Family-friendly vacation rentals in Rio Arriba County

This was a really special and unique house. It worked out very well for our group of two families with young kids. The location felt very remote and the drive up would not be for the faint of heart in bad weather, but the views were beautiful. It was about equidistant to going to the mountain for skiing and into town, which made it convenient. Kitchen was very well equipped as well. Overall would definitely recommend!

Casa Maravilla offers a beautiful escape in the warm and picturesque town of Taos. The casita is nestled at the end of the road, providing tranquility and privacy with a gorgeous vista to wake up to every morning. It was a delight to speak to Tara and Jean Jacques in the mornings as they tended to their garden. This is a beautiful stay. Highly recommend.

This was a perfect spot for us. An easy walk to downtown, Kit Carson Park, some of our favorite restaurants. The unit was quiet and clean. Good parking for one vehicle. Thank you.

This little cabin was very cute, neat, and tidy. The king size bed was very comfortable. The deck space upstairs was beautiful, surrounded by trees and was very quiet. The location is one to two blocks away from a little grocery store, excellent restaurants, and quaint shopping areas. The spiral stairs to the upstairs bed room and deck are really fun but won't work for someone with mobility concerns.

One of our favorite Air Bnbs! Beautiful house and gardens. We loved absolutely everything about this house. The location was close to town and also the ski valley to be able to do all the hikes we wanted to do. Beautiful scenery. Great restaurants. Medley right around the corner was fantastic. Would stay here again without a doubt!

Pictures don't depict how comfortable, well-thought-out and fully equipped Tammi's place is. Don't be put off by the fact that it's a studio. This is the best use of space I've experienced. It felt roomy and cozy at the same time. We always cook in our rentals and Tammi's kitchen had everything we needed and all was first class - no yard sale utensils! The patio had several comfortable sitting areas to get out of the spring winds (always in NM!) and enjoy morning coffee or evening drinks. The casita is located out of town, which we wanted, but once you're there you realize how very convenient it is to the various sights in Taos. The view is worth the price alone. Our first night there, the winds were ferocious, and Tammi checked on us several times and made sure we knew where emergency candles, etc. were in case the power went out. We hope to return and stay for a longer period of time - it was just so peaceful and relaxing. We would give it 10 stars if we could!

Absolutely wonderful stay at Valdez Vista. The home is private, well appointed and has amazing views. Great location for day trips in the area and just a few minutes to downtown Taos. The hosts are great as well!

I have traveled all over the beautiful USA and Taos is an absolute gem. Rex's earthship was the perfect spot 15 minutes from everything. It was tough to leave.

Loved the solitude and surrounding mountain views of the casita along with quick access to Taos or the ski valley. Would definitely stay here again .

This was a wonderful spot. The space shows a lot of care and taste, and it's a lot bigger than it looks in the photos. The beauty of the mesa is unparalleled, with a fabulous view right outside the door. Ben was a great, friendly host.

The minute we arrived we felt at home yet also appreciative of how special the space is. We enjoyed the experience of being in a home whose comfort came from the earth and sun. The architecture, engineering, and philosophy are admirable and inspiring. We were grateful to have a pet friendly earthship option to accommodate people like our family, traveling with dogs. Favorite things: family of jack rabbits adjacent to the house, coyotes howling in the distance, quails and rock wrens, and a close herd of cattle lowing at sunset.

My wife and I were looking for a place to spend our first anniversary that was quiet and beautiful. This casita was exactly what we were looking for. It feels very remote, and the 360 degree views are absolutely stunning. The home itself was very comfortable and clean, we had everything we needed during our stay. Larry was very helpful, and we can tell he definitely does everything he can to make his guests comfortable. Overall, if you are looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature and serene views, my wife and I would both agree this is a great place.

My family and I enjoyed the place very much. The home was perfect and the views were great ! Will definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit the area for any reason was close to ski slopes and the Rio grand gorge hike had some amazing views . WE love this little place and the complex. This is our second stay here. Convenient skiing, lots of shops in Taos, great music venues. good restaurants. What more could you want!

Everything you could want was available in this suites hotel resort atmosphere. All attractions were within walking distance. Perfect all around!

We’ve stayed here several years in a row over Thanksgiving. It’s a great location-between Downtown Taos and Arroyo Seco (lots of good dining options there!). The property is exactly as described and Monica is always incredibly helpful and responsive. The property is also VERY well stocked. We were never lacking anything in the kitchen or bathrooms.

Condo was clean, well-appointed and perfectly adequate for a stay of a few days in Taos. It's more like a hotel room with a Murphy bed and kitchenette; however, it did appear to have been recently remodeled and updated. The resort has a game room, pool, communal kitchen, lounge area and laundry available for use. The location of the property is walking distance to the plaza, Kit Carson Park, and many other restaurants and attractions. The price seemed a bit high for the actual room, but it was a holiday week so I'm sure that had some bearing on the price.

Our family had a very peaceful and relaxing stay at Casa Coyote! The house was very spacious and comfortable, with beautiful views and loads of prairie dogs and cows to enjoy watching, gorgeous sunsets and very peaceful surrounds. We enjoyed the private hot tub and grill. The house is very welcoming with comfortable beds, well-fitted kitchen, high ceilings and pretty art throughout. It wasn’t easy to go for walks from the house due to the roads not having much shoulder, but a short drive to trailheads, 15min drive to the ski area in one direction and Taos in the other. We also enjoyed the nearby Arroyo Seco town with cute cafe, mercantile and galleries. Highly recommend if you are looking for a private, peaceful place to unwind!
