  • We were last minute planners over a holiday and Diana still responded immediately! The location was perfect. The unit was very clean and check in was easy. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Really nice place. The furnishings are eclectic and rustic. The beds and sheets were really comfortable. There are trains that go by and they are loud but you get used to it. And it’s really clean. Several good food options within 2 blocks, the winery is a mile up the hill and you can walk home from 3 different bars. Great visit. Will return.

  • Loved staying here, my friend and I had a great time, and were both super comfortable. The place is extra sparkling clean. It has a cozy warm energy, and I loved listening to the radio everyday. There is a deck and porch but we didn't use much because it was colder when we went. The place is in the perfect spot in town. Its close to Pier 4 which is a great little breakfast spot! Try the cinnamon rolls!!

  • Very nice 2bd condo in Alma. Perfect for a weekend getaway on the Mississippi River!

    Kyle2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great value. Perfect location in downtown Alma. Very clean and comfortable. No tv, but that was a bonus as I listened to the radio and wasn’t there much anyway. Perfect for my getaway.

    Amy2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little condo in a lovely little town. Alma was a bit smaller than I expected but nonetheless still an adventure. The condo is located in walking distance of a local gas station, as well as a handful of bars. Be sure to checkout the lookout in the park, its quite the view.

This is a beautiful historic apartment with modern decor in the heart of Wabasha. It is only two blocks from The National Eagle Center and a 5 min drive from Coffee Mill. You will also be close walking distance to the river and many nearby restaurants. There is free street parking right outside the apartment.
  • Based on the pictures, I was expecting a stay in a charming little apartment. Not only was it VERY charming, but it exceeded my expectations in so many ways - comfort, style and more. Sarah's apartment is perfect for a creative getaway!

    Brenda2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The place is beautiful. Certainly an unexpected gem in the heart of Wabasha. It worked out perfectly for Grumpy Old Men Days...we made quite the splash walking though town in our grumpy costumes and our Dumb and Dumber plunge costumes...CHAMPS!

    Nate2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Immaculately clean, a perfect combination of classic charm (high ceilings, thick woodwork) with modern amenities and upgrades. Tastefully decorated with thoughtful details.....and a very comfy bed!

    Tonnie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing. We've had many stays in AirBnb's and this one has been one of the best! Sparkling clean from top to bottom, beautifully decorated, thoughtful touches everywhere you turn. She anticipated all of her guest's needs and that makes all the difference. We loved cooking in the kitchen, the super plush towels, easy Netflix/Roku use, the extra boudoir room space with large mirror, and the comfy bed in the sun-filled room. We did notice noise from the bar below (live music) but she was kind to provide ear plugs for guests. Communication was fast and helpful, would definitely recommend!!

    Kristi2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic! Would recommend to anyone! Clean and stylish!

    Jonathan2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s space was lovely for our weekend stay! Perfectly located, extra cozy and well decorated and furnished. The space had everything we could have needed.

    Carleen2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great, stylish super clean place. We had a great stay and enjoyed the space. Would recommend others stay here!

    Melissa2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very charming, clean and updated apartment. We had everything we could possibly need. The kitchen has just about everything you'd probably find in your own kitchen which makes cooking a breeze! The only down side is that all of the street/sidewalk noise is very noticeable. I plan to come back in the summer and would stay here every time! Great experience with Sarah and recommend checking this place out!

    Betty2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place! It's across the street from the Mississippi River and has a view of the river from the bedroom sitting area. It's an old home, which comes with character, charm and older features that you have to enjoy if you want to stay here. You can hear the frequent trains as mentioned in the listing, but ear plugs are provided. The bathroom doesn't have quite the same charm, but the rest of the space is wonderful. Katherine was kind, hospitable and makes a great breakfast. The muffins were fantastic!

    Cindy2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine’s place was amazing, great location, beautiful topography, walking distance to town. 10/10, will stay again.

    Marek2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine's place was lovely. Alma is a quaint little town. I traveled with my husband and 1.5 year old and was happy to find a family friendly bed and breakfast. Katherine made us all feel welcome. If you are here on a weekend in the summer and are able to check out a near by Pizza Farm (we went to Suncrest Gardens)- I highly recommend it! If we make it back this direction (which I hope we will) I would absolutely stay at the Blue Door Inn Cottage again.

