Eclectic Hideaway with Backyard Pool & Hot Tub

Embrace the blissful ambiance of this tastefully appointed retreat. The home features terraced living areas, rustic wood accents, an array of furnishings and decor, central heat and air conditioning, well supplied kitchen and a backyard patio with a dining space, lounges, gas grill, a solar heated pool and a hot tub. Four bicycles are available for guests to use. Note: Solar heated pool is usually comfortably warm from May to October. It is not heated during the winter months. The hot tub is heated year-round. NO PARTIES: including bachelor, bachelorette, wedding rehearsal dinners, etc. Our 4 bedroom, 3 bath home is approximately 2000 sq. feet. It accommodates 8 guests. The sleeping arrangements consist of 1 Cal King Bed, 3 Queen Beds. The house is located on a small, private cul-de-sac. The neighbors are all friendly, mostly original owners making for a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Noisy parties are NOT appropriate. The dining room boasts a beautiful wooden dining table that seats 8. The fully equipped kitchen has granite counters, custom cabinetry, gas range, microwave hood, dish washer, and an island with counter stools and recessed lighting. Feel free to use all the kitchen appliances, pots, pans, coffee maker, etc. The living room includes a 60-inch smart TV and a Bose surround sound system. The family/game room (stocked with an assortment of board games) contains a fireplace/wood stove, wet bar and opens to the patio area. The backyard has a solar heated swimming pool (cold in the winter months, generally comfortable June to October) and 5 person hot tub (heated year round), and is furnished with comfortable, matching dining and club chair sets. The master bedroom boasts a cal-king sleigh bed with quality bedding and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom includes a queen size bed and a window sitting area. The third bedroom has a queen size bed. The fourth bedroom is located downstair; has a queen bed and is adjacent to the third bathroom. Other amenities include: • Free wifi • Washer/dryer • Gas BBQ grill • 4 Bicycles • Central air/heat Note: this home is a standard "tri-level". There is a shorter than normal stairway (9 steps) between the main floor and the second floor. There is an even shorter stairway (5 steps) from the main floor down to the family room and backyard. Total of 14 steps. This is the same total number of steps (treads) typically found on stairways between the first and second floors of most two story homes. (Additionally, the foyer is raised a little less than a normal stair step.) So, it has the same number of stair steps as most 2 story homes. However, the steps are divided into two shorter stairways. The property is located on a quiet, private cul-de-sac with friendly neighbors and easy access to downtown, parks, and wineries. Home is located just off Arnold Drive near the golf course. The Salt Lick hiking trail is just outside the front door. The townhouse has easy access to the free Summit Shuttle. This shuttle comes every 30 minutes and transports travelers to the ski resorts as well as Keystone, Dillon, Frisco, and Breckenridge for dining, shopping, and entertainment.

The spacious apartment is part of a hacienda style residence that was built over a century ago. The smooth contour of the adobe walls blend well with the more modern kitchen addition that features slanted southern windows for passive radiant heating, in the style of the famous "earthships" that were conceived by Kevin Reynolds. The newly renovated interior was designed for comfort and efficiency and features concrete countertops, salvaged materials from school buildings, a kitchen counter made from a bowling lane, and much more. The kitchen is large and well appointed; it includes extras that you don't often find in a vacation rental: stainless steel appliances, a Nespresso machine with milk frother, a dual oven range, a blender, and a toaster oven. The living space has a thick, soft wool area rug and a large smart TV. The high-end sleeper sofa is amazingly comfortable. The queen bed in the bedroom is also very comfy and has premium linens, down pillows, and a felted wool comforter made in a nearby village. You have the private back yard all to yourself, and it's perfect for outdoor dining in warm weather. When it's cooler, the custom kiva fireplace will keep you warm. You can cook outside on the built in outdoor grill. You can probably squeeze four into the 3-person hot tub. The front door of the apartment opens onto a lovely courtyard with a large old apple tree, a grassy area, and a plum tree. The apartment has a dedicated parking space just a few steps from the back door in a private lot. You have the private back yard and hot tub all to yourselves. The middle courtyard is shared by all condo owners. I am often available to meet you upon arrival and check you in myself, but if not, I will have my apartment manager greet you. If you will be arriving at night, I can leave a key for you. The apartment is located in the old historic district of Taos. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and situated for easy walking access to the plaza and the downtown area.
