The Tower

The Tower is the perfect romantic high-end getaway for couples who want to get away from it all in a secluded location and fancy just something different. The Tower has recently been converted for use as a holiday let which was previously an unused ancillary building adjacent to The Water Works, an old water treatment plant near Bolsover, converted to domestic use in 2002 and featured on the Channel 4 programme Grand Designs. A beautiful barn conversion surrounded by open countryside. Ideally situated for exploring the northern Peak District. Furnished to the highest standards with on the ground floor, a double bedroom with en-suite shower, fully equipped kitchen (inc dishwasher) ,open plan, vaulted dining room / hall & family bathroom (with Bath). Stairs take you up to a beautiful, open plan lounge with wood burning stove, tv (Freesat) , and of course there is the second double bedroom served by its own stairs.

Private Annex in Peaceful Courtyard

Our comfortable and inviting annex is sited over a converted 200 year old barn and situated in the quiet courtyard of Rose Cottage. This one bedroom accommodation has central heating, a kitchen complete with modern appliances, a separate lounge area with a Smart TV. DVD player (with a selection of DVDs) and free WiFi. The double bedroom has a multi-award winning Emma Original mattress, a Smart TV and en suite bathroom with toilet, wash basin and shower complete with toiletries and towels.

The Coach House Harthill

The Coach House is the beautifully converted annex of ‘The Old Rectory’; a very handsome Grade II listed seven-bedroom period home built by the son of the 1st Duke of Leeds back in 1720, in the pretty village of Harthill. It offers the perfect location to explore Sheffield and the surrounding Peak District, conveniently situated close to the M1 (Junction 30) and A57. The bright and spacious living area comprises a kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms and has off road parking for two cars.

Dolly’s Stable 2 Leger lakes

Relax with family or friends at this peaceful place to stay. The stables have one bedroom and the lounge area has a double sofa bed. There are three stables adjoining so also great for going with friends or family. Leger lakes is a small family run business, three small fishing lakes. The Ruby lake has five camping pods. We have tearoom on site with 5 star hygiene rating. The tearoom is also licensed, Laughton is a small village and has beautiful walks and places of interest to visit.

The Cottage provides spacious and comfortable accommodation in a picturesque country setting. Local attractions include Chatsworth house, Haddon hall, Bakewell, Sheffield Botanical gardens, Yorkshire sculpture park, Sheffield theatres, museums, all within a thirty minute drive.

The Annexe

Check out our reviews. This is the Annexe to our home, detached from the main house, so even though you are our guests you have your own space. There is a large bedroom with a double bed and a second smaller bedroom with a 3/4 bed. Also a double sofa bed in the lounge. Excellent speed Wi-Fi is available throughout . The price listed includes a continental breakfast The neighbourhood is peaceful. Good links to city centre and motorway. Parking either on our drive or out front.

Carnegie Library: Bronte Apartment

Carnegie Library, built in 1906 and continued as a library up until 1970s. This apartment was the reading room. Beautiful original large arched windows bring natural light to the place. It is an unusual layout with mezzanine floor for the bedroom and a little nook area for the sofa bed. Separate bathroom with shower etc. Please note you are coming to an ex mining village so while Swinton it's self is not a holiday area , it is central to many interesting places around.

New Lodge Cabin

A cabin on wheels, made from locally sourced oak and larch. Set within a meadow, surrounded by woodland in Sherwood Forest. Shower with underfloor heating in a shepherd hut. Compost toilets. Outdoor pot washing facilities and dining area. A perfect off grid stay. Our smallholding has sheep, goats and chickens which graze often in the meadow depending on the season. Sherwood Forest and Sherwood Pines are all within walking/cycle distance.

Modern 1-bedroom place with parking & car charging

Recently constructed, this single room is equipped with a double bed, super-fast business Wi-Fi, smart television, wardrobe, electric heater and desk. The space is stylishly designed and has its own entrance. A separate kitchenette with instant hot water tap and all amenities is installed. There is also a modern en-suite bathroom with a shower. There is an electric car charger externally. NOTE: THIS ROOM HAS NO WINDOW.
