BehrenSCHLAF vacation home Stay in the thatched farmhouse and discover nature and the countryside well rested. Built around 1780 as a smoking house, the farmhouse is protected under historic preservation and has been lovingly maintained. You will stay in our cozy apartment with a terrace to the south side and views of our garden. Holtenauer Straße with shops, supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, cafés and bars is right around the corner. For safety, cameras are at the entrance. You can expect 29 m² of living space in the 100-year-old half-timbered house.

It is 12 km to the Baltic Sea (Neustadt), Lübeck 35 km, Kiel 45 km, Hamburg 85 km. Massenat with its lakes and the possibility to rent canoes/kayaks is 15 km away. The nearest regional train is 9 km away. The landscape is hilly. There are many forests, fields and lakes.

Our beautiful official house is the former residence of the Duke of Oldenburg and is located in the back part of our estate, surrounded by greenery overlooking fields and meadows. The rooms are spacious and tastefully designed and even with many people you will always find your own retreat to breathe. A huge, private garden with terrace and garden furniture awaits you, adjacent to our horse pasture.

This pretty spot of earth is located between Lübeck and Kiel - in the middle of beautiful Holstein Switzerland - and is also just a stone's throw from the Baltic Sea. From the former kitchen house has become a cozy cottage - and we would like to invite you to be our guest.
