This lovely private cottage within 20acre gardens has 1 double bedroom, fully equipped kitchen with single oven, 4 hobs, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, table and chairs making it suitable for longer or short stays. The bathroom has full size bath with power shower overhead, and the sitting room 2 double sofas, smart tv and wood burner giving the cottage a really cosy feel. Great base for working, visiting the area or relatives. Short walk to Essex University, 3 miles to Colchester and local villages. A practical first floor flat in Wivenhoe with double bedroom, lounge, sofa bed, bathroom and kitchen. Plenty of parking behind the flat, TV and unlimited broadband. A brilliant shop opposite, a friendly pub next door and bus stop outside with lots of other pubs and shops nearby. Nice walk down to the River Colne and have a drink or meal at the Rose & Crown.

Its thick brick walls and quiet and pretty disposition, defy its former role as a working yard where timber yachts were crafted and repaired, drawn up inside at high tide. Amy was a great host. The apartment was well equipped and so peaceful we slept really well. Amy checked in to check all was OK, which it was. We were with in easy walking distance of all Wivenhoe's amenities. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

A very comfortable stay in a more civilised part of town,very quiet. Very comfortable bed and large air fryer are a bonus. As previous occupants have stated that you will not find a better deal in Colchester for the solo traveller or couple - I will agree on that, would definitely stay again.
