“Melissa is an amazing host. She showed great hospitality and very quick in responding. We had a weekend escape with my family. The cottage has a beautiful garden and very close to one walking path to the local pub. The kitchen was fully equipped and there were enough staff(spices, tea, coffee, sugar, bread etc) to prepare breakfast. Melissa also left some complimentary items in the fridge (many thanks for those) . Beds were very comfy. Certainly recommend having a Sunday roast at the Star Inn pub. Over all, we enjoyed our stay very much.”

“One of the best Air Bnbs I have stayed in, the pictures and great reviews really do it justice it was exactly what we expected and more! The location is amazing, with long walks nearby and the beach a 20min drive. The lodge is gorgeous and so cosy with the log burner and fur throws. The interior is stunning with so much thought gone into the little details, to arrive to brownies, fresh bread and milk was just great. Bed was very very comfortable, towels super soft. The communication between Sally and Gavin was excellent and they really were the most perfect hosts, very helpful but also stepping back to let us enjoy the accommodation. We relaxed in the garden most of the time because of the glorious weather and Mrs Wiggles was a great companion! Tennis court was an amazing addition, we bought our own rackets but there are tennis rackets and balls there. If you are thinking of booking this for a romantic getaway do not hesitate! Cannot fault a thing!”

“Having just returned from a weekend with a couple of girls friends in The Wing we are in awe of what a fabulous place Pekes is. The perfect place to unwind and get away from it all, leaving the stresses of family life and work behind. We loved the fabulous architecture, period furniture and artefacts that filled our home-from-home. As we sat in the hot-tub and then swam in the pool surrounded by lush foliage and mosaics we had to keep pinching ourselves to check it was real. Next time we'll be sure to make use of the sauna too. The Wing contained everything we needed for the weekend - milk was in the fridge on arrival and there were enough logs in basket to enable us to have a roaring fire on the first night. Kildare checked in on us the next morning to see if everything was alright and brought us more logs for a reasonable cost. Pekes really is a hidden gem of a place. We promise to return as soon as the opportunity arises.”
