Shepherd's hut near Abergavenny in Brecon Beacons

NehaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Carol and George’s Shepherd hut is a little piece of heaven. It is tucked away in a quiet place between fields and mountains with endless views and sunshine. We could hear nothing but the birdsong and cattle. The garden is private and has the most stunning sunset view. We could not have asked for a better break from the bustling city life. Carol and George gave us a warm welcome on arrival which was a sweet personal touch. We would definitely return!!
A spacious cabin is visible, framed by lush green trees and vibrant shrubs. A wooden trellis stands nearby, adding to the garden's charm. A circular table with several chairs is situated in the foreground, surrounded by colorful blooming flowers, suggesting a peaceful outdoor space.

Cwmachau - Tynant

MattRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Very good stay at Cwmachua cabins. Fantastic set up with great views. The cabin has everything you need and is presented really well. They provide a lot of tips and insight into the local area with their check in book which was very useful. The hosts are very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed whilst also leaving us to it. It is a little way out of the nearest town but this is to be expected with such great views. Would highly recommend to anybody!

The Cows Cubicle

HelenRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Really lovely location and super easy to find with good directions from Gwen who was really quick to respond to any queries I had. I stayed in the Cows Cubicle which was simple but lovely. There were some games and books in the hut if you needed them along with a kettle and mugs. I only stayed a couple of nights and it was blissful. The facilties were great with a small kitchen, toilet/sink room and shower room just a short walk away. This worked out okay for me as only 4 people staying in the various accommodation at the time. Kitchen has some facilities to cook which worked fine for me and you get a breakfast hamper from them in the morning with cereal, milk, orange juice, crossiants, jam & butter. Lovely place to relax.
A glamping cabin with wooden siding is set on a deck overlooking open fields. A hot tub is positioned nearby, providing a place for relaxation. The structure features large windows, allowing natural light and scenic views of the surrounding landscape.

Beautiful scenery with views of the mountains from the cabin and hot tub. Would have preferred a 4 person hot tub but the 2 person was fine. Close enough to Brecon town and far enough away to feel peaceful. I would recommend to friends and family for a little get away.

Cosy woodland cabin

KimRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The location of Katy and James’ Airbnb is perfect! Less than an hours drive to get to some great hikes/waterfalls. The private bit of woodland outside the hut was brilliant for the dog. Theres so much to walk about and see just on the land where you stay! Katy and James were great hosts, flexible with check in times (we were a little bit early) and recommended some great local spots to go to! After a long day hiking in the rain it would have been good to have a spot to dry jackets or trousers. Having a limit on shower time is understandable due to using a reserve of rainwater, but again after a days hike being able to have a shower longer than 2mins would have been lush! Saying that the water was piping hot and so welcomed. We picked a soggy weekend to walk up Welsh mountains! Woodland Park is a fab spot to switch off and be right in nature. Thanks for having us!

The Toad…Quirky train stay with wood fired hot tub

FlorenceRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed in the Toad for our 4 year anniversary of being boyfriend and girlfriend. When we arrived the Toad was beautifully presented and had its own little character and quirks which made it a fun place to stay! We loved the hot tub and the fire area. The area had plenty to explore, we visited Henrhyd Falls where my boyfriend proposed behind the falls! Pen Y Fan is a great challenge to climb and we did the loop route on the map. Brecon Mountain Railway made for a fantastic day out with the steam trains - staff very friendly. Big Pit Coal Mine was fascinating and the waterfall country walk was stunning! Our host was very helpful - we had a tesco delivery arrive and it went to the wrong place but our host sorted it for us. Highly recommend - do not hesitate to book - you will love staying here! Thank you for making our first trip to Wales and the next chapter in our relationship so magical! xx

Tub For Two Completely Secluded, Romantic,Retreat

Maja HerminaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A beautiful experience. Very peaceful. Especially loved a little window out on to the green right in front of our bed. In rainy windy weather the hot tub really took a lot of time to heat up. We went through a bucket of wood just to get it to temperature, but it was so worth it and stayed warm for many hours, so future visitors, don’t give up! Thank you for everything, had a wonderful time

Waterfall Country Pods 5

CaitlynRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I had a lovely stay here! The scenery was lovely with plenty of hiking trails nearby - was a great location for the four waterfalls hike/trail which we done one day! Stunning! Very clean & tidy, easy check-in/out. Stacey gave clear instructions about everything and answered any questions. Would love to stay here again as my stay wasn’t long enough to see everything I wanted to see! 10/10 would recommend based on these factors. Will only say the only negative was that our fairylights didn’t work on the outside of our cabin, I like to sit outside in the evenings when it is peaceful so this would have been nice! However this didn’t take away from the whole experience. Thanks, Caitlyn :)

Cabin Arosfa-ensuite nr BikePark & Brecon Beacons

CraigRating, 5 stars4 months ago
A lovely spot hidden away with all the amenities you need, its really quiet there too. My son and I stopped off here after a day riding at bike park Wales, 10-15 minute drive and we were through the gates unpacking the car. The secure armour box for the 2 bikes was perfect. We had the en-suite cabin, but could have easily used the shower block across the path if needed. The small visitor store cupboard was brilliant and the drying room would have been handy if we were wet. The cabin was clean, warm and the beds were super comfortable.

Fantastic place to stay. Beautiful location, very close to the horse show ridge walk and the four water falls trail. Very quiet, peaceful location with a lovely pub just 5 minutes down the road. Stacey’s information on the welcome email was great, check in was very very straight forward and felt right at home in the pods. Ended up checking out late by mistake and they couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating for it! Thank you!
