The Boiling House, Beckside

Boiling House is a truly unique, beck side property located in Staithes. The original building has been an integral part of village fishing heritage for many years. Where the log burner now sits, the original boiling tanks sat, a real piece of history. It benefits from double height ceilings, to create a real feeling of space, and is split level with only three steps between floors. As the only property in the village with french doors opening onto the beck side, it really is a place to savour.

Crumbleclive is a beautifully restored 100 year old cabin set within the dramatic backdrop of Crunkly Ghyll. It was originally the ‘Gun Room’ for the local estate in the 1890s! Kindly Light is in the old Wesleyan Chapel in the heart of our beautiful fishing village, close to the Beck where you can watch the boats come and go, and a short walk to the sea. It has been sensitively converted reusing much of the original wood interior, creating lovely light and atmosphere. It is comfortably furnished with everything you need for a perfect stay. This self contained holiday cottage offers a chance to get closer to the workings of a family dairy farm. It is situated in the North York Moors National Park, midway between the moors and the coast and just a fifteen minute drive (or slightly longer bus ride) from Whitby. The accomodation is unusually spacious for a one bedroomed cottage, it is light, warm and very well insulated but don’t forget there is the potential for noise and smells from the farm!
