Period cottage in a area of outstanding natural beauty within the Peak District on the banks of the river Dane. Lovely views and walking straight from the door along the river, through the woods and up onto the Roaches, Tittersworth ( Bird Sanctuary circular walk around the reservoir, 5 miles) Ashmount is strictly for 2 guests as you are in my home albeit the space is yours for the time of your stay i live in a totally separate part of the property I am close enough should you require help

There is a lovely walk around the local sand quarry with a stop off at the Waggon & Horses and if you fancy something longer you can head up to the cloud or the roaches. If you are looking to have a relaxing break away from life’s stresses then The Woodland Watch is perfect. The hut is warm and cosy with all modern amenities set on a working dairy farm. Unwind with the beautiful views and stunning sunsets whilst listening to the woodland wildlife. There are also many lovely walks in our area and good access to local shops. We also have a two bedroomed property called Rock End Retreat located at the same address if guests wish to bring a larger group.

Middle Barn, Rushton Spencer

Middle Barn is a recently converted barn which has many original features as well as modern comforts including underfloor heating downstairs, excellent WiFi, and finished to a high standard. Part of the ‘Cliffe Park Farm Stays’ and situated on a working farm which has 3/4 of a mile of frontage to Rudyard Lake as well as having the Staffordshire Way footpath running through the farm, makes this a great base for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Roachside Cottage

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Roachside Cottage is situated in the beautiful Roaches Estate, a former private estate and grouse moor, now owned by the Peak District and cared for by the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. The cottage comfortably sleeps 6 people, comprising of 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed downstairs. The views from every angle of the property are utterly breathtaking. Beautiful secluded romantic lake house retreat

Located right on the water's edge of Rudyard Lake in a conservation area of the Staffordshire Moorlands, this bespoke boathouse conversion is an ideal romantic break for 2 in a very beautiful, quiet setting surrounded by woodland with perfect views up and down the lake. Although we can accommodate 4 in total, Inglenook boathouse is most suited for couples. The sofa bed is comfortable for up to two children but not suitable for two adults.
