Cosy converted barn in Sussex Countryside

NikRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great stay at the barn. The surrounding area was nice and peaceful. Richard recommended us a few walking routes, things to do and eating places nearby. There were lots of toys /games for my son to play with. The tree house, trampoline and badminton area were a bonus. The barn itself was very well organized and clean. I would highly recommend it.

Former Game keepers lodge with woodburner

Lee AnneRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Enchanting and cosy! I had a lovely stay here, came for 5 nights to do an online course and have time to myself. Loved the decor, warm, cosy lamp light, had everything to cook meals, great woodburner on a couple of chilly nights, very comfy bed and bedding. Beautiful dawn chorus, spotted a deer from the window one day, was lucky to meet Reggae the dog, warm hello from Sally and husband. As others have said, probably not suitable for people with certain disabilities as the loo is tight and the bed is quite a climb (high :), both not a problem for me. Lovely area and Uckfield a short drive away for shopping. I recommend and hope to come again.

A beautiful and luxurious place to stay in a quiet and peaceful location, with great access to the surrounding area. The barn is beautifully appointed to a very high standard and lovely and fresh and clean. A big thankyou to the hosts, Graham and Caro, who were warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back again.

Cosy cabin in the woods

The accommodation was spacious, very well maintained, and equipped, also beautifully furnished and very cosy. The position in Ashdown Forest was stunning, and the surrounding garden lovely. A generous breakfast was left in the fridge, and we were very comfortable.

‘The Water Snug’ Floating Lake Cabin

JoeRating, 5 stars2 days ago
What a visit! We’ve absolutely loved every minute of our stay with Patrick and Juliette, they have created the most beautiful living space and could not have been more friendly and accommodating. It’s a fantastic spot for either a calm getaway or for if you want to do some exploring, and your hosts have excellent local knowledge that they are happy to share if you need recommendations for the area. We had planned to just relax on the boat for the whole time, but we actually wound up visiting nearby areas (Brighton, the beautiful Sheffield Park, local pubs) before retreating to the boat for the evenings, and we loved this mix. Could not recommend this place enough, it’s been our favourite holiday yet and I’m certain that we’ll be back in future!
