Viento del Rio is a perfect place to absorb the serenity of the Abiquiu area. Located off the beaten path (but not too far) centrally located to many area wonders. There are numerous places to hike nearby. Views of mountains (including Pedernal) in all directions are stunning. Nearby attractions include Plaza Blanca, Georgia O'Keefe Welcome Center and Ghost Ranch. Easy drive to Taos and Santa Fe. A truly lovely place to rest, relax and take in all the nearby sites and activities.

Taos Earthship: Modern + Mesa

Located in the world-famous Greater World Earthship Community, this modern off-grid home is one of a kind! Built by hand over 8 years by me, your host, Kirsten. This sustainable house is bright, light, and airy with clean lines and unique details. Like all Earthships this house is built from natural and repurposed materials such as used automobile tires, cardboard, old cans and bottles. All electricity for the house is from solar. All water is from the sky. More comfort, less hippie.

Hawk House

This cozy 2-story home sits on 10 acres in the Chama River Valley, with views of Cerro Pedernal and the mountains. Rustic, cozy, with all basic amenities. Ideal for the solo artist or couple. Hiking + hot springs nearby, including Ghost Ranch, Poshuouingue ruins & Ojo Caliente Springs! Most pets are welcome (for a pet fee). The Treehouse is a charming casita nestled under beautiful trees on a spacious property located on the banks of the Rio Pueblo. The stylish interior offers a rejuvenating, calm, and pampered experience. Outdoors, enjoy a wrap-around deck with a gas grill, fire pit, lounging areas, and a private hot tub off the bedroom. Located just off a main road, The Treehouse provides easy access to the historic Taos Plazas, Taos Pueblo (a World Heritage Site), and Taos Ski Valley.

Private/Cozy 2 bedroom cabin

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful hideaway. Very private, you will have 2 acres to yourself, the owners are NOT on the property. Spend the evening star gazing on the balcony, or roasting marshmallows on the open fire pit. There is also Wi-Fi and two televisions for those who would rather relax indoors. We remodeled the cabin recently, so it is ready for your family’s adventures. During winter months, 4x4 or AWD vehicle may be necessary, due to snow.
