Houseboat on Quartermaster harbor, Vashon Island

BridgetRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Friendly host and marina- felt cared for. The boat house we had seen before and always wanted to stay at- enjoyed our time there and want to come back. The boat house had a lovely deck and was all new inside. We were able to connect our phones to the Roku Tv. The seals were hunting in the morning as the tide was going out- a really enjoyable sight.
A floating cabin is situated amid vibrant green trees, resting on clear turquoise water. The structure features a spacious deck with several blue items along its edge. Nearby, two boats are tied up, surrounded by a tranquil marine landscape.

Floating Lodge off Bligh Island (Nootka Sound)

If only the fishing had been a little better we could have spent more time at the cabin. Overall it was an awesome place to spend time, cook, talk and hangout with my Dad, Brother and Son for a week. Hope to do it again next year!

Enjoy Paradise in an Exquisite Floating Home!

RobRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Had a wonderful stay at Alan's floating home. It was very comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated with all the amenities we needed for our stay. The area is gated and secure for both the home and vehicles. Close to Lonsdale Quay and a quick ferry ride over to downtown Vancouver. It was a quiet and peaceful stay. Seals came to visit regularly in front of the home and played in the marina. It should be noted that the marina itself is not the same as what the pictures suggest. We were expecting views of docks and boats right in front of us, and perhaps the extra activity that comes with that. These are all gone now! The marina is completely open with unobstructed views towards the Vancouver skyline. Very much better in our opinion. Another thing of note is that, being a floating home, there is some rocking from time to time. Sometimes a little, sometimes more than a little, but never for very long. We found this to be quite the novelty and actually soothing. 100% recommend.

Historic Ark on the SF Bay with dock and sauna

ScottRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Noah's place was great if looking for a peaceful location right on the water. If you boat, SUP or kayak, even better. Noah lent me a SUP and enjoyed it almost everyday. The place is roomy for a couple (maybe also with a small kid). The dock is great to relax on and BBQ. The place is in nature so be ready for birds, foxes, seals, rays, and other animals cruising by; saw them all.
A spacious deck features a variety of lounge chairs arranged on a striped outdoor rug. Large windows provide a view of the surrounding trees and water, while a green metal roof adds a contrasting touch to the building's exterior.

Delightful Houseboat Vacation

PhongRating, 5 stars21 months ago
Spent three nights on Lonni’s houseboat. My son always wanted to fish the delta, and Lonni found a perfect place for the houseboat to be docked. If you’re into fishing, take the kayak out for a spin, you won’t regret it. Lonni was in constant communication, and gave last minutes of what to bring. This is glamping at its finest. Checked in via text to make sure we were ok and if there was anything we need. Lonni is very personable, outgoing, and helpful. Would definitely come back in the future.

Halibut Cabin / 3 Bedroom Floating Cabin

TroyRating, 5 stars34 months ago
Unique lodging experience, located very close to town. Place was very clean and no issues. The unit’s 2nd floor access is via a ladder, and 2 of the 3 beds are located up there. Could be an issue for those with mobility problems, small kids or pets. King bedroom and couch on the main floor for sleeping. Parking was not included, but you can access a cheap pay lot very nearby on the corner of 3rd and Main St, which has overnight parking. Pearl was very flexible with boat transport to and from the town and was really kind to give us a tour of the island.
A brightly colored floating cabin is depicted, featuring a vivid turquoise exterior. The cabin is adorned with various buoys and marine decorations. Surrounding water is calm, with sailboats visible in the background under a partly cloudy sky.

Seabass / 1 Bedroom Floating Cabin

There was a magic upon arriving at strawberry island. It was as if I was in a adult playground. colorful floating houses, interwoven by floating walkways with some of the best views canada has to offer. Unbelievably Joel was able to improve the initial feeling by offering little magical treats to compliment our stay. for example placing a crab trap out side our door enabling us to have fresh crabs for diner. Thanks for the Ling cob Joel. I would highly recommend Strawberry island for your next stay in tofino

The Dockside Retreat on Harrison Lake

JimmyRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had a great stay. The boat is spacious and had everything we needed. A full kitchen was very useful. It comes with the typical quirks of a houseboat (occasional rocking, light pump noises, etc.) but had far nicer beds, kitchen, toilet, and shower than most other boats I've been on! It's a short walk into town, but far enough away to feel a little more remote, and there's lots to do in town and in nearby Agassiz.

Romantic Floating Retreat

KelseyRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a great stay on Mark’s house boat! It was a beautiful spot to spend three days enjoying Victoria. We were visiting on our bikes and were able to lock them in a secure spot within the Marina. It was a short 10-15 min bike ride to downtown which was perfect. The boat is small but very comfortable. The kitchen setup worked great for making meals on the boat. Everyone we encountered at the Marina was really friendly and Mark was helpful with anything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect 2BR Lakefront | Balcony |

ShannonRating, 5 stars8 months ago
The per-night charge was great; however, the $180 cleaning charge for two people for two nights was excessive (the cleaning charge was more than the nightly charge combined). I wish they would just advertise the total cost rather than slip in that cleaning charge (and we are extremely neat people who barely use anything). The place was as described. Great location. A little hard to find D dock at first, but Google helped. Very quiet little boat neighborhood. You can walk to a few restaurants, including a greasy spoon (Captain's Wheel) and a newer Italian restaurant (used to be JD's) called Taverna, which was pretty good, if not a tad pricey for the area. There's a waterfront pub-type restaurant and a taqueria within walking as well. The house was very clean, and although quirky (we affectionately called it the Winchester Mystery Boat House), it was eclectically charming, comfortable, and really fun to be on the water. Added bonus - you can bring a boat as there's plenty of dock space.
A houseboat is docked along a tranquil waterway, surrounded by dense green trees. The boat features a spacious upper deck equipped with lounge chairs. A wooden dock extends alongside, providing access to the water, while the sun reflects off the lake's calm surface.

"AT DOCK" HOUSEBOAT VACATION

TanyaRating, 5 stars23 months ago
We would highly recommend staying at Dave’s. The location is exceptional as is Dave’s willingness to ensure we had the best stay possible. He moved the boat so the kids could have the best slide area into the lake and set up the awning on the top deck so we could get some shade. He was so friendly and available for any questions. We will stay again!
A cozy living area is highlighted by tall vaulted ceilings and large windows offering a view of the water. A wooden ladder leads to an elevated space. A comfortable seating area is present, alongside a coffee table and a wood-burning stove, adding warmth to the rustic aesthetic.

Puget Island Floating Home

NancyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lisa’s place on Puget Island near Cathlamet was just awesome. We had our 12 and 8 year old grandsons with us. They had an absolute blast. They loved the pedal boat and used the tubes and SUPs as well. We were fortunate to have great weather, and the boys loved jumping off the deck into the water. Sooo many birds on the slough, we saw herons..we also went to the nearby Garden store. Delightful place as well. Great area and house.. thanks Lisa..

Sara and Ray, along with their family were great hosts. They checked us in and showed us around their property. There are lots of communal spaces along with kayaks and standup paddle boards to enjoy during our stay. It was a nice camp get away.
