The Cabin @ Atlow Mill - secluded retreat for two

JoeRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Wow! We had an incredible stay at the Cabin @ Atlow Mill. The whole set up at Atlow Mill is beautiful and without fault. James was helpful from the start, sending us clear instructions, information and even offering flexible check in. When we arrived, James greeted us - even insisting on carrying our suitcases to the cabin ☺️. James showed us around the cabin, explained where everything was and showed us how to use everything. James also provided really helpful tips for walking routes, parking, where to eat etc. The cabin itself is immaculate, finished to an incredibly high standard and well stocked with all you could need - even Prosecco ☺️. As per one of James’ recommendations, we walked across the sheep fields into Hognaston and enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Red Lion. We also enjoyed a trip to Carsington with a long walk around the reservoir. We could not praise or recommend the cabin at Atlow Mill, and James & Chloe as hosts, more highly. We hope to be back again soon!

Rock Cottage l Hidden Gem l Matlock

AnneRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We’ve just spent the most wonderful weekend at the beautiful Rock Cottage. Rebecca has put so much thought into creating a cosy, relaxing space, with a lovely blend of rustic-style decor and high-spec features throughout. This thoughtfulness was also evident from the moment we checked in and saw that Rebecca had prepared a birthday greetings garland along with birthday wishes and welcoming gifts, which was so generous. We were also blessed with good weather, which meant that we could enjoy the gorgeous, spacious garden and summer house, an absolute delight on both evenings. With fab walking trails nearby as well, it’s simply the perfect base to lose yourself in nature and unwind.

Beautiful, large double bedroom with own bathroom.

GwladysRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Our stay with Fiona and Paul, and the lovely dogs was great. It felt like home, the chamber and bathroom was nice, we enjoyed the garden, a place on the fridge and toast our bred (or sometimes the homecooked bred from Paul) in the large kitchen. The place is peaceful and we appreciate the recommendations to eat or drink.

Cosy attic room with dbl bed nr town centre

PaulRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Adrian and Debs were very welcoming and friendly. They were easy to relate to and helpful in giving advice about the local area. The room is lovely and the bed very comfortable. The location is very good in terms of access to the town centre, local buses, take-aways and a very good real ale pub. It was lovely to have good quality muesli, tea and milk provided for breakfast. I heartily recommend this great place to stay.

Wicket Green Cottage

The cottage was cosy and clean. Ant was extremely helpful with communication and answering questions, replied within 2 minutes. Perfect place for local hikes. Beware that village pubs and cafes aren’t open on Monday’s and Tuesdays. But can’t fault the accommodation and location. Thank you, Ant.

Peak District Hideout, Stunning Eco Cabin

CarlRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful weekend at Charlotte’s Tiny House near Bakewell. The location is perfect—just a short drive to Bakewell and Chatsworth House (great farm shop). The fire pit and BBQ area were ideal for relaxing with sundowners, and waking up to the view from the bed through the full-height window overlooking the valley was absolute bliss. A peaceful, well-thought-out retreat—100% recommend!
