The tranquility of the lakes in the forests of Vittsjö

Lovely cottage from the 50s with nice vintage furniture inspired by the same decade. Is the last cottage on the way out on a headland in Vittsjö's lake area, so here you have the peace and quiet, but are still only a walk from shops and trains. The forest is close by and there are lovely hiking areas. Good fishing just meters from the front door. Here you wake up with a view of a beautiful lake! Enjoy the starry sky and the owls' hooting in the evening. From November 1, 2025, we will change one bedroom to a lounge and only accommodate two guests.

Nestled in a rhododendron in the north part of Hjelmsjöborg's park is this octagonal tower Palm House. This is a very unique building where you get a home like nothing else. Five meters in ceiling height, beautiful stuccos, brick paintings, a bathtub in the middle of the bedroom, spiral staircase, a paved patio with a Mediterranean feel and not even a stone's throw from the house is Hjelmsjöns nice tennis courts. In the winter months it can get a little cold, then you have to curl up on the couch and light a fire in the fireplace.

A super cozy timber cabin in the woods. This place is made for the adventurous or for a relaxing getaway. Just take our rowing boat for a swim at the lake, use our digital maps with paths only the locals know walking or biking, take a sauna or just cuddle upp in front of the huge soapstone stove. The cabin is around 50 m² and sleeps 5 persons with 2 single beds and 2 double beds to choose from. Firewood, maps, sauna, rowing boat etc is all inclusive & dogs are of course welcome too!

Hello Was immediately attracted to the exterior of the cottage and the description of the place. The instructions from the host and GPS guided us right away. We, i.e. Ulf, Anna and Sheltien Roschi, enjoyed ourselves from the first moment and would love to come back. We were first met by beautiful free-range chickens, horses in the meadow, rich wildlife and a cozy farm environment. Annika, the host showed us around and gave us an excellent tour and was a very nice and thoughtful host. We ordered a breakfast basket for the first morning and it was really extensive with freshly baked buns, freshly made rhubarb jam and more mums. We are very happy. Roschi liked the chickens. Thank you Annika for everything and good luck with the summer… Best regards, Anna & Ulf Roschi

Cozy cottage for rent.

We had a lovely stay in this cosy house. It is remote and quiet. You can reach it best by car. The nearest bus-stop is about 2km away along a lovely road with loads to see. It's a sand-gravel road, so not ideal for trolley suitcases, although you could definitely make the trip with it. The house itself was in perfect condition and the kitchen comes with everything you might need for your stay. Linda could be reached easily via the Airbnb app and was very helpful with directions.

We had a wonderful family vacation for four with a dog. The place was even nicer than we had anticipated from the photos. We didn't lack anything in terms of amenities. A special highlight was the boat and the kayaks. Our boys fished for zander in the lake for the first time. The communication with Christina was wonderful! We felt very at home and the time just flew by. Although we like to explore new places, we are all sure: We will be back! Thanks Christina for having us at your home. 🥰

The place in the old barn is really something special! The bed is very cozy and the bathroom spacious. Note: it can get a little cold. Thick socks and a sweater were valuable. The house is accessible only by car and is very quiet. The place is the perfect base for many excursions. Mikael and Annette are great hosts, helpful and very funny. Every morning there was a great breakfast and Mikael gave us insider tips for beautiful hikes and the perfect beaches. Thanks for the three beautiful nights! We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back!!