    Natalie2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely home on the corner of this cute town! The bed was extremely comfortable. We were there for a wedding, so didn’t spend too much time at the place... but left wishing we could have! Absolutely wonderful!

Welcome to our home. Your private upstairs room is a cozy space with a queen bed and two chairs. The space has independent temperature control so you can keep it where YOU like it. There's a mirror with a dresser, TV, nightstands with charging stations for your electronics and a closet with hangers. Our house is a new-to-us 100 year old work in progress. We try to reflect this in our price. It does include steps that are on the steep side and one bathroom on the main floor that we all share.
Our house originally shows up on local tax records as far back as the 1850's. There have been some additions made along the way leaving a quirky old farmhouse. Our favorite feature is the window in the sitting room that opens up into the wall. Your private spaces are all finished but the common areas are getting a facelift.
We love our neighborhood. It's very quiet and easily walkable. Sidewalks are intermittent but has never been an issue. We are just 6 blocks off the water and within walking distance to many great eating establishments. We are three blocks from the gas stations in town.
  • Our bedroom and the shared bathroom were as clean and neat as a pin! This was the perfect place for a quick, overnight stay as we visited our favorite restaurant. Thank you Amanda, Matt and Aspen!

The decor in this house is clean and simple. We think of it as modern country. The light is incredible with a living room of floor to ceiling windows. The house is surrounded by an apple orchard and rolling hills. Recently featured in Martha Stewart Living July/Aug 2019.
The space is artfully decorated with found objects and natural materials. It has a comfy window seats and a living room that looks out over rolling hills. The house is situated next to two classic barns and a chicken coop. The bathroom has a glass shower that looks out to nature.
The house is 2 and 1/2 miles from Lake Pepin. The area is surrounded by unique bluffs and rolling hills.
  • My partner and I loved it here. The view and lighting in this place is incredible with beautiful artwork all around the place. Super easy to check in and hosts were super friendly and responsive, and even let us grab some fresh rhubarb from the garden! And of course, the bathroom... incredible! My only suggestion is grabbing bottled water and some groceries before going since a grocery store is pretty far from the place! We cannot WAIT to return in the fall. ♥️

  • Lost Creek is truly a special hideaway—comfortable, impeccably designed and very well appointed. The grounds and surrounding countryside are picture perfect. The enormous bank of windows looking out into rolling hills, the wood-burning stove, and the indoor/“outdoor” shower were highlights. Our hosts were very responsive and helped us with any questions we had including great recommendations for enjoying what the area has to offer. Would highly recommend Lost Creek to anyone seeking some R&R off the beaten path but with plenty to do and to explore just a short drive away.

  • The best way to describe our weekend at David and Greg's cottage is magical. The design of the space, the homey feel, the shower/tub (!), the cook's kitchen, the sun room, the comfy bed ... and the private/gorgeous property, wow. We took many walks along the creek and imagined the beauty when everything is in bloom. We can't wait to return and (hopefully) experience the nearby and adorable towns of Pepin, Stockholm and Maiden Rock. Love to you and thank you again!

    Jess2020-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a very nice and relaxing vacation at David's home. When we arrived, it was clear the place had just been fully cleaned. The house and the land are both so beautiful; I loved waking up and reading on the couch in the morning facing the big windows. We also brought our dog Tori, and she had a great time staring out those windows watching the birds fly by. We sat in front of the fireplace most nights (Tori did not like the fire.) David and Greg were great hosts, very communicative and helpful. We hope to come back and try some of the bakeries and restaurants nearby once they're open again. Oh, one tip - the nearest grocery stores were both about half an hour away from the house (there's a Family Dollar nearby). If you are coming from the cities, you will want to pick up groceries before you head out.

  • The Tritsch House Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful old house, with lovely woodwork, stained glass, and views of the river, especially from the second floor balcony. Each room is unique and lovely, and guests have access to the living room, including pool table, dining room, and porches. The hospitality was wonderful, and included a full breakfast and lots of information about the local area. We also had a TV in our room. I can't say good enough things about this particular B&B -- a great place!!!

