Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Rockport

We have been fortunate to have almost universally positive Airbnb experiences, but this one was special. There are absolutely flashier homes out there, ones closer to the beach, or closer to an influencer’s ideal. But Bon Temps Rockport felt like home. From the exceptional hospitality shown by Natalie and family, to the thoughtful decoration, the convenient to Rockport and only 30 min from Corpus location, and even an easy checkout that was not the onerous list of requirements some properties are known for, this place is special and represents the best of what Airbnb can be. All to say I happily recommend Bon Temps Rockport to anyone looking to stay in the area. Our family can’t wait to return.

This was our second time staying at Roland’s place. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The house is very clean. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and essentials for cooking. The pool is perfect for the days that we just wanted to kick back and chill at the house. He was quick to respond to any messages we sent. A++ host!

We stayed for a girls weekend and loved it! Close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The house was super clean and had everything we needed! The host was responsive and made check-in a breeze. Would definitely book again for our next beach getaway.

My sister and I enjoyed staying at Pelican Cottage. It had everything we needed. It was centrally located and close to the water. We would stay there again.

Beautiful home with unique quarters for an amazing stay. The covered pool was great to swim and cool off in when it was the hottest point in the day. Plenty of space for family get togethers with a grill to have a nice cookout. Would definitely recommend booking this home for your next coastal vacation!

Host (Josh) was very quick to send out a pool guy to clean the pool when we got there. He sent his pool guy out within the hour after we notified him that the pool was “a little cloudy”. This was really the only issue we had while staying there. Everything is centrally located and the home itself is kept in “Pristine” condition! We would definitely recommend this rental home for a small family.

Great place to get away an relax. House had everything you need from pool floats and kayaks to charcoal grill dishes and toiletries. House was very clean and well maintained. Fishing dock was great with crab cages and cleaning station and green lights for night fishing. All the beds were very comfortable. The only thing that could’ve made it even better would be to have a bathroom downstairs near the pool. Kristen made everything easy for check in and check out. 10 out of 10 will be going back.

This is a total gem! The location is right by the beach and the pool and playground are amazing. This is the second time we stayed. Janis is very helpful and responsive and we had no real issues. The place itself is a little small, but for 2 adults and a kid its perfect and we spent most of the time outside. Gorgeous deck. The couch is somewhat uncomfortable but again, not a deal breaker. Overall we love this place and will probably stay again if she will have us.

I was hesitant at first because this appears to be an older building, BUT, the interior of this condo was virtually updated, fresh paint, kitchen cabinets, counter tops, the furniture was new, along with all the linens. The whole unit was bright and cheery. It made me happy that the king size bed was soooo very comfortable along with the pillows. The view from the patio was great. It had four outdoor Adirondack chairs with attached tables. Because the chairs were tall and the unit is on the 4th floor we were up high enough to sit comfortably and see way down the coast. Also, it's important to mention that the staff at the reception desk were friendly and helpful answering all our questions. All and all, we were delighted and totally enjoyed our stay there!

Honestly, had an amazing time celebrating my sister’s birthday!! The condo was in a perfect location walking distance to the local shops. The pier was amazing. Thank you so much for allowing us to check in a little bit earlier. Until next time Laguna Reef.!!

Victoria and Thomas were very attentive and helpful during our stay! We didn’t need much but they were quick to respond to any questions we had. The property was clean and a perfect size for our party of 3. The laundry facilities were clean and efficient. It’s a well taken care of property. We would definitely stay here again!

The condo was great. Location was easy to get to grocery, beach, restaurants…etc. Even though its a community, it was still quiet and peaceful. The condo itself was well taken care of and very clean. Kelli herself was very responsive and easy to work with. She was very sweet and easy to talk with. Definitely would visit again!

This was our second stay at this great condo in Rockport. We love the clean unit and easy access to the pier. Would recommend!

This condo was perfect for our family. Easy walk to the beach and had everything we needed. Lou was helpful and responsive.

You can spot cat-themed decorations in every corner and every little place — it's full of fun and surprises! Everything from toys to furniture handles to Monopoly pieces might be cat-related. The space is arranged to be incredibly cozy and comfortable. As for the ducks — they’ll come running toward you with excitement, completely unafraid of people. Sometimes they can be a little too friendly, so be prepared! Many restaurants are located within a 10-minute drive, offering a wide variety of choices — some are even within walking distance.

Great space for a family of 6 adults and 2 kids. Family with kids downstairs allowed privacy and upstairs we enjoyed the extra balcony! Beautiful space right on the water, comfy couches, and overall clean when we walked in. The host was very quick to respond and accommodating when I had questions or concerns. There is no fishing net, so bring your own! We missed a pretty big flounder for not being prepared, but still caught some drum and little reds. Loved being able to fish right off the dock. Only suggestions I have is to add some extra chairs at the dining table because some are missing and the door lock makes a loud noise if you leave it open for too long. Locks on the bedroom doors would allow for more privacy. One cabinet in the kitchen doesn’t close all the way but not a big deal! I would stay again!

Amazing!! Stayed 4 days: Grandparents with Mom and Dad and a 1 year old. Condo was clean enough for the baby to crawl on the floors. Bedrooms on either side of the living room with bathrooms were perfect to make everyone comfortable. King BR big enough for a PacknPlay and dark enough for a good nap. Kitchen had everything we needed. Entire building and grounds were well maintained. Pool was sparkling clean. Enjoyed interactions with staff, other guests and people who lived there. We have been to Port Aransas 5x and this is The Best location! The beach was close enough to go back and forth to the unit several times in the day as needed, and to enjoy walks in the early morning and night. Brought a light weight folding wagon for the baby with us. So easy and she loved it. The balcony view and sounds - so relaxing. This place has it all! Already planning for next year.

Fantastic condo! We spent 5 nights there. The location is great, just a few minutes walk to the beach. The condo was bright & airy, very nicely decorated, and immaculately clean. Beds were very comfortable. Though we had brought our own, it was a nice surprise to find extra beach towels, beach chairs, and shade canopy available for use. The extra drink refrigerator was a great feature. Kids enjoyed the outdoor pingpong table and pool, which was very nice. There was ample parking. Wendy, the host, was very responsive. The only negative is that 2 of the nights there were people very loud in the pool/hot-tub until the wee hours, which kept us up; but that's just poor etiquette of other guests, not the owner's fault (signs are clearly posted stating that pool closes 10pm). Overall this is a wonderful place to stay and we'd love to go back!
