Cottage vacation rentals in Rochester

Alecia and John were meticulous hosts from the well curated guide book to their responsiveness when we had questions. All made for a wonderful family fourth of july! We look forward to returning.

We definitely have never stayed in a rental that was so CLEAN! Aside from the labels, it felt as if we were not staying at a rental property at all. When we go away, it’s nice to stay somewhere that’s close to as nice and comfortable as home. We were warm and cozy. The house had everything and way more than we needed and we would like to see how beautiful it would be in the Summertime. The house was spacious and we loved the history and charm that it possesses. The hot tub was a major draw and sparkling clean also. It snowed practically the entire visit and felt private with all the trees surrounding the property. A huge perk was the proximity to Okemo and Killington for the boarders in our group. With the looks of the Volleyball net and court, presumably the owners are fans of the game! Bravo, Alecia- we thank you for your hospitality!

The house was beautiful and had a bunch of nature space and can tell is very kept up and taken care of. The house inside is beautiful and clean. The hot tub with the nature view is amazing. Deff would give this place a 10/10 and recommend to people looking for a private and peaceful area. Only thing is no service if not from area and restaurants and grocery stores are alittle far out but other than that great place to stay!

Great house with plenty of space and beds. Living room had ample couches and great for our group to hang out there with the fireplace and hot tub off the back deck of kitchen. Kitchen had all necessary cooking pots/pans/utensils. Easy communication with the hosts and would return.

Perfect place for a ski weekend with a group of friends. House was exactly as described, check in was extremely simple, and all the amenities were in full working order and easy to use (special shout out to the hot tub which was amazing after a day out on the mountain). Location is less than 10 minutes from the Skyeship gondola, less than 20 from the main Killington base areas, and easy to find just off of the main road. Overall we had a great time and would 100% stay here again in the future.

This was our second time here, and we loved it just as much as we did the first time. Our dog really enjoys it as well!

Staying at Andas Hus was an Airbnb experience on another level. This little cottage has everything that you could ever need for an extended getaway- we did so much cooking, wandering, made full use of all of the tech, and enjoyed the hot tub for several nights. We had four adults sharing the cabin and it was more than enough room for us. Matt was super responsive and kind when we had questions about the stay. I'll absolutely be recommending Andas Hus to any of my friends and relatives looking for a New England getaway, and maybe we'll be back someday!

We had such a great family stay at The Cozy Cottage. You can tell that the home was very well built and it was extremely comfortable for our family with kids. The wood stove is awesome and heats up the whole house with plentiful wood in the basement and instructions to use the stove. The house was very clean and well appointed. We spent 2 nights there while we skied Sugarbush and the location was great for us. I would definitely recommend this home and look forward to returning next year!

Libby’s cottage is so quaint and beautiful! The rural Vermont scenery was so peaceful and relaxing. We especially loved the rocking chairs on the porch. Libby and her family were so friendly and made us feel right at home. My toddler loved playing with her kids, who so kindly showed him all over their beautiful property! Their dog is so sweet, too! We had such a wonderful weekend. Thank you so much for hosting us!

Second time staying with Angela and it was just as great as we remembered. We love the peaceful location in Pawlet - far enough away to disconnect from city life while still being a close enough drive (15-30 min) to great local restaurants in Dorset and Manchester. The space itself is cozy and rustic, keeping its historic charm in tact, while having thoughtful updates to the kitchen and bath that make it functional for everyday use. The shower is incredible and the bed is so comfy, one we actually looked forward to sleeping in again! Angela was a great host and provided us with local coffee, crackers, and their newest Pawlet cheese for enjoying. Already looking forward to visiting again next summer!

Dear Sandra, The cottage was great. It is less than 5 miles from our family in Reading. We came to visit our daughter and her family, our only 3 grandchildren. Everything we needed was available. Every morning I had my coffee while enjoying the beautiful view. My husband has mobility problems, and he was able to get around fine. Shattuck Hill will be our only place to stay when we visit. One of the cleanest and comfiest Airbnbs I’ve stayed in. It was a last minute trip and this exceeded my expectations. My sister and I were saying we had the best night of sleep we had in years! There was a huge snow storm and the owner was so accommodating and very easy to get in touch with. We can’t wait to come back 😊

We loved staying at Greg & Karen's place! It is a lovely, recently built carriage house that is very homey and clean. Comfortable bed, good shower, and a well-equipped kitchen. The location beautiful and somewhat remote, but also not too far from Burlington. The carriage house has a window that looks right into where there are horse stalls for their three horses! Unfortunately, rainy weather prevented us from walking the beautiful grounds and visiting the horses up close. Greg and Karen were very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend a stay at Valley View Farm.

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at the cottage. My boys loved sledding on the hill off the front porch the most. We wished it was warmer while we were there to be able to enjoy the property more and try the snowshoes Amy was graciously willing to lend us. This is a great place to stay as a family with plenty of things to do within an hour radius. Thanks Amy!

The location is peaceful and beautiful. Loved having our morning coffee on the dock overlooking the lake and autumn leaves. Enjoyed kayaking to Paddlers Pub for drinks & food. The cottage is very cozy and just enough space for 2 people.

Exceeded all my expectations. The property was the perfect escape for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat. One of the standout features was the private fire pit, where we spent every evening roasting marshmallows and making s’mores under the stars. The owners really thought of everything. They provided kayaks for us to explore the calm waters at our leisure, which became a daily adventure. The house itself was immaculate, tastefully decorated with a rustic-chic vibe, and equipped with all the modern comforts you could ask for. Highly recommend!

Peter was a great host! He was very responsive to all of our, sometimes silly, questions. the cottage was cozy and had the perfect amount of creature comforts. love all the windows, let in the sunlight and perfect view for the sunrise! just what we needed!

This house on Sterling Brook was amazing! All of the windows and deck overlooking the brook were wonderful for the stunning view. This is one of the nicest Airbnbs we’ve stayed in and would love to go back. Our only complaint is that we didn’t book it for long enough!

Caroline was very friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay! Plenty of clear instructions to help out with newcomers and perfect recommendations for the area around! The property itself and views are gorgeous. The cottage is delightful, cozy and a wonderful place to rediscover the beauty of being mindful and present with loved ones. Absolutely loved every minute spent here. We had plans for a lot of nearby activities, but the property was so stunning we decided to enjoy it and stayed home. We cooked, had tea by the river, played games and engaged in deep conversations. There were awesome restaurants within 30 mins of driving. We bathed in the river, played in water quite a bit. Linda and Chris were supportive, very responsive and always there for us. Thank you for sharing this stunning property with us. I hope you be back. We were a group of 3 - and we were welcomed with a cute hamper and lots of warmth. Don’t miss the game room - which has a separate entrance from the main house.

Morgan is the perfect host, providing everything necessary to a magical stay in their remarkable cabin. I had complete privacy and quiet, but knew she was readily available if I had any questions or needs. The cabin itself is a wonder of architecture, with every detail carefully thought out and rendered. There are books galore and CDs, the slipper foot bathtub is amazing, and the back patio offers a peaceful view of trees and meadow. The property is dotted with wonderful sculptures by her husband, Alan. I watched the sun rise and set and walked down the very dark night road to look at the stars. The woods are my favorite place to be, and there was no shortage of local hiking trails. The general store just down the street is staffed by very friendly folks, and I bought a new favorite coffee mug made by a local artisan. In short, my stay was everything I hoped it would be, and I would highly recommend it.