Completely renovated, now with A/C! Mississippi River views from every room in the house. You can even lay in bed in either bedroom and see the river! We are from the Florida Keys, where locals are known as Conchs (pronounced "konks"), so we named this beach-themed cottage the Conch House. Love the Conch House, but need more space? We also have a 3 bedroom next door, affectionately known as True North. Book both for larger groups.
We took this adorable 100 year old house down to the studs. Everything is brand new and super clean. It's quaint and modern all at the same time. And, oh, the views! Bring your binoculars! Other features include: - New kitchen - Refinished original hardwood floors - Brand new memory foam mattresses - Brand new sleep sofa - Huge, luxurious, walk-in master shower - Heated floors in master bath - Marble-topped vanity in master bath - All new fixtures in guest bath as well - Ceiling fans throughout - All new windows and doors - Enclosed front porch with 180 degree views of the Mississippi River and the bluffs - Side deck with grill, table & chairs, firepit and, you guessed it, more amazing views! - Boat ramp 1/4 mile away
When it comes to things to do in and near Minneiska, it's an embarrassment of riches. We are halfway between the quaint river towns of Wabasha and Winona (15 min from each). Wabasha is where Grumpy Old Men was filmed and is home to the National Eagle Center. Winona features the Minnesota Marine Art Museum, Pickwick Historic Mill, and the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka. We are also 30 - 45 minutes from the charming towns of Lake City, Red Wing, Stockholm, Fountain City (home of the Mississippi Thunder Speedway), and other historic river towns. You will never run out of opportunities for dining and shopping, not to mention the art galleries, antique shops, and museums. Enjoy hiking and bird-watching at nearby parks, including the John Latsch State Park, Great River Bluffs State Park, and Sugarloaf, to name just a few. Minneiska is perfectly situated for hunting and for year-round fishing, with a boat ramp just a quarter mile away. There are also several nearby golf courses to choose from. We are right in the middle of the Great River Road Wine Trail, amidst 11 great wineries. There are three wine festivals a year (Spring, Summer, and Fall). You can even help with the harvest and then partake of a gourmet picnic among the vines! The Coffee Mill Ski Resort is 20 minutes north, and we are surrounded by snowmobile trails with spectacular river and bluff views. The bird-watching from the front porch is unrivaled - geese, tundra swans, bald eagles, white pelicans, sandhill cranes, and so many more. They're all at your doorstep. We are right next door to the shop of an amazing wood carver, Harvey Langseth. Check out his beautiful work. Last, but not least, we are 2 minutes from Buck's Bar & Grill and the Eagle View Bar and Grill - both great, convenient options for awesome food, service, and views!
  • Great views! Very relaxing time.

  • This house is a little slice of coastal heaven right on the Mississippi river

    Vinay2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Conch House was a fantastic place to stay at. From cleanliness to comfort, the entire house was exactly what we were looking for. Joy & Mike we’re in touch if they were ever needed and also were available if we were looking for recommendations around the area. The King bed was so comfy that if we didn’t have other plans I could have stayed in bed all day. The Conch House is just a hop away from Winona where we enjoyed food and drink and several state parks that were awesome for hiking. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with all the things you need for a home base, I would recommend this Airbnb!

    Sterling2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Joy was always quick to respond and her answers were professional and detailed. She is both a flexible and understanding host. The expansive river views were pleasant. The Florida decorations inside made us forget about the cold outside. All in all a lovely stay.

    Idelle2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet clean lovely place to relax and watch the eagles from the front porch. Food and museums just quick drive from house. Wonderful scenery! We will be back in fall to check out autumn leaves and eagles again!

    Judy2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at the Conch House. This is by far the best Airbnb I have stayed at. It was sparkling clean with comfy beds and pillows. It had a very functional and well stocked kitchen and the views were great. A wonderful pre-holiday getaway to relax. Thank you Joy & Mike!

