked around it at night and never felt unsafe. There is a train that runs right above the building all through the night and even though I am a light sleeper, the noise didn't bother me at all (I actually kind of liked it). D&N were also super accomadating with letting us check-out a few hours late due to us having an evening flight. Definitely recommend staying here!

  • It's perfect location and apartment with comfortable dimensions for a couple.

    Rosemary2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent space - was expecting something much smaller. The space was very clean, and I appreciated they had coffee around. They were also very welcoming and responded quickly to any concerns. The train was not as loud as I was expecting, and I am a very light sleeper. Overall, very happy with our stay!

  • Great place, close to everything, train really didn’t bother at all, the people who work outside the building are actually louder than the train. Quick response with any questions we had. Great value

  • Although small (it is New York after all), this Airbnb is mighty in hospitality & location, The description D&N give above is perfect and there was nothing negative unexpected, only positives! Location was great with an amazing view of the Brooklyn Bridge right outside & I never felt unsafe, even when walking at night. I’m a super light sleeper and the noise was not bad at all. Overall great stay & listing!

    Kylie2019-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was perfect for our few days in NYC. The apartment is just as described, and has everything you need for a base to explore the city. It is within a 10/15 minute walk to several subway stations, which gave us a good choice as to which one to use depending on where we were going. The check in and check out process is really straightforward too. Thank you for a lovely stay in NYC!

This is a vibrant area with tons of new bars, restaurants, and shops nearby. The neighborhood is bordered by Clinton Hill, Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Crown Heights.
  • Great location and it was very convenient to be able to leave our belongings before checking in and after checking out.

    Angela2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I (19 and 18) stayed at this Airbnb for a week and had a very pleasant experience. Considering you are sharing your kitchen and bathroom space with other guests, the price is very reasonable! There is a market right across the street that was extremely convenient with SO many vegan options that were so great as well. The G station is only a short walk away making it very easy to get around. The location of the Airbnb in Brooklyn (Bedford specifically ) is very ideal in that it is in a central location making it easier to get around to Manhattan and such. Plus, the neighborhood is super neat with great coffee shops (Stonefruit being my favorite) and definitely worth exploring.Overall, we both had a great stay and I would highly recommend for travelers wanting to save some money!

    Claire2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The place is perfect for location and stay for NYC. The subway is very very close within a few seconds walk. The apartment is sparkling clean, full of amenities that you can freely use, a great shower and even aircon in the rooms. The check in and out process is also very easy. Great place to stay.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Miras apartment! It was in a great location very close to the subway station with a super cute coffee and book shop right down the street and across from an organic market where we bought food to make breakfast in her cute little kitchen. All of the guests were super nice and respectful. We would love to come stay again on our next NYC trip!

    Mary2020-02-03T00:00:00Z

    Dan2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place to stay, everything was spotless clean. Really nice personal touches as snack and coffee, washing machine and dryer for free ( really helpful if you don’t want to carry to much clothes with you). Place is on nice street we felt really safe there. Lot’s of shops around and easy to get around.

    Michaela2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Maggie’s place was a great value for what it was. It is very small and private because it is an entire room but also it is part of an apartment style building so you can hear when people enter and also footsteps upstairs at times, private space but keep that in mind. The entire space is very small so keep that in mind also. About a 15 minute walk to the closest train station and then an hour subway ride usually into the city if you’re planning to do tourist attractions.

  • Sean is a courteous, compassionate and conscientious host who is always willing to make your stay as warm and welcoming as possible. I enjoyed having a host who anticipated my needs–even before I did. The apartment space is open with tall ceilings accompanied with a full furnished kitchen for cooking anything and full bath. In terms of sounds for interrupting sleep, well, there is not! I slept so well in the room! It was a very relaxing and comfortable stay at Sean's AirBnB.

  • A really good choice if you want to stay in Brooklyn! The apartment is like it's shown on the pictures. The bed is really comfortable, and so is the shower. The communication with Guillermo was great. The only downside is the noise of the boiler in the apartment, we woke up from it a couple of times. And although we didn't feel unsafe in the area, we get that other people did. But other than that, we really did enjoy our stay and we would totally recommend it!

    Lichelle2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great location close to nice bars, coffee shops, vintage shops and the subway, but set back on a quiet street. Stylish and fairly roomy space with good amenities and a comfy bed. Guillermo communicated promptly, we got in and out with absolutely no fuss. It’s perfect for a short getaway for two, the only issue is the noise from the pipes in the ceiling, it’s not constant and didn’t really bother me at all, but it can be loud at times. Overall it was a nice cosy spot and I’d happily stay again.

    Will2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place looks exactly like the pictures. Very clean, the bed was super comfy and I enjoyed having the small refrigerator to store left over food items. Check in was super easy. The location was perfect with easy access to the train/subway. Guillermo was easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay at this place again.

  • Overall, I was content with my stay at Veronica's home. I had everything I needed for one night. Slept comfortably, and it was nice to have a key to my own room for privacy. I would recommend this place to anyone for sure. Another plus was the fact that I was able to bring my bike indoors so that I don't have to leave it locked up outside overnight, which can be very risky! That was much appreciated.

  • Veronica was nice and very responsive

  • Veronica is a terrific host! Her and her husband are very knowledgeable with the in and outs of New York, quickly responsive to any questions/concerns you may have, and they even gave me a metrocard to use. Their place is a few miles from the city but very close to one of the subway stops.