    Lesley2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • It definitively lived up to the reviews! I bundled up every morning with my coffee and sat in the 3 season porch to watch the sunrise, eagles flying by, trains and barges. The woodcarver next door is great..ask about his famous Guinness Book of Records holder great grandfather. Along with all of the other recommendations I would highly recommend a drive into Winona and visit the Minnesota Marine Art Museum, they have Picasso's, Monet's, Whistler, O'Keefe, Renoir, just to name a few famous artists in this really really great museum right on the river.A steal at $7

    Angela2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Super cozy place that was spotless! Beds were comfy, towels were soft and the master shower was amazing! Loved the heated floor in there too. Was happy to find coffee, bottled water and a few other odds and ends on hand. Location was great to walk up to Bucks bar and have dinner/drinks and play some pool. We also enjoyed the outdoor fire pit (made s'mores) on the back porch. Thanks for allowing us to relax at your place :)

  • Kendra’s place was great! Beautiful charming location, well appointed, gorgeous sunsets, super friendly.

    Devin2020-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancé and I took a weekend get away to plan our ceremony and the space and the location was perfect. This unique and beautiful space has inspiring artwork every where! The bed was so comfortable. Large windows provide natural light. Wifi worked great too. We went to a winery close by, Villa Bellezza, which was fantastic. We also had tasty Chai and pie cookies at the Stockholm Pie and General Store. I would definitely return here for another get away or to get out of town to get some work done. Kendra was easy to communicate with and a great host!

    Renee2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kendra’s place was super cool and unique. Wonderful to watch the sunset through the wall of westward facing windows. Not too far from a couple neat small river towns with good food and drink options. Definitely recommend staying here!

    Drew2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Kendra’s! The former schoolhouse is full of character and history. Stockholm and Pepin are just a short drive away. Her art adds to the beautiful surroundings that make up this hidden find. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!

    Roxane2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

    Griffen2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying here. We felt inspired by the open space and art all around, and loved watching sunset through the entire wall of windows. Kendra was communicative and has obviously put a lot of creative thought into the space and creating a lovely experience for guests. Highly recommend. The kitchen was small but still had all of the essentials, including a small oven which allowed us to roast the meal we had planned to make. We hope to come back in the summer sometime to enjoy the bonfire in the backyard!

Small house/cottage with a large, park-like yard on the Great River Road at Lake Pepin, just outside charming Pepin, Wisc. An ideal launch point for adventures on the river and into the hills. Conveniently located for sailing, cycling, fishing, boating, wineries, craft breweries, and fine dining. It's a pleasant venue for relaxation and unplugging from the day-to-day and enjoying life's simple pleasures.
My wife and I love spending time in this cozy home -- in all seasons -- and we think you will, too! It's pet-friendly space (note: yard not fenced) with ample parking for boats or other trailered items. Property includes outdoor power outlet.
I enjoy cycling on the country roads around Pepin and spending quiet time at the cottage. My wife loves sailing and dining at the Harborview Restaurant in town. You're sure to find moments you'll cherish along the Great River Road.
  • This little cottage was perfect for a quiet weekend away from the city. We went snowshoeing nearby, checked out the beautiful lakeshore at sunset, and stayed in with games and books. Would highly recommend!

Secluded cabin with panoramic views of Lake Pepin. Located 3 miles from municipal marina and downtown Lake City. Located on a 16 acre wooded parcel. Full kitchen, newer bath, wood burning fireplace, large deck and patio with a gas grill, smoker grill, and a fire pit. Linens, kitchenware, and wood provided. Great for bird watchers! A lot of wildlife on the property. Easy access to state snow mobile trails.
Please note that 4 Wheel Drive is a necessity during Winter months! The property has a short step hill leading up to the cabin 1/4 mile from the main road. Low traction vehicles (i.e. low clearance sports cars) and classic cars are not recommended at anytime of year. If in doubt please ask. For most of the year most modern cars, trucks, SUV's, and mini-vans are just fine and will have no issues. However, if in doubt please ask. From December through May please message for availability to allow me to assess access and snow removal requirements. I love winter guest but I also need to ensure I can deliver a quality experience!
In the woods! Peaceful, quiet, no neighbors. This cabin is on the site of the old Camp Lakeview MN National Guard Training grounds. The old trails and shooting walls are still visible. Two known nesting pairs of Barred Owls are on the property as well as Re-Tailed Hawks and Eagles visible daily. Deer and fox frequent the area around the cabin.
  • Whiskey Bluff Cabin is the perfect place & space to get away, unwind and relax! It’s private & remote enough in the woods while still being close to town. The fireplace is so nice and the bed was super comfortable. Christopher was very communicative and had a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. Great price and place and we’ll definitely return!