Private room with its own entrance in a comfortable apartment located in Brooklyn's beautiful Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. The room has two huge windows and gets great light. You will have your own mini-fridge, microwave, snacks, and a coffee/tea station in the room. The kitchen and bathroom are shared spaces with your hosts, Bridgett and Michael, and their cat.
The room is located in a welcoming apartment with wood floors and exposed brick, situated on the 3rd floor of a walk-up building (stairs only, no elevator). I am a vintage collector, so the decor is eclectic and ever-changing. The room has a very private feel as you will have your own outer hallway entrance into the room. The apartment is home to your two hosts, with the bathroom and kitchen areas being shared. There is a closet in the room to store your belongings. The room faces a main Brooklyn thoroughfare, so you will hear some sounds from passing cars and pedestrians. This is typical for popular areas of Brooklyn that also have fast and easy access to the rest of the city. The apartment and room itself are very serene and we provide many amenities to ensure a comfortable stay.
Bed-Stuy is a quickly changing and evolving neighborhood located in a perfect spot for accessing Manhattan as well as other exciting neighborhoods in Brooklyn. Your stay here will give you a very authentic view of what it feels like to be a resident in an eclectic Brooklyn neighborhood. I have lived in this neighborhood for 9 years and know the area well. Please check out my guide to see some of the delicious restaurants and cafes nearby!
  • Amazing space super cool neighborhood and as a finishing touch delicious coffee on the house! Would highly recommend :)

    Valia2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Really cool extras were in the room.

    Thomas2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Bridgett & Michael’s place was a small but cute place to stay! The extra touches like snacks and cute cats made it a fun experience for a first timer! Thank you y’all! 😸

    Sharie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Bridgett’s place was exactly what I wanted and needed in a Brooklyn AirBnB. 1. Kitties. It was so comforting to have kitties around when I go out of town. It’s hard to be away from my fur baby! 2. Awesome suggestions and accurate directions. These allowed me to wear the guise of a hip Brooklynite (at least I hope!) 3. We are all used to certain amenities and having to do without them when we travel. Not the case with Bridgett’s place. Mostly I’m referring to the bidet attachment in the bathroom. It’s literally refreshing to be in good company with folks who know how to properly clean themselves. 4. location! Bridgett’s place was so conveniently located to the metro, great coffee, doughnuts, ramen, bagels...anything you want is no more than 10-15 walk away. If I didn’t have to be in midtown 3/4 days I was there, I would have gladly stayed in Brooklyn for the entirety of the trip.

    Justis2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great and affordable stay in NYC! The place itself is cozy and spotless, with easy access to the subway system. Michael and Bridgett were both very hospitable and great with communication. I'll come back in a heartbeat if I ever find myself in this part of town again!

    Zhensheng2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with a huge diversity of restaurants, stores and people. Easy commute to either subway station from their apartment. Super clean rooms and adorable friendly cats. I will be on the look out for this place when I come back to the city.

    Kj2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Bridgett and Michael are amazing hosts! Their place is cozy with plenty of sunlight in the bedroom, and it comes with a private entrance. The room has a mini fridge, microwave, snacks, coffee, tea etc. They are very thoughtful of their guests' needs and provide NYC guidebook, subway maps, umbrellas (quite useful during our trip) and even a noise cancelling machine! My husband and I loved staying at their place and we highly recommend it 🙂

    Swathi 2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • The room was clean with all the amenities you could ask for. The hosts were friendly and easy to talk to. Highly recommended!

The north bedroom in my 3 bedroom penthouse apartment.
Please don't enquiry for longer/long term. 2) Airbnb has changed their display pricing and are showing customers my rooms at $10-20 a night. This is not the regular rate, it's the last minute price I may have set recently and doesn't include the cleaning fee that we can't manually set based on length of stay and is $50 for laundry and cleaning. This brings the price to it's normal level for my average guests who stay about a week. HAVE YOUR CARRIE BRADSHAW MOMENT - Pop out the window in the living room like Carrie and have a smoke on the fire escape or watch the sunset, or climb up to the roof and have a martini (we usually drink margaritas up there) and have a great NYC moment. BOUJI TO BUSTED - Have drinks on the roof of the Wythe Hotel for $14 and look out over all of Williamburg or spend $5 and get a PBR and a shot at Union Cafe with a taco in their back garden and listen to some live music. 4 YEARS OF AIRBNB HOSTING - 2000+ GUESTS - Yep. That's right. Been doing this for 4 years and have had over 2000 guests so it’s a pretty well oiled machine. Hope to meet you soon! If you have any questions, ask away!
  • Martin is a professional. He is clearly done this before. He is polite and lovely to deal with while letting you know where you stand as a guest in his home. I really appreciate this, there is no need to tiptoe around Martin because you know what's up. If anybody has ever shared an apartment on Airbnb you may have experienced feeling like you're getting in the way, and you're not entirely sure what's annoying and what's not annoying. I feel like Martin has seen it all before. Treat him like a professional and you will have a great time.

  • Martins place was wonderful! Great location for getting around. The room was plenty of space for two of us. The space was lovely and stylish. Loved the mason jar lighting in the hallway - very creative! Thanks for being such an easy going host.