Escape to the quiet of The Larson Retreat. A turn of the century Sears craftsman home featuring hardwood floors and beautiful original woodwork throughout. Our house is pet friendly, with a large yard, and walk-able country roads surrounding. Located in the sleepy village of Gilmanton, in the heart of scenic Buffalo County and Amish country. We are a short walk to a local cafe, general store, and tavern. Amenities include brand new mattresses, cotton bedding, towels, tv, turntable and more.
  • The retreat was extremely clean and well kept. We enjoyed having a central location to travel to other cities around the area. Would definitely come back again.

  • This was the perfect home away from home for a busy wedding weekend. Very clean and nicely decorated. The property was beautiful, wish we would have had more time to spend on the front porch! Very thoughtful local snacks, the stocked fridge was a pleasant surprise 🙂

  • Robin's Larson Retreat is a quiet, clean and comfortable home. Robin is a thoughtful host and we had a pleasant stay. Fresh flowers and vegetables were very much appreciated. The location was a good one for us because we enjoyed day trips to the Chippewa Valley and Mississippi River towns, such as Eau Claire, Alma, and Winona. The hills, farms, rivers, woods, wetlands, trails and wineries were scenic and highly enjoyable.

This is a small guest suite. It has a private entrance with its own kitchen and bathroom, shower, lake view of Lake Pepin. This space is approximately 250 square feet and comparable to a hotel room. It has a daybed with twin trundle and comfortably sleeps 2, anymore than 2 people would be too crowded. It is a great space for the adventurer who needs a place to stay that is nice and convenient to Lake City, Reads Landing and Wabasha.
We are right off highway 61 above Camp Lacopulis between reads landing and Lake City, MN. This unit has a lake view.
  • The lovely birch accents were perfect for this studio space. The decor and fireplace created a romantic ambiance and the day bed with trundle was comfortable and cozy for a wonderful weekend of relaxing and enjoying the winter nights. Even the complimentary wine and tips for where to get breakfast were perfect! Nathan and I would definitely come back, because I bet it’s even more inviting in the summer!

  • Great little place in the perfect location! We had a 90 pound German Shepherd and a 7 month old along with us. The space was small, but it was perfect for what we needed! We also were out and about all the days we were there. Great recommendations from Mike, and so pleasant when we actually arrived the night before on accident. Very accommodating and we can’t wait to stay again. Thank you!!!

    Laura2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place was easy to find and exactly as described. The host provided charcoal, lighter fluid and wood for the fire. The studio we originally rented was having trouble with the tv signal so we were offered one of the bigger tiny houses for the same price of the studio. This was a very thoughtful offer since the price is significantly more on AirBnb. We are happy we our stay at Bohemian Rhapsody. Each cabin has their own grill, fire pit and patio chairs. The morning view from inside the house was spectacular with the wall that was all windows facing the lake.

    Iris Yadira2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I loved our stay at your cozy Birch Studio. Upon arrival we couldn’t believe the beautiful view of the water. Mike was extremely welcoming and helpful with suggestions for activities during our stay and gave us a tour of one of the amazing tiny homes. We loved being able to bring our dog along with us. We will definitely be back to Bending River Cove :-)

Gorgeous, secluded home moments away from Wabasha. Enjoy Septoberfest, one of the many terrific restaurants in the area, Music Under the Bridge, or any wonderful activity this little river town has to offer. The house is fully furnished, with two bedrooms, but with plenty of room to sleep many more. This truly is a one-of-a-kind property with a view that could only best be described by simply reading our reviews. Located between Lake City and Wabasha, in Reads Landing.
While the house is meticulous and spacious, it is the breathtaking view of the entire Tiffany Wildlife Refuge that makes it so spectacular. You can see almost to Durand, Wisconsin. Take a moment to read our reviews. We have the best-kept secret in the area. Fully furnished kitchen; master bathroom off the master bedroom. Huge living space, and a welcoming host available to serve your every need.
  • Lovely house, easy to find and had the best view you can ever imagine. Highly recommend.

  • The pictures barely do this place justice. Spectacular view and an awesome place to stay. Thank you Dale!

    Eli2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Dale’s place was so beautiful, and located in a way that you’d never suspect there was a major road running between you and the river. Place was sparkling clean when we arrived, and Dale was very communicative leading up to our stay. The full kitchen was also great for whipping up a full breakfast in the morning. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet spot to relax and enjoy the river valley scenery.

  • Great View from this place. You will be able to fully relax in this home.

    Scott2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly perfect. The minute you walk in the front door, you will lose yourself in the view! It isn’t just the view that makes this place perfect. The owners have thought of everything. The kitchen is fully stocked with every pot/pan/cooking/serving utensil you would need to have a large dinner party. The kitchen is very large and the table has extra leaves. There was plenty of room for a family dinner and board games afterwards. There was even a disco light/karaoke machine in the kitchen closet. The kids had a blast “entertaining” us with it. The décor throughout the house is beautiful and tasteful. The master suite is huge with a private deck overlooking the river and its own big bathroom fully stocked with towels, hairdryer, etc. There were three airbeds in the master closet and loads of extra blankets and pillows. Bring your binoculars! The eagles were quite active in the morning flying over the river. What a treat it was to be able to sit with our morning coffee, have the gas fire place going, and watch them. I cannot think of a single drawback with this place. Even the drive up the winding road thru the woods to the house was spectacular! We will definitely look to stay here again.

  • Great place for family getaway. Best place I have stayed . Dale has put time into making sure it is equipped with all the thing you could possibly need . Very clean . Comfortable seating and beds . Spectacular view. Highly recommended this place. Close to several area attractions so you can enjoy time out and come back to relax and unwind.

  • The host is kind and welcoming—full of good advice but not intrusive. His house is comfortable and spotlessly clean and comes with a refrigerator stocked with beverages—wine, beer, and soft drinks. The house itself sits high atop a bluff that overlooks the Chippewa River’s delta with the Mississippi. The panoramic views reminded me that our dear planet is indeed a wondrous and glorious place, that it is good to be a part of it.

    Guy2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is simply amazing. From the cleanliness of the home to the views - which, I have to say are some of the most amazing views I've had in an AirBnB. The sunrise is beyond words with the views over the river. Dale spares no expense with the amenities in the home. The home is exceptionally comfortable, quiet and serene. My wife and I and our friends have already made plans to return next year. Don't think twice about booking some time at Dale's property. You'll be happy you did!!!

This Suite is located over the Art and Soul art gallery in town and requires that you walk around the building and through the garden which has been featured on TV and Magazines. You climb a staircase there to enter the apartment.
This apartment offers both garden access with its patio and river views from the front porch which hangs over Main Street below.
  • Enjoyed such a sense filled sisters weekend in the Garden Room! What a pleasant surprise! We were all full of ooooh’s and aaaah’s as we discovered the enchanted garden! We were delighted as we entered the beautifully decorated vintage guest room, and shocked as the first train blew his horn and rumbled past our window! We threw open the windows to enjoy the full effect of being next to the river! So much to explore, including many antique and novelty shops. Will definitely be back!!

  • Such a wonderfully themed room that was so full of character, you felt almost out of time. I made some last minute requests and Dan was an awesome host responding immediately to answer my question. Very polite at check in, and I had to stop and take in the backdrop of the garden setting!!! I would highly recommend this place!!

  • Very charming Victorian apartment in a beautiful little town. A great place for a romantic getaway.

    Victor2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Alma is a charming town and our stay with Daniel in the unit overlooking the lock, river, dam and trains was so interesting to see and be able to watch. The unit was impeccably clean and so nicely decorated with comfy bed and linens. An added bonus was a terrific dinner at the Empire and a sweet early morning treat with coffe at the Alma Bakery, just a block away. Daniel was a great host.

    Linda2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We were floored by the beauty of the garden, and Daniel's collection of fascinating antiques. The apartment/room was decorated flawlessly! He was out of town while we were there, but so responsive, and Jeremy his chef at Empire Room went above and beyond to get us back into our room when we locked ourselves out. Would definitely stay there again!!

  • Fantastic space. Lots of room, great kitchen, nice location right down the road from a coffee shop. Loved our girls weekend here!

    Sarah2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Nestled in the picturesque landscape of the upper Mississippi valley, The pepin cottage is a wonderful getaway! Brad and Danni were amazing. Their thoughtfulness was much better than expected. We spent our Christmas holiday and they made sure every detail was not overlooked. They even decorated the space for Christmas...making sure we had a Christmas tree for Santa to put gifts under! Upon checking in, we were welcomed to the lovely scent of essential oil diffuser that was thoughtfully turned on and the warm glow of Christmas lights tastefully decorating the main floor. Throughout the house are very thoughtful extras. My parents loved the bottle of wine from the local vineyard, the kids loved the endless board games and video games offered, my wife loved the quality of the soaps and shampoo...not the typical warehouse club special found in most rentals, and I loved that all of my family were happy with the home I picked. I asked if there was enough snow for sledding for my 5-year-old and they even thought to bring sleds for her to use! Our stay was wonderful, thanks Brad and Danni!

    Nicholas2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our "go-to" spot in Pepin. Thanks again!

  • A wonderful place to stay-with all the touches that make your stay feel like home.

    Lynette2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Brad and Danni are wonderful hosts. The Pepin Cottage has a very warm, cozy feeling to it. It worked out nicely for a group of guys engaged in outdoor activities In the Tiffany Bottoms wildlife area. This place would be perfect for a group of people exploring the wineries and other activities that the Pepin area offers. I have visited Pepin many times over the years and finding the Pepin Cottage was an added bonus. I hope to book with Brad and Danni again in the future.

    Mike2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a cute little home! My kids loved it. Lots of video games and Board games to keep them entertained. Very thoughtful to have extra items Incase guests forgets anything. The home is very spacious and bigger on the inside than how it looks on the outside. The location was super close to the winery down the road that we were attending. We only stayed two nights, wished we had more time to enjoy the fire pit and the BBQ grill.

    Shery2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Brad and Danni were most accommodating and quick to reply to any questions. Their home is very clean and so well appointed with amenities. Nearly anything we looked for was already there. The home is super cozy. We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed the beautiful area of Pepin. We will be back!

    Ione2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place couldn't have been nicer! The view and location is unmatched in anything we have ever rented before. Clean, with everything you need. Soft towels, comfy bed, well appointed kitchen for eating in. Enjoyed the hot tub. Not pool weather, but it looks relaxing. So many cozy places to settle into, both inside and out. Excellent value for the $$. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

  • Photos don't do it justice. A great location close to bars, restaurants, wineries and more. Waking up to the view of the river was beautiful. Kitchen, dining, living area was great for gatherings. Plenty of outdoor seating. Hot tub was our favorite and was an important amenity. Host was quick to respond. Super soft towels :) Will return next year.

  • Highly recommend!!! Our family was thrilled to have use of this incredible location. The outdoor space is fantastic with room to spread out or have inmate connections. Very large bedrooms and a stellar pool house/bedroom. We where in the area with our adult children and their significant others for a wedding in Pepin WI, at Villa Bellezza... a perfect stay for the event. Every you could need is provide. Well stocked kitchen. House sounds system brought the stay a little extra in the best way!!!

    Katherine2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing experience! The view of the river is amazing and all the openness of the house allows you to see for miles. The pool and hot tub were an added bonus. There was plenty of room for all us (6 adults and 4 children). Terry was an excellent host! Very easy to get ahold of and happy to answer question. He suggested a few fun things to do in the are and all were wonderful suggestions. A great place to enjoy a small town with many little jewels of MN and WI tucked away and not to far away. Overall we would come back in a heartbeat!

  • Quite and lovely place up in the hills . Beautiful scenery and views from every window. Neighbors waived and said hi but pretty much keep to themselves . Easy to get to and from local spots didn’t need navigation after the first time. The Host were readily available and answered all questions quickly pretty much more than you could ask for . Our only issue is that we wish we could’ve stayed longer!!

    Emily2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay, thank you! It was a great stop on a weekend road trip and got to eat good food just a few steps away.

    Ashley2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was beautiful and clean. The surroundings were nice and there is a softball field and playground but beyond that, unless you are a hunter (or love fishing) you will need to drive at least 15-20 min to the closest attraction (a winery!) or bigger town (Alma and Winona). Also, just a note about the General Store nearby: it's closed on Sunday and may close before the scheduled time on the other days (like happened to us). Also, the Waumandee House Restaurant is closed on Monday. So unless you bring your own food (make sure you ask for a fridge to be provided in your cabin) the food options on site may be limited at times. If you plan to make a fire in the communal fire pit, make sure you bring your own wood, as there is only some provided on site.

Although we have just purchased this Camper neighbors I've met are friendly. Because we live in Pepin if there should be anything you need we are handy to talk to. Bedding & linens are furnished, the kitchen has all the essentials needed to prepare & serve a meal, you need only bring your food! Basic condiments are furnished for cooking and seasoning your food. A short drive or even walk to the winery or waterfront.
This RV is all yours for the length of your stay
The waterfront is only blocks away, as is the winery. A public park, Family Dollar, Homemade Cafe are all within a short walking distance. The open air Garden Pub & Pickle Factory as well as Harbor View are also favorites of locals and visitors alike. The Country Stop offers fruits & vegetables when in season as well as yard ornaments & gift shopping. Scattered around Pepin are other gift & specialty shops. Of course Pepin is known as the birthplace of Laura Ingles of Little House on the Prairie fame, visit the museum and come back in September for Laura Ingles Wilder Days.

  • Our family had a great time spending the weekend here. Everyone from age 3 to age 65 loved the space. The patio in the summer would be spectacular to watch the sunset over the Minnesota bluffs. The hosts were easy to get in touch with when we had a small issue and they were also quite accommodating. The kids asked if we could come back to the "renting home" in the summer.

  • This home is beautiful, homey and warm. It's actually much more beautiful than the pictures show. A tiny, historic town very near Laura Ingalls Widler's birthplace in the Big Woods, water, bluffs, sailboats on Lake Pepin (we didn't see them, they were dry docked for winter, but I know they're there). Huge bedrooms, a table each for meals and games, cozy furniture and a cookable kitchen. The shower is wonderful.

  • Our family had a lovely time at this home. The space is cozy, especially the living room, with three sofas and a big chair that overlook the lake. We enjoyed relaxing, reading, talking, assembling a puzzle, and playing games in this space. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were quite comfortable. We were greeted with a loaf of artisan bread and a bottle of wine left on the table for us. The trains, which run on the tracks across from the street, did not bother us. Matthew and Amy were very responsive to any questions.

  • This was our second stay at Turning Waters and we loved it. Can't go wrong with a quiet home in a little town. Breakfast was probably our favorite part about staying here. Oatmeal, scones, sausage, and yogurt with fruit! Delicious! Thanks for hosting us, Brenda!

  • What a great place to stay. I've stayed at a lot of B and B's but the breakfast here was the best ever!!

  • Fantastic hostess. Very responsive to all questions and messages. We didn't hang out in the microbrewery pub (we were out running around a lot), but I've heard great things about it. The breakfasts were 100% top notch. I had high expectations and wasn't disappointed.

  • We had great time saying at Turning Waters! The house is charming and very clean. The homemade breakfasts every morning are amazing, and the home brewed beers were also delicious. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful in finding where to go and what to eat. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our first bed and breakfast experience!

  • We had a great stay with Brenda at her bed & breakfast! The house is beautiful, bright and comfortable. The wrap-around porch with comfy chairs is great for relaxing (with a beer, brewed onsite). Our room was very tranquil and comfortable. Brenda made sure the house was a good sleeping temperature at night, but there was also a fan and a heater in our room, if we needed either. The breakfast was delicious! Brenda made croissant French toast stuffed with cream cheese and fruit and gluten-free/dairy-free rhubarb (strawberry?) white chocolate chip muffins. We also had local sausage patties with maple syrup and fruit and yogurt parfaits (with strawberries from the garden). It’s a great area to stay, convenient to many other river towns, in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. We ate dinner at Nosh in Lake City (which will be moving to Winona soon) the first night. We went to the National Eagle Center in Wabasha the next morning, then crossed over to Wisconsin and took 35 north through Pepin (where we stopped at 404 coffee shop) and Stockholm (where we stopped at Stockholm Pies & General Store) before crossing back to Minnesota at Red Wing (where we stopped at Tree Strings guitar shop). We will definitely be visiting Brenda at Turning Waters Bed & Breakfast again!
